I am guessing the name Autofiction is serious because there are lot of factual errors. 1. Royal Enfield started manufacturing bikes in 1901 in Redditch England. The company which was established in Enfield was the Sewing company. Prior to making Bikes, Enfield made, sewing machines, guns (hence the motto 'built like a gun') etc. 2. Bullet was not introduced in 70s, it was introduced in 1955 when Indian Army ordered 800 bikes. In the same year it partnered with Madras Motors to set up and assembly plant in India and there was no Make in India at the time. Make in India Initiative came in 2014 under PM Modi's tenure. 3.The English Plant closed way back in 1970s. By then all the machining was moved to India so Royal Enfield India could continue to manufacture. The HQ of the company was in India. 4. The AVL engine was in 350 CC even in Lighting. In fact it was introduced with Lightning. I know this because my dad owned one. 5. Left side gear shift was in before thunderbird. Machismo had it, Electra had it and so did lightning 350.
