  • A Raleigh Nitro mountain bike I got on eBay for £30, it had horizontal dropouts so it was the perfect bike to convert to a single speed.
I wanted a go anywhere, simple to maintain, nothing to go wrong mountain bike that was built for the city and single track routes out of the city.
It needed a front rack and I gave it a go myself and so far it hasn't snapped, so for my first time welding, Im pretty happy, it was also half the cost of a new one.
Thank you to my friend and photographer Luke Hallet for riding and going out and shooting some photos of the docks.

Got at the end, with the riding/music scene. The passion of bicycle mechanics, 26 inch wheels and real cycling.

I still have my Nitro which I bought new in 1995.
Got fed up with the crappy gears so I stripped them off and had a back wheel built with an SRAM 2 speed automatic hub and put that on it.
It's a nice comfortable no hassle urban bike now which doesn't need to go at Tour de France speeds.

Bike looks great. Whole video is very inspiring. I've changed bike for winter few days ago, it's veeeery old ATB Mongoose(now with winter studded tires, quite a change from my commuter fixed semislicks) and I'm so lazy to go into the garage in these freezing temperatures to make this bike a bit more "aggresive" with whole different cockpit and changing of cables... So man, I feel now like I can do this no matter of weather! ;P

First one of yours I've watched - impressed at the build and customisation - I'm SSing a basic trek 820 and was searching for inspiration - don't have your fab' skills though.
The end riding cinematic's set is classy and really shows off the end result.
    Subbed. 👍

You have to hand it to you that build is pretty ballistic, geometry setup it just the usability looks so cool, top it off of the front rack for functionality it's definitely sick

love seeing these vids, the stop motion interludes really set them apart. one constructive criticism: the sudden drop in audio during the clips is distracting, but i think you could easily have a generic background noise audio loop in your project timeline that you unmute for any stop motion sections, so there’s a little continuity. just had the idea, i hope you don’t feel insulted!

I feel like the heavier the bike, the more it deserves to lightened up by going SS. 10x more enjoyable now shedding all that weight.

The chain clip is facing the wrong way round the rounded side should go in the direction of travel so it doesn't get snagged and pop off.
