I'm hoping for that exact one as well. Right now I'm not sure wildy fits into my plan but if rev weapons get their buff everywhere then it becomes a much easier pickup for me.
Desert is good for ancients. Zeah is good for ancestral + the prayer. Kandarin gives you a big boost in dmg from the jewelry, plus the charged staves. Some other support options for mage are Wildy and Fremmy. If you're set on Desert, then I'd probably look at Fremmy + Kandarin. You'll miss out on CoX gear but since you'll have DT2 bosses I think it'll be alright. That'll also allow you to use the empowered ancient staves with ancients. I wouldn't lock in your plan until after we hear more about echo bosses though, cause that could change things.
I think with GG you make like 300M+ an hour in any area, and then with F/V you can make like... 2.1b/hr or so? Even if that is the right figure.... your money is infinite at that point lol.
And most people won't actually mess with you out there.... most..... That one freakin' guy camping my food pile to make it despawn last league cause I didn't have that setting turned off. 😡😡😡
it would almost be the perfect swap out for desert for me if i wouldn't lose out on ancients. but if we have a similiar aoe effect on all spells like we did last year on the magic arc i might just swap it out. especially seeing i can just get the shadow out of CoX along with ancestral now.
I do wish there was another way to pickup the other spellbooks. Maybe that'll be one of the masteries or relics this year -- seeing as they did that same thing for the prayers last year. The idea of having to pick up an area to get the spellbook kind of sucks. Especially for ancients, since it is so useful with combat. Wouldn't mind getting the arceuus one or lunars though outside of their respective areas.
I think the wildy benefits mage more ever so slightly. Think A/D are very solid for either though so lots of wiggle room on the choices. If you end up focusing mage, could probably drop A since D will give you ancients and DT2 boss access anyway. Would help if you wanted even more flexibility.
Thanks! And yep! I'll be doing this type of vid for every area. Should have them all out by the 1st/2nd week of November at the current pace. Plenty of time before leagues starts and also leaves some space for some additional vids if any of the echo info or masteries or relics end up changing things.
Wildy having easy pts is why i end up picking it. Nothing is mechanically difficult, imbued ring of wealth makes for easy clue farming (it stacked with clue relic last leagues. Pair that with zeah for easy masters [clues have so many pts behind them its insane])
I really want to pick wilderness but losing untradables on death is kinda troll. No idea why that's a thing even though it is all a pvm death. Like losing a fire or inferno cape just because someone wants your xp spot and doesnt want to hop worlds .. idk man
I thought you kept everything last year besides black chins and sallys. There has been discussion to fix those two as well cause it seems pointless to lose them if you're already keeping stuff. I don't remember having to reclaim anything personally.

I took wilderness in the first trailblazer and the instant money & supply dump felt so powerful, especially for someone who didn't play that much. I think if fire sale exists wilderness is a lot less appealing early
Ya, that's fair. Fire sale made shop heavy regions much better and there are quite a few resource shops out there that you could take advantage of with that. I still the wilderness supplies cover more areas than shops, but it certainly weakens the value proposition of the wilderness.
@@CipherBotChronicles Pretty much this. You can go after other people, but nobody drops anything. The exception to this being creatures (black chins/tecu salamanders/etc.) and supply piles if you have that setting on (I recommend turning it off). Creatures are gone forever. The fact he was sitting on my pile of pots/food makes me think otherwise though. The fact he started hunting for me after my stuff despawned makes me think different though lol.
Really think these videos atm are nothing burgers. We don’t know what exactly the echo bosses are dropping, they alone will shake up literally everything.
I figure it is worth reviewing what is available in the areas. Sure, we don't know the echo bosses or masteries -- which will change how we interact with everything. It won't change what is there though (outside of a new equipment drop of some kind from the echos). Going that way you wouldn't have ancients either. While it's not possible for standard setup with max mage, I was thinking combat masteries/relics would make up for that fact. Idk how much that helps you though lol. Asgarnia gives a decent amount of mage stuff since DT2 bosses aren't locked behind the desert though. Still would be a bit stuck without the desert cause no ancients. That's a tough one to sort. Echo boss weapons might help solve this though.
always wanted to pick wildy since its so overpowered for earlygame but it quickly falls off and becomes a pretty useless region overall, might be a good shout for people who are only planning to play the first few days, knock out alot of points and then stop playing.
I think the supply drops can help it carry on a bit into the late game for skilling tasks as well. Depends a bit on other regions though. A lot of bosses will drop supplies and if you are already going to farm those then it becomes less worth taking wildy. I may have said this already in the vid, but Wildy functioned as a great time save for me on my 2nd account. Didn't really want to grind a bunch of bosses, just pick up the easy points and then camp revs for skilling supplies.
Well wildy is good early, and earlier you get it, the less pker there will be also. I don't know if most would pick wildy first in their 3 picks, but it's often one of the less picked zone, meaning there should be plenty of empty world for the bosses also. Tons of easy points, and pretty good slayer monsters available.
@@jawstrock2215 There are no pkers. There is a troll or 2 who will compete over a rev or boss, but to call them pkers is a bit much. Also, it's a very good region to hit your max relic. For most players, this is the endgame of leagues. You just do PVM with no supply concerns, and can often get enough skilling supplies from those grinds to hit the other task targets. So it's actually a good region through the entire leagues unless you plan on going for mega rates and maxing out your skills/points. That's a minority of players.
@@jawstrock2215I recommend it. If you enjoy doing casual PVM/slayer, it's the best region by far, with very little supply management or skilling required to get points. Also, with echo bosses, it might also have endgame gear now. Mage relic with ancients makes it almost afk to farm the various bosses. That can get boring, but leagues is all about easy, fun stuff and seeing wild drops or rates. Might be more interesting relic possibilities elsewhere tho
For being a totally innocent name, there are a lot of very close non-innocent things that can come from it lol. "Yew Tree + Lumber Jack..... Yew jack. What could go wrong." ~Kid me
Just to be clear. DO NOT pick the wilderness UNLESS you are only planning on playing the League for a week maximum. This zone is such bait in every subcategory of the word where people who try to end up theory crafting will deeply regret their decision. HOWEVER, the Wilderness would be a great zone to play in if you do end up deciding to make a second account during Leagues because you might not want to do all of the longer and more tedious grinds again. The issue is we only have three zones and people will be wanting to go for the best late game setups imaginable and categorically speaking, supplies and GP can and WILL inevitably end up being grinded out for by people who want to enjoy their late games more.
Ya. If you're going hard for the full 8 weeks wildy won't hold value for you. I think a large part of the player base falls off after the first few weeks though. You've got all the relics and such, got the easier points, ready for a break. I also think you can still have a lot of fun with the wilderness. Doesn't really have anything BIS (unless echo stuff is crazy) so it does suffer there. Wildy is not a good min/max area in that regard.
@@joshholmes1372 Probably end up with a mix of both, but ya -- picking for enjoyment tends to make leagues more enjoyable. Go figure lol. I let optimization brain get me last leagues and didn't super enjoy my first route.

Not that anyone would ever believe me, but no. I don't say it on purpose -- or maybe more accurately, I don't say it intentionally like that. Something about when the word is by itself (rune) it just doesn't come out right lol. Even typing this, even reading this, I can hear it. Ruin. No idea. Bit of a side tangent: when I started playing runescape there were very few people I had around me playing it. Gf played back in the day. Maybe I got it from her. Didn't want to make her feel bad or something. Who knows lol.
It has been the least picked region in the past, so I think a lot of people overlook it. The people who do take it certainly love it though. I was enjoying all those supply/gp drops on my 2nd account last year. Plus the pool. Ferox pool was very useful.
@@jurgnobs1308 Maybe. It did get some extra attention in the past year so it could be on more people's radar. Agility course, rogues castle chests, zombie pirates. Is some juicy gp just waiting to be had.
@@YewJackOSRSI believe the assumption is that echo bosses giving 2-near BIS options is huge for wildy, because that's the only thing Wildy doesn't offer, and it's otherwise a very strong early/mid game/pvm pick. Just a guess though. Gp isn't the actual benefit of these new updates considering how easy and lucrative revs/bosses are with all the combat relics. More general supply drops from chests though is big since wildy is already a mad support pick. wilderness is honestly a really strong support region, ive taken it on a few alt accounts but never the main, but it is quick points/supplies and fun content
Ya. I think it is a decent region overall, plus is a bit light on the tasks -- so you can focus on other areas with larger grinds.
I’m hoping there will be some region exclusive combat masteries such as rev weapon bonuses working outside the wilderness (this was a thing in DMM).
I'm hoping for that exact one as well. Right now I'm not sure wildy fits into my plan but if rev weapons get their buff everywhere then it becomes a much easier pickup for me.
Thinking Varlamore, Wildy and Mory, i dont play much outside of leagues and if ive not had a chance to do all the content these regions provide
That'll be solid. Mory has enough to basically carry any areas along with it. Varlamore is similar in terms of gear spread. Should be good!
Chaos Elemental is great for getting the elite task for getting a pet that is usually included.
@@slayer100141 That's a good point. I do hope to see kbd or chaos ele get some love though so they can have a non-pet unique
I really want to go for a mage-focused build this League and don't fully know which zone to go for besides desert!

Thanks! Will do. 😁
Correct me if I'm wrong but 5.2bill with golden god to get max pray that's with the chaos altar?
I think with GG you make like 300M+ an hour in any area, and then with F/V you can make like... 2.1b/hr or so? Even if that is the right figure.... your money is infinite at that point lol.
I chose wildly first last region for fun lmao I will 100% choosing wildly first again. It’s a great way to try out content you normally would!
I am thinking about asgarnia desert wildy. Will decide between range and mage. 🎉
I think the wildy benefits mage more ever so slightly. Think A/D are very solid for either though so lots of wiggle room on the choices. If you end up focusing mage, could probably drop A since D will give you ancients and DT2 boss access anyway. Would help if you wanted even more flexibility.
I subscribed. Gooe content mate. Hope to see the same coverage for the rest of the areas over the next month.
Thanks! And yep! I'll be doing this type of vid for every area. Should have them all out by the 1st/2nd week of November at the current pace. Plenty of time before leagues starts and also leaves some space for some additional vids if any of the echo info or masteries or relics end up changing things.

@@adantonio92411 Golly gee mister. What a swell thing to say. 😅
The supply drops definitely make the wilderness a solid pick alone
Lots and lots of supplies! 😁
Wildy having easy pts is why i end up picking it. Nothing is mechanically difficult, imbued ring of wealth makes for easy clue farming (it stacked with clue relic last leagues. Pair that with zeah for easy masters [clues have so many pts behind them its insane])
Mhm. Wildy has a lot of benefit for someone not wanting to commit a ton of time to a region. Great support pick imo.

I got Ely last wilderness and every weapon and infinite money, loved it 741 kc tho on that ely drop lol
That is a lot of corp for leagues. Oof lol.
Suppose it is still actually lucky too. Ely is like 1/5k normally right?
@@YewJackOSRS1/4k and it was about drop rate considering the 5x drop rate, corp is not bad with right relics, no need to stat spec down just spam fang and specs
I wanted to do meelee build for thes leagues and I thought I would choose Kandarin, Asgarnia and Mory, but now I think K will be changed by W 😁 tge only thing I conserned that I wont have a grate ring slot 😁
Won't be super good but you can pick up the granite ring or one of the wildy boss rings. I don't think 1 slot will impact your gameplay much with the masteries and such so I wouldn't sweat it.
@@YewJackOSRS I thinking that way too , plus wildy suports skilling so much , you cant get that anywhere else and money is like a firesale from last leagues 😁
Honestly ring of the gods (i) is super good. +8 prayer and holy wrench effect. Sure no DPS but will save you alot of prayer in the long run

Can we please start in a different area?
From what they've said, we won't this year. Would be a cool change of pace in future leagues.
Imagine a wildy start for everyone. That'd be wild lol.
Agreed. The Catherby start was a fun alternative. I'd like to see something like that come back
@@littlereesie Oh ya, they did do that for leagues 3 huh. It was fun seeing everyone scrambling around catherby bank early on.
@@YewJackOSRS and league 1 was in zeah.
Lots of potential to have different starting zones.
I think they are only sticking to Mist+Karamja because it lacks some content to make it a decent unlock... but they could just turn it into a good league point zone...
@@jawstrock2215 I think if they leave them lumped together with the addition of TDs + Zombie axe.... it is actually a decent zone. Still lacks good bossing options in the late game. That might be the issue. Then again though.... Kandarin doesn't really have that much going for it either really. Sometimes you need bad regions to help make other choices easier. 😂
Will there be pvp since its in the wilderness?
People can attack each other but you don't lose items (outside of things like black chins unless they change that this year).

With the agility course change the wildy agility course will become a money printer during Leagues
Indeed. Fair to say most of the things in the wild print money. Money and Supplies! Money and Supplies! lol
It's the echo weapon for me

Mobs means monsters, mate
@@Shlraori thank you Sharon how are the kids
Yes
Indeed.
In leagues there is pvp in wilderness ?
From what I remember yesterday but since we are all irons we don't get the loot. So it's literally just to greif others.
@@CipherBotChronicles Pretty much this. You can go after other people, but nobody drops anything. The exception to this being creatures (black chins/tecu salamanders/etc.) and supply piles if you have that setting on (I recommend turning it off).
Creatures are gone forever. I do hope they change that this year so you don't waste black chins.
Supplies the other people can't pick up, but they will despawn after 2-3 minutes. I got griefed last year cause I had that setting on and a dude decided to camp my pile until it disappeared.
@@YewJackOSRS It's not greifing.. they're having fun, it's the wilderness.. irrespective of loot, people who enjoy PvP will PvP.. it's quite literally the area for it.
@@mightybigb00 Eeeehhhhhh. There's a line between PvP and camping a specific person to ruin their experience.
Some one who doesn't like pvp will feel that the later is happening to them if someone is camping rev dragons or something for example. In those cases, ya I get it -- that's not griefing though it will feel like it to the person dying. Maybe that's what this guy was doing. Maybe. The fact he was sitting on my pile of pots/food makes me think otherwise though. The fact he started hunting for me after my stuff despawned makes me think different though lol.
Yes I will spec dump you on sight every single time
Really think these videos atm are nothing burgers.
In this way, I can give a general overview and then as we get more info on the other pieces I can talk about those specifically. I am planning on doing some kind of tier list or speaking to all the areas as a whole once we get all the info.

@@YewJackOSRS i dont believe you can unlock an elemental tome + wrath runes with wildy tho, so we relegated to ice barraging it seems. Tbh i wish non powered staves had more oomph
@@rhett3350 Hmm. You need mory for the staff right? Wildy cause wildy.... Ya, I guess you have to fremmy for wrath runes. Isn't really a way around that so you're locked out of a tome.
Echo boss weapons might help solve this though.
damn boi, Thats a long vid to say wildy bad.

Thanks for guide. Now i know I dont choose wilderness.
@@RuneScape_Clips You're welcome. 😁
always wanted to pick wildy since its so overpowered for earlygame but it quickly falls off and becomes a pretty useless region overall, might be a good shout for people who are only planning to play the first few days, knock out alot of points and then stop playing.
@@ergofiction5627 I was thinking it was like that, a nice catapulting region to get all your relics/area unlocked quickly, but I never tried. .

WILDERNESS
TRASH - AGREED
ROON lolll
rune = RUIN gang, let's gooo.
Or hear me out...pick the regions with the content you want to do and not the gear you want to get. Smh
@@joshholmes1372 Probably end up with a mix of both, but ya -- picking for enjoyment tends to make leagues more enjoyable. Go figure lol. I let optimization brain get me last leagues and didn't super enjoy my first route.
Why do you say Ruin? Its rune. Roon. Roon, like I walked into the Room with a broom, zoom Soon, groom, loom, etc etc.
Honestly i think you're saying it on purpose and thats scummy if true
Not that anyone would ever believe me, but no. I don't say it on purpose -- or maybe more accurately, I don't say it intentionally like that.
As more folks have pointed this out, I do find it a bit odd. I have no problem saying Runescape correctly (and other similar words). Something about when the word is by itself (rune) it just doesn't come out right lol. Even typing this, even reading this, I can hear it. Ruin. No idea.
Bit of a side tangent: when I started playing runescape there were very few people I had around me playing it. My guess is either I said it wrong initially (wouldn't be the first time I screwed up a pronunciation - especially as a kid), or one of those friends said it wrong and we all just assumed it was correct. It has been the least picked region in the past, so I think a lot of people overlook it.

@@YewJackOSRS yea but I feel people talk about it very differently this year
@@jurgnobs1308 Maybe.
Prayer pots from rogues chest for example, could help alleviate some issues with non wildy PVM grinds, reducing any farming/herblore engagement
