It's the goodness of God that leadeth us unto repentance not fear campaigns. Which makes Derek Prince one of the many pharisaical fundamentalists who use scare tactics such as hell, eternal suffering, everlasting punishment as power tools to control people and keep them in check. Therefore even though Derek preached a lot of truth, it's the poison he also preached that proved he was wrong by a long shot.

We stay neutral, thinking we are in a safe place. But being neutral seems to be as bad as doing bad. Regardless of doing wrong or not doing anything at all, both those options dont bring good.

I am also at a point in my life where fear-based "motivation" such as that promoted in this video about "being cursed" is no longer working for me, after so many decades of living under this. I simply feel oppressed, angry, resentful and want to move away from Christianity when I am threatened. Yes, and depressed too, when pastors or lay pastors try to use fear to motivate their followers. Puke up emoti.

I have learned a lot from Derek Prince. But I respectfully disagree with him regarding this teaching.
The brethren of Jesus are not those who relate to Him by blood. He said so Himself. Only those who obey God's word are his brothers and sisters. In other words, the brothers of Jesus are Christians who are living in obedience to God.
His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd. It was told him by some saying, "Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you." But he answered them, "My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God, and do it." Luke 8:19-21 (WEB).
The Zionist Jews as a whole are staunchly opposed to Jesus. They neither hear God's words, nor keep them as far as the Lordship of Jesus is concerned. As a matter of fact, no other country blasphemes the name of Jesus more than the Zionist Jews. So many of the people who are called Jews today are not Jews in God's book. They say they are Jews but are not. Again, Jesus Himself said it.

It's a stretch to say that Jesus was talking about how people treat Jews in Matthew 25. Isn't Jesus simply talking about our neighbor, in general? It doesn't mention Israel at all in this passage and introducing politics into it doesn't seem right to me.

Be still and know I am God. God will fight your battles he says in the Bible. So people will go to he'll for being still and letting God take care of our problems.
Doing nothing. What does it mean? The parable of the talents in Matthew 25 is not about investing material things to gain a profit. It means, simply put, you read the scripture or are taught the scripture and you learn what the scripture teaches. Upon learning, you are expected to do as God tells you. As you obey, you begin to change your behaviour from wickedness ( man's way) to holiness (God's way). The two good servants wisely listened, obeyed and used what was given to acquire more truth and used what they gained until they lived their lives as God expected them to. Thus, they both gained more knowledge and experience in how to behave in that everlasting life that comes after their short journey on earth. Having known, learned and experienced living for God, they completely changed from wicked to holy, and are then acceptable as citizens of God's kingdom (come into My rest, My faithful servants). The servant who hid (he heard/read what was taught) the coin never took action to do what he was taught. Thus, hearing/learning, he decided to remain living his way and gained no experience in living life for God. He remained ignorant of God. Because of his voluntary ig-norance of what he was taught, he cannot be accepted into God's kingdom. It is seriously important to implement the instructions of God, otherwise, one cannot be saved from God's wrath by ignoring the teachings of salvation. And the bible contains all these teachings. Do you see and understand? You must not just soak in the knowledge of the truth, they are given to you to use.
"....to them gave He the power (the talent) to become sons of God." That power/talent is now in your hand. Use it or lose it.
Good comment. However, "soaking in the truth" is impossible without the Holy Spirit, especially when it comes to interpreting the Bible. There is no truth in this realm, let alone in "church". It must be sought and found and when you know the Truth, the hearts speaks of it automatically. It is not work, it is the reality of knowing the truth that sets us free.

When you " soak " (Psalm 1:2) yourself in the bible (the Word - John 1), and soaking means "hearkening" (opening, reading, hearing, analysing, understanding and using/applying Jesus Christ, the Lord's instructions) Deuteronomy 28, you are really very serious in your study of God's inspired writings - the bible, you cannot escape developing into a God believer. The bible is the mirror of your soul (James 1:21 thru 1:25) and the wisdom beyond our reasons. In the process of "HEARKENING" to these writings (stories, prophesies, instructions), you will begin to discern the presence of the Holy Spirit. You cannot see (Matthew 13:13-17) the wisdom hidden in God unless His Holy Spirit reveal them. And, if you are truly serious and driven to seek God, you cannot escape encountering God's Holy Spirit. He will be with you opening your whole mind and soul so you (your soul - real self) will truly hear and see all these out of our world wisdom (Isaiah 55:8-9). You are on track. Just dig deeper, prayerfully asking the Holy Spirit to envelope you in your quest for God - nothing can be more challenging and exciting. Give God the glory!!!

The Sheeps and Goats parable is not referring to Christians, but Non Christians. Nations of the world, who do not know Jesus nor aware do anything for Him by showing kindness and love to His brothers and sisters.
His brothers and sisters are not particularly the Jews, because Jesus said "Who is my mother, brothers and sisters ? those who do the will of God", they are the true followers of Christ.
Christians are judged by their fruit, and the fruit is to do God's will, every trees that do not produce fruits will be chop down and burn. Those who produce or not producing fruits, 0 fold, 2 folds, 10 folds, etc...they knew exactly what they did to Jesus.
the first blunder in this sermon is by interpreting the Sheeps as Christians, and brothers/sisters of Christ as the Jews.

DP did not realised he is contradicting himself with his other sermons, that Christians should not DO anything for salvation, nothing can be achived by human effort, salvation is purely the Grace of God, by Jesus works on the cross. because He based his believe on Paul's Grace of God gospel..
This is the sample on how picking up Jesus teaching from gospel Kingdom of God will never ever fit into the gospel of Grace of God, your believe have lots of fractures, miss interpretations everywhere, you only can see it if you understood Jesus teaching completely without mixing it up to Paul's gospel.

Jesus meant you need to pull out the tare seed from your believe first in order for the good seed to grow.

This is such an off the wall teaching that leaves me wondering are all these people reading and understanding their Bibles!? First, the passage in Matt. 25 he refers to is not a "parable." Second, there is no "goat nations" and "sheep nations." There is only one way to righteousness, through faith in Christ. So the eternal punsihment is kept for those individuals among the nations, who reject Christ, not for those who do not acknowledge the modern state of Israel. I can continue with more, but I will just mention the superstitious scaremongering Prince employs to push his false interpretations. If you don't support Israel in its claim on the land you will be eternally punished! It is a pretty low punch.
Do you know if that was John Hagee sitting next to Derek Prince at the beginning of the video? I am a Roman Catholic and I am really shocked and disgusted each time I see a person claiming to be "Catholic" and speaking unwisely, without a charity.
NO, we Catholics, DID NOT create the Bible. What does that even mean?! We just chose, selected a canon of books which, when put together, becomes the Catholic Bible.
Yes, Luther excluded some books for some reasons, but since the 99,9999% of Protestants never read Luther's works, they have no idea which books were excluded and for what reason.They know about Luther same as you and I, which is actually nothing. If they knew more about him, they wouldn't be pleased. But it's not their fault. They don't even know that some other amazingly beautiful books (like my fav. Book of Tobit or Book of Wisdom) exist!
It's as much their fault, as it's our fault what happens in Vatican now. Or it's their fault as much , as ours, when our priests preach sometimes nonsensical sermons.
I became better Catholic thanks to protestant preachers. They taught me how to study the Bible, I read the Bible regularly, they created tools to study Bible, including excellent websites , dictionaries etc. I love my Catholic faith and I love my Protestant brothers and sisters. We all need God's grace and mercy. And mind you, that Protestants know almost nothing about us, Catholics and our doctrine. (Actually Catholics don't know too much as well about it). They are oftentimes misled. Intentionally by some people, who want division between us. We must stop point fingers and do what Derek did - remain faithful to our beliefs and proclaim the Gospel of the Lord.
It's not my job to convince them which doctrine is true.God didn't send me to do it. My job is to live in a way, to don't become a disgrace to the Catholic church. And moreover, to our Lord Jesus Christ. And He will take care of other things, including fixing divisions between us.
