I’m in MN and planted this lovely specimen. 🥰Didn’t realize it was a host plant. Glad to have it here.

I have never seen a plant that attracts a greater variety of wasps and bees. All summer this plant was covered with small bees and predatory wasps.

Thanks for posting this video. I'm growing this plant in my garden in Scotland. In winter, the plant goes chocolately brown so is really beautiful for a 'winter garden'/ structure.

Nice work on this video. I'm trying to find more info on processing the leaves and weaving them into sandals. This is a good overview of the plant.

You might contact the folks at Mammoth Cave and ask them to put you in touch with someone who might know, such as a researcher or specialist of some kind. Moccasins made from Rattlesnake master were found in the cave there.

Great video! Will one plant send up only one flower stalk, or several?

You are referring to the truffula tree. It is also used for weaving or knitting. Traditionally it is used to knit Thneeds, very useful, versatile item and everyone needs one. The "honey like smell" is similar to the smell of butterfly milk. Please get your facts straight, accuracy is important......Peggie Who
