"The ego can't imagine what freedom is."
God! That hit me! The feeling when I hear the right words at the right time is unexplainable! Thanks Adya! Thank you for beeing!

So this is the moment when I realize that listening to this is my way to avoid aloneness. I'm sure the end of the discourse is great, but I don't feel like hearing it anymore. Shutting down the computer. Going inside.

Guillaume Léveillé I had the exact same realization. Wow.

Not caring about "the story of me" anymore. This is along the same lines as Scott Peck saying in "The Road Less Traveled" that the time comes for a person to let go of "my story of unhappiness". An important turning point for me. Get up and leave the movie theatre.......you will find freedom.

Amazing piece. Loved the part: "I must get rid of my desires, then I'll be able to get the things I most desire" .... hahah that's perfectly accurate por an "enlightened ego"

So accept being alone...sounds easy but ego doesnt like that.
I‘ll look out for a spiritual community, maybe just pushing the problem in front of me...

This talk has so many similarities with Jed McKenna's way of explaining things. Same words, same analogies, I'm starting to be convinced by the theory that they are the same people.

I thought the same thing. I think maybe Jed Mckenna inspires himself from Adyashanti, and other teachers.

everyone is the same person..literally everyone. Well, the same being, not the same "person", if there is such a thing.

have heart Adyashanti to tell truth how you drove being almost to suicide with intentional threats of harming my child, and used that to burn my light bodies, soul, intellect to Canadian Chinese mothers and children, thinking I ma saving my child. And harmed him as soon as I started to speak up truth about your sangha Vancouver friends transgressions and harming children and mothers and forcing into ‘lovership’ or ‘tantra’ by intentional damaging health, mind and body as if surrender

Perhaps he's got to discourage self-harm because it's a liability.
