Aaaaah....Both Sides is SUCH an amazing record. It's a shame more people don't know about this song....flawless.
This song is the best he has ever written and that is not something said lightly, as he is the most amazing singer. This song makes me cry and smile and hurt inside, he puts so much feeling and heart into it and besides...it is so true.

Schade, dass das Album "Both sides" von dem Medien damals so unterbewertet worden ist. Für mich ist es das beste Album, was er solo rausgebracht hat!
Dieses Lied und "Dreaming while you sleep" habe ich sofort geliebt und das ist auch heute noch so!
Phil Collins war/ist und bleibt für mich einer der besten Popsänger der Welt!!!

He is one of the most beautiful voices of our time and has transitioned over decades. His music has come back into my life after my bride of 32 years passed away in Feb.

Yes -- This was and is one of the best Phil Collins songs. When "Both Sides" came out, Nirvana and Pearl Jam were taking over the radios - Phil was in the past. It's a shame though....He still was coming out with some really moving stuff.

I'm certain this song would have been used on Miami Vice had it still been in production when Phil came out with this. He was hugely influential in the music of that show anyway, and this sounds like it would have been a good fit in an episode.
Has he ever done this song live? Easily the best of his songs that didn't get much if any airplay.
