I’ve actually noticed less bots in certain places, one of them being revs and I’ve also noticed less spam bots at GE
Yeah I use to pk at the west pyrefiends in the cave but now there is hardly any when there use to be one or two bots in nearly everyworld
less players in total lately also tho..this is also the reason for increase in price in end game item as less players are playing endgame..

Everything is going up because of just how much gold is coming in to the game. I read that yesterday as well and it sounds like the amount of gold within the game has been going up despite banning that many bots, so "we are banning x many bots" sounds great but it clearly isn't enough to deal with the issue.
i rlly dont get how people think prices going up is a sign of less bots, it means more gp and gp beeing worth almost nothing in Dollar/Euro...
@@jokerrrr2313 Supply and demand. The basics of commerce. If the demand for coal, for example, stays the same but coal bots are banned/the material removed from the game, that will drive the price up because the supply was interrupted. Same with all other items.
I can see with my own eyes there are less bots currently in game, and the grand exchange prices are reflecting that.
In what world for you think that having less bots means prices would go down?
Bots are doing all the things nobody wants to do, as well as the things everyone else wants to do, this creating an inflated number of total drops of not only resources but also gear, making the prices go down because there will always be a total number of human players but if Jagex does nothing, you would see low grand exchange prices and hella characters on every world performing the most mundane activities. As not bans take places, the first ones you will see are going to be doing more risky things and more difficult content as soon as they can, and as time goes on bitters will make scripts for the less rewarding things because they have established a rotation and need to maintain it.
TLDR, your brain has to be a special form of touched to think prices go down when there is less supply.

I SERIOUSLY think that all this is pure cope. Jagex is notorious for being all talk and no action on bots. Bots arent going anywhere!
I wouldn't believe only 38 were false banned. They just false banned 9 outa 10 of evscapes accounts most likely because he's always playing on 10 accounts at once.. and it's not the first time they've done it too him

My account was banned after my Facebook account was hacked. It was during a long hiatus from OSRS so I didn't realize. I appealed it and had it successfully reversed 48 hours later. It's crazy to see how few people actually have that happen.
Gold farmers do this to get there accounts back, they make it seem like the account was hacked so they can recover it. Apparently it works alot of the time
i just wonder if the ge ability to buy items is the problem , since bots buy and sell items creating billions worth of tax , even if they get banned the tax money still remains

Ehm… higher prices means there is deflation in the currency. That means more gp entering the game, which means more bots, not less.
I don’t think it’s because of less bots, tbh I haven’t seen a difference in bot populations either. In my experience shit gets expensive because of how easy it is to acquire gp, and the massive influx of gp into the game market.
I’ve seen this happen in WoW classic era servers. Everybody was buying gold, and in turn prices for everything went up

Probably only through their internal database - not really a reason to verify outside of that though, at least I can't think of one.
You brought me way back when u said back in the day we could make money mining pure essence. That is the osrs I miss so much the player to player trading etc. I feel like bots benefit off the grand exchange the most imagine if they had to sell to players in a trade that would be crucial in my opinion to stop these bots.

If anything prices are going up because there are too many bots bringing gp into the game causing inflation. A lot of the price spikes are due to colosseum speculation, though.

It could be a combination of market stabilization or inflation from massive gold influx coming in from bots. It would be extremely hard to tell but you can look at the amount an item is traded and get a general idea since if the traded amount increases that means more people are obtaining the gold level to purchase, thus an influx i think ! Vise versa if traded amount declines its market stabilization @@LVCRFT2023
Let’s be real though, bot accounts are a huge amount of revenue for them. If they had the ability to press a button to magically remove all bots forever, they wouldn’t do it.
This is a brain dead take they know the player base will go down the more botting ruins the game why would they shoot themselves in the foot for a quick buck when they could prolong the income stream 😂

It's a good and bad tbh, as if you go back to 2012 ish when rs did the bot nuke you can see the major diff it had on the market and with how rs3 is today where legit no one cares to skill anymore (normally) yee. Bots are not good for games like Rs as it does mess with the Market but at the same time they are good, It's a hate and love thing at the end of the day.

Clear the bots yes jagex.. your lax policy of "oh we need them to stabilize player count." Only encourages more unhealthy primary recourse hoarding bot. It becomes a problem when they camp all of the best content in the game.
