    Man, a review with all the facts, tests and numbers? Awesome! I have looked everywhere for thrust/power-to-weight-ratio for this little quad, and you even took the time to calculate efficiency and compare it to other similar quads, and on both 1s and 2s? Damn.... The first 5 minutes of this video conveyed far more information than the 3 x 40 minute reviews other FPV-channels have made on this

    Thank you for this video. It was really helpful. Especially the very back of the canopy section where you actually showed the orientation of the little L shaped part that goes between each side of the camera shroud. Very detailed video. Thank you again. There is only one thing. There is a red version of the canopy and shroud on the market but it doesn't have the two holes for the 2 screws that hold the L shaped bar on the camera shroud. Just an FYI.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's because the red canopy is for the Caddx EOS2 camera which screws onto the shroud and doesn't need the bracket :) Thank you very much, I am happy you found it useful!

    any suggestions on not damaging motors on prop removal? tool provided is a piece of garbage lol. i managed to get 3 off by holding the bell from underneath and twisting off the prop. last one gave me trouble and i ended up bending a shaft.... so low and behold i tried to straighten it and popped off the c-clamp.. 20 mins later got the clamp back on. all just to find that motor has now stopped. after some testing figured out the bell was raised. All back in order now lol

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Holding the bell and twisting the prop off is the safest way. It is a pain, I know, but I don't like using the various prop tools either. The shafts in these micro motors are fragile. You can thread a piece of floss or string under the prop hub, hold the bell and pull the prop from the string. But twisting the prop helps more.

    Lost me at transmitter! What is it? Where do I get one from & what type? Thee are very few easy to understand videos on transmitters

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are two kinds of transmitters in FPV. One is the Video Transmitter (VTx) and it is on the quadcopter. The other is the transmitter inside the Radio Controller that you use in order to fly the craft. To be exact, most recent radios both transmit and receive information for their telemetry capabilities. Each brand has its own protocol so your choice depends on what type of protocol is most suitable for you or is more affordable / common. FrSky is very common, good enough for most applications and widely available in most ready-to-fly quadcopters. There are also brands like Jumper that have a multi-protocol transmitter which is compatible with receivers of various different brands. I would suggest that you avoid the very cheap radios. If you end up sticking with this hobby, you will want a better radio very soon - If you end up bot liking this hobby, they have almost no reselling value. Something like the FrSky QX7 or X9D lite and the Jumper T16 are very good value for money options that will last you a long time, have a big user base for troubleshooting / tips / how-tos and have all the features you will need for FPV. I hope I helped, let me know if you have more questions!

    Can you run the 1s batteries like the 450 Mah ones as 2s on the Mobula 7? Whenever i see someone run 2S on it they use smaller 300 mah 1S batteries never the bigger tinyhawk like batteries. ????

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Does the FlySky version not have turtle mode? Also can someone recommend a good informative video on how to properly charge Lipos and how to know what you’re not supposed to run them down to in terms of charge? I’m waiting for my mob7 but it’s my very first drone and I have no idea what I’ll be doing lol... also the charging aspect, does that 6 port battery charger stop when it reaches charged or does it just keep charging them cause can’t that ruin your Lipo?

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have no idea about the Flysky version, sorry. Charging is easy and safe, if you are careful. Starting with small 1S and 2S batteries will be a great way for you to get used to cell voltages, charging / hv charging / storage charging etc. Do not charge unattended and always pay special attention to batteries that have been damaged / dented in a crash. The included charger will stop charging when it reaches the charge voltage you have set - these charger are not very accurate so at time it may exceed the max voltage (at least that is what I have noticed on some chargers of this kind). "Standard" charge voltage is at 4.2V for each cell, which will give you a total of 8.4V for a 2S battery. High-Volt charge voltage is at 4.35V, it gives you more oomph but it may reduce the lifetime of the battery. Discharging is a bit more complicated, because during flying the voltage you see in your OSD will be lower than the resting voltage of the battery a while after you land and unplug. LiPos deteriorate if they go below 3V per cell so in general you don't want to go below 3.4-3.5V resting voltage. This probably means that you will see 3.1, 3.0 or even a bit less voltage when flying - which is normal because the battery "sags" under load. I can't recall a specific video to suggest to you, I will check my bookmarks and come back to you if I find one that summarizes everything well enough.

I can’t tell you how many times I say I’m new and people talk to me with abbreviations and numbers like Ive been flying drones for 5 years and I’m like “uhhh... wut?” lol. I’ll be sure to drop a sub man, and will most likely be in here a lot after I get the thing and am trying to figure out betaflight values and working the program altogether, I know it’s recommended to learn on auto level mode or whatever, horizon mode I can’t remember what it’s called. But I feel if I learn right away on acro mode I’ll get better quicker. I just know I’ll probably destroy a lot of frames cause apparently it’s weak on the Mob7.. cheers bro!

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No worries. It is a lot to learn at once so get your mobula up and running, enjoy flying and take it one step at a time. Look only into the subject you need to tackle at a given time, don't try to learn / tweak everything from the beginning :) Get yourself a few of the V3 mobula (or trashcan) frames, they are a lot more durable.

      You're welcome! Nope, I don't remember how much % it needed but it was just fine. Was it like this from the beginning? Have you added more weight to it? What batteries are you using?

      Everything is stock as it came from the box.the bat are happy model 250mhh HV 4.35v 30/60c 0.95wh .
      On 2s works great only the 1s sucks.

      Does the voltage drop a lot in your OSD when trying to fly on 1S? I don't think I tried flying 1S on the 250mAh Lipos. Do you have any larger 1S packs to try?

    • @asafmagen
      @asafmagen 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ive not check osd info for now its only los. But i suspect bad batteries. Ive just order a 1s 550mah so i will have to wait and see. Thanks for your feedback you gave me some directions.

      I hope the battery is indeed the culprit. Let me know how it goes with the 550mAh.

    What do you put in order to run only with 1s lipo ?

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You use the small jumper plug on one of the battery connectors and a 1S battery on the other connector, as shown in the video. If you have one of the first Mobulas maybe the jumper was not included, you will have to make one on your own.

    • @SajaksFavorites
      @SajaksFavorites 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you have bigger picture of the jumper ?

      I don't have a photo handy right now. It is a PH2.0 plug with a single cable. It is like the plug of this battery, with the black and red cables connected: img.staticbg.com/thumb/large/oaupload/banggood/images/15/85/66584322-ac8a-4ffb-800f-29bbe3a79e0b.jpg

      How many times have you charged them? Only on SV? Have you discharged them below 3.1V several times?

    • @crodge9718
      @crodge9718 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      newer batteries that I took care of never going below 3.1v, and also tried a few brand new batteries also with the same issue

    • @crodge9718
      @crodge9718 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      got to be a bad 2.0 connector or maybe solder connection?

    • @muteFPV

      Do you encounter similar problems on 2S? Not sure what it could be.

    Has anyone here ever owned or flown an aurora 68? It was one of the first brushless tiny whoop basically a while back. The lil thing absolutely ripped but was just to fragile you had to constantly fiddle with it to keep it up in the air.

    Anyhoo I've been out of the fpv thing for a minute now but after stumbling on a few videos of the mobula I pre-ordered one. I just hope I can find my taranis and fat sharks lol 😜. Nice video's btw

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks :D There is a lot of talking online, I prefer to deliver more info without saying a single word :) My content has evolved a lot, if you try one of my first videos I think you will find them almost unwatchable, compared to what I edit now. Did you NOT like how I present the info / did you find it cumbersome / annoying, or you would just prefer to listen instead of reading the captions? I crave for feedback :)

      @@muteFPV Hey, yeah I prefer concentrating on the images presented and listening to words rather than reading and watching the images shown. I cannot stand the idea of running 2 1s cells.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can always replace the battery connector to XT30, for example, and run 2S packs
