Covid restrictions and dickhead politicians turned the nightmare into a living hell. Watching your journey with your dad’s ute has put a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. Just brilliant! Scotty, it's not about making faster times, It's about setting the goal for your old boy & you did it. Yeah we had probs with govt enforced lockdowns, supply problems & the time wasted, but you put that time to good use. It's the first time your old boys ute had been on the track but think of it as testing & development.
If your old boy was alive, I'm sure he'd be doing cartwheels that his ute is at Heathcote & that we watched a shell of a ute transformed.

Once again, sorry I missed ya! I was working the Canteen there for most of the Saturday. Hopefully I'll catch ya tomorrow at the Holden Nationals, I hope to be able to get out there again, of only as a spectator this time :( - No runs for "Baby" for a bit, gotta save up for a *proper* helmet before they'll let me race again (In the fly-over right at the start, I think I could actually pick "Baby" out where I parked her though!)
As for the 60' time... Well, even with a VERY mild v6 (externals only, stock exhaust, etc), Baby still pulled best 60' time of 2.357 to top out at 16.131 @ 85.14mph

Congrats Scotty and family, wel worth the effort in getting it done and running. Only things I'll say; whatever you do in the future with this, keep it ultra reliable, don't chase mega hp. Use it for fun like this, cause that's what your Dad would've done. And, when you get the chance, take your son for a pass in it, it will make his day, if not month or year!
