Hi! Great video! 👋 I would love to see a video on creating a small CRM with user permissions using a modern stack: Next.js, TypeScript, Drizzle, Lucia Auth, Zod, Zustand, React-Hook-Form, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui. I think your subscribers would love it too! (And me! 😊) You're doing a fantastic job, keep it up!!!
Why do we have two components folder and the component file names are not capitalize (ideally we capitalize components naming). May i know what principal we are following here. Thanks
Didn't like that some of the styling (like padding or margins) is in the components and some is in CSS. Preferring tailwind's unified tailwind approach.
overall bad experience, not compatible with react 19, has warning for ref, is not compatible between its own components, I recently tried to do alert and tooltip over button and it doesn't work without making spaghetti code, missing form components e.g date picker etc
React 19 isnt even officially release yet and radix already has a fixed for it in it release condidate version for when react 19 is officially release.
You can use it with tailwind, look at their repo discussions and search for "tailwind". @frontendfyi also has a nice video on using css layers to use tailwind and radix themes.
Why do I think this guy is one of the coolest TH-camr I've seen in a while.
Thanks. Now I think I'll make my own as well this month, I've really been meaning to try Radix Themes and AuthKit, and even the Next.js 15 RC.
If this was built on top of tailwind, It would've been my default. Loved it how it looks
Same 😢

I’m so used to tailwind that do not see point of this lib. It reminds me MUI…
shadcn/ui is just more flexible and configurable even if takes more time
I thought the same exact thing as soon as I saw the
Radix primitives better for full control.
Thanks
Hey Jack, I'd love to see more vids about authentication, shared auth + micro frontends, but not using Next JS, maybe some vite related stuff
How is the Next.js course going? It's on my much buy list if it doesn't break the bank 😅
Videos are finished, they are in the production pipeline right now.
@@jherr wow..waiting

i have this same question too
And on top of that some components created in another folders with component-name case 😅
The problem with Radix Themes is that the CSS is completely over bloated.
No tailwindcSS?? I'm out
What is the terminal you use ? How you themed zsh like that ?
i've tried to use AuthKit with role based auth but couldn't figure out a easy way to do it... maybe a good follow up video?
Can you make a video deep diving into Astro vs. Nextjs? Considering that Astro can scale to dynamite websites too.
yeah
How this auth can work with my nestjs server?
They have a node library you can use for low level control of auth.

Jack, your vscode is broken. The file explorer is in the wrong place :D
sounds like uncle bob !!!
Didbyou say nextUI ?
Tailwind CSS in manual mode 😅
Radix is the next biggest thing. Buy the dip.
New Components For NextJS ?? !!
similar to chakra ui

It has the same issue with React 19 as any library. Their peer dep for React is on 18, but all released libraries are on 18, since 19 is still in RC.
you lost me when you said..... 'do not install tailwindcss.....'

Just what I was about to comment
Its doesnt work with react 19 :/
Radix release candidate version has React 19 support (React 19 is still RC)
@@stephenhaney5740 Thanks.
Works just fine with React 19. Issue is the peer dependency, but that's going to be an issue with any library.
@@jherr oh hell yeah thanks the heads up
Try Mantine and there is no coming back
Too fast to follow
no thanks
is raadix themes an alternative to shadcnui?
Mmm shadcn is based in radixui primitives, radixui themes is their "shadcn" in his way
@@imrdeveloper so radix themes and shadcnui are both based on radix and styled?
@@Victor-dd7el yes, based on primitives and styled
Shadcn includes additional elements like carousel, data tables, notifications
thanks for your clarification
