Spitfire Tech Talk - MPLS VPNs in just about 10 minutes

MPLS is one of those buzzwords that people involved in IT just keep coming across. Maybe they’ve been told an “MPLS VPN solution” is the answer to their problems. They know that they should probably get to grips with but all the books about MPLS on Amazon are at least 400 pages long.
In this video Graham Lewis Director of IP Engineering at Spitfire Network Services Ltd sets himself the task of explaining MPLS VPNs in 10 minutes 26 seconds, the time it takes to wait for that cup of tea to cool down.
As he explains MPLS is really a service provider technology, not the sort of thing you come across even in a relatively large corporate network. All this adds to the mystique surrounding MPLS.
The basic concept of label switching is explained clearly in language that does not assume detailed knowledge of networks nor patronises the viewer.
The video then goes on to explain how private networks are created using MPLS. All the necessary terminology that an IT decision maker is going to come up against when discussing an MPLS solution is covered in an easy to follow and mercifully short presentation.
