Also, since I have a weird intuition that someone will comment this: I didn't include screenshots of people making these "takes" on social media because even though I don't agree with them and it got on my nerves, I'm not here to cause witch hunts or target weird hate towards people. I'm sure if you browse through socials in the last week you'll have seen enough of these takes to know what this video is referring to without me having to point and choose.
While I do agree with you and haven’t seen these posts myself I do think some level of skepticism in necessary especially when it’s out of love for the game and wanting to see it succeed so I can definitely see the benefit of being on high alert since the game is getting a decent level of traction after all these years

It's insane how the V era still continues to damage the game two years after it ended. I wish people would learn to let go and realise the D series design team is completely different from V.
It's crazy how much historical revisionism people are doing with Luard. Even the one time it was *actually* became a broken top deck on release in V era, people are conveniently forgetting that amount of constant powercreeping that led to that point and even after that deck's release. The way the entire format was being ran was problematic, not just that 1 deck. Luard just *happened* to be the breaking point with the emergency banlist and the fallout of angering sellers in Japan.
Maybe this is a hot take I dunno? But the fact that they announced that they have a full NINE anime seasons all together planned for Overdress during one of the Weekly news bits back in January with a roadmap taking us into 2025 and seeing as the Card game releases alonside the anime. I highly doubt their re-booting mid-story for whatever they already have pre-written/planned for the next set of seasons. After we reach early 2025 based on the state of the game by then, then I'll start wondering about a re-boot. Also the anime is so Fire rn they better not cut off halfway and re-boot xD
To me, there was no other reason for Bushi to announce the map to 2025 other than to say "Hey, we're keeping D alive, and we're confident enough to show you our hand". I think we're in pretty good hands, and can't wait to see the remaining 2 years will hold
Pretty sure the people upset at Luard’s return would’ve been just as upset with any of the V-Breaking decks, I don’t think the reaction is unwarranted if their hesitation comes from their experience with V On the other hand with G anyone who says the deck was busted is capping
All I have to say is THANK YOU!! With a voice in the community like yours proving straight facts about Luard from G to V, I appreciate you addressing the outlandish claims people in the community are making. As someone who mained Luard in G, V and soon to be D. The design philosophy of standard is quite literally some of the best card game design and longevity I’ve ever seen. V was problematic because of failed card design and power creep. The pandemic and everything that happened during that period spelled the end of the era. Luard and Ange weren’t super well designed due to their current large pool of other cards and how well they were able to be abused. Even that isn’t the core reason. We all see how V is trickling away... But anyway, appreciate you DF thank you again for addressing the BS. ❤ Cant wait for your thoughts on Keter G1s! I already have x4 of everything I see potential in (in keter) curious to see if they match my ideas :P
As someone who played bigbelly during g era , the amount of support received by bushi's favoured clans really left a sour taste in my mouth. Luckily, they have improved a lot since then.
Going back the G era meta was a throwback. I was lucky to pick up Luard back on release and run with it throughout all of G and Premium. Favorite iterations of the deck were GBT-12 Grosne/Cursed Eye Raven/Dragstrider Loop to make massive columns and Premium Collection 2019 with Morfessa Stride. I remember popping off when he came into V and share even more excitement for his return in D.
This has definitely been an interesting history lesson for me. I started vanguard with zero around the time v gurguit was pretty strong(Before Perceval restriction),so I never knew why people thought luard would bring doom to D format. The only thing I knew then and even now before this video was his appearance in the anime and the fact that he was somewhat strong in V(not to the extent in the video tho lol). I was also pretty surprised to see that token ranbu existed in G, like man they go that far back! I’ve only seen it in D so😅.
Just not a fan of the +5k for each face up G zones, personally. Would cope if it was +5k every two face-ups or just +10k flat for stride. Glad for the people who liked the deck, at least.
Man that brought back memories. I honestly really enjoyed V Era at the beginning. I felt the game was starting to overloading with the strides and I missed the simpler times when I started playing back when limit break was out (my first Trial Deck was the liberator one with gancelot) and V felt so refreshing. But it quickly became a cluster duck. I couldnt enjoy Overdress at the start but it really grew to me now.
I feel like Luard can be handled just fine - the interesting thing will be how they handle Luard being able to fill its deck with more G1's than usual, but I mean that as in it'll genuinely be interesting, not a sarcastic interesting. I also see them going with Luard's earlier strides, which were good, but nothing insane either.
Given the track record with encounter cards and how Crests break the G encounters singlehandedly, don't get your hopes up that these will be designed any better
@@elin111 As someone who's faced those crests that "break" G encounters with multiple mid-tier decks and won, I'm not super concerned. They're strong but still VERY beatable.
@@elin111yeaaaa most of the crest honestly dont really "break" the deck, Jet was good but still had counterplay, and is even slowing down compared to other decks, Messiah isnt "that" amazing even with crest (and not like it was jet levels of crazy or anything when it was released)
Thanks for making this. Luard was not the problem in V his design was s symptom of it. People have very selective memories of decks that were unfair exactly ONCE in history and claiming its going to kill D. They did the same fear mongering with Messiah pretending like lock wasnt actualy a nonissue for most of the game's lifespan.
I personally dislike the design of Stride Decksets - particularly of the Stride Crests. The power increase is too much for so little cost, especially when combined with multi attacks (Messiah) or Guard Restrict (Chronojet). EDIT: >D Series designers have been very careful in balancing their cards >Gandeeva >Ebisu >Willista LOL
While the crest power scaling is good, I dont think it makes them broken. Just like you listed Ghands Scaling is imo worst since t3 it can end up with 10k to front row and crit 2, and depending if you go 2nd multi attack (compared to messish whose piece reliant, and you can still G2 game them preventing them from striding making the deck pretty vanilla). Jet still quite the contendor though hes definitely being challenged by a few decks (I also wouldnt really say ghan or willista are unbalance they both have there ways to counter them, Ebi is probably the worst to deal with if anything but I play EN format so I dont deal with that lol)
@@JayTeeBeez I'm 100% sure Gandeeva power scaling would have never existed if Crest didnt. Infinite power scaling late in the game is jusd flat out bad design. Decks are supposed to run out of resources - not have infinite resources because Bushi decided they should heck, early testing on Vanilla base Luard (no effects on Strides, and just Stride power) has shown that the deck just stalls indefinitely and wins off of its rears punching for +40k because of Stride Crest
@@Deingel12 I mean maybe? But again its not like Messiah was nearly as good as Jet on release, and Jet himself has slowly went down himself. I also dno how Luard would even stall that long to get those numbers via Crest, w/ the numbers Ghandeva and Willista would produce w/ just vanilla strides as a test? Especially honestly considering Ghandeva and other control decks since if luard has no board he himself is vanilla on stride (unless you got a maple but thats your only out to being board wiped). Though I am interested if you have any videos or etc of the early testing.
@@JayTeeBeez considering we don’t even know the abilities of the cards in the deck sets yet this is all just conjecture, it’s just the drama queens panicking
I honestly feel Bushiroad may take a step back kn card design due to how much issues it caused Bushiroad with stores in Japan I do understand people are worried due to hiw strong Gandeva is but I trust the D series team to approach Luard in a manner that wont upset the balance of the game I also recall when Luard came out he was about tier 2 and not that good. He was expensive due to Shadow Paladin Tax I also knlw this becuase I played Time Leap and it was such a good and fun deck
@@elin111I mean its not like Gan dosent have counter play...and were acting the G encounters are these meta breaking decks (when Jet himself was very good but has now been losing steam and had counterplay, and messiah was kinda meh in comparison saw play but as a deck its not jet by any means)
@@elin111Yeah, because when I look at Set 11 tournament results, I see 50% Messiah and 50% Chronojet. These decks are so busted Gandeeva, Willista, and Ebisu could never stand a chance 🙂
Shoutouts to 0 Damage Luard making Zero an even more miserable experience to play during its time alive. And giving us the wall of text that is Harmonics Messiah.
Honestly contrary to the hive mind of saying Luard broke the game, it was only during V, Luard was just great in G but it never felt crazy so much so that I despised fighting it as long as I was also using a competent deck. I am however really scared for Shiranui coming back because I really struggle against dominate and there's not much miraging in D
As someone who has played Luard since the first release I would have to agree. Even with Dragfall, Cursed Eye Raven and Morfessa Stride later one there were plenty of decks that I would against that put up an even fight. It was only when he had his first V release that the deck felt a bit unfair to play. I can't say much for the later half of V because I didn't manage to pick up the support. I am really happy he is back I just hope people don't ruin it over one trangression in the V format.
I dont keep up with vanguard at all other than your videos. You make the exact content I want for every card game. I might pick up vanguard again because of you. Thank you for all the great work you do and for managing to engage me in a game that I dont even play lol
Bro D series Gurguit, I'd be screaming of joy. Bro as busted as he was (and still is) when he released nothing made me happier then seeing Golds be objectively tier 1 for the first time in like 5 years
I'm really excited for the luard stride deckset since I missed out on the Luard trial deck way back 2017 and was not able to experience the fun of playing luard. sad to see some people being hostile towards a deckset that hasn't even come out yet. hopefully it doesn't kill the excitement for some people.
Back in the day I really like Luard because the deck is a toolbox like deck consist of draw eff, cc sc eff etc. The fact I hated luard becuz of its price for a deck😢... Even though V series Luard is really busted, I still like it no matter what. So I am really looking forward to both Luard and Shiranui comeback in D series to see what great match up both can create. ❤
As a Luard fan, I pray you get Daiyusha/Daikaiser in D soon. Cause good god this was satisfying to watch. Don’t let the doomers keep you down, V broke a lot of people and they’re ignoring some big players such as Gavrail and Alter-Ego Messiah (who is in D and didn’t break the format over his non-existent knees).
I'm so excited for Luard to return and reality is what caused the reboot with G was Gyze and his Zeroth Dragons can't exactly have a game where you have to buy a $150-$300 dollar card to compete and also the main boss unit being that times 6 plus it's instawin ability was so unfun.
Honestly stride decksets/encounter ridelines scare me lol it kinda looks like their just trying to cram Premium/V-Premium into standard to silently kill the older formats I know that’s not super likely but that my big fear that leads to another format restart 😅
Imagine.... Lyrical gets the Melody girls; Sonata, Canon, Caro, Serena, Fina, Cier as the Lyrical Encounter deck. Liselotte included. I suspect either Pacifica, Coral, or Riviere otherwise to be the encounter decks in Lyrical, Lauris or Tirua themed Stride deck (I wanna see Lauris tho because I wanna shill for the Saya Stride Deck Set) >10 years of D series I'm near 100% sure they stated this as well, on record, on camera, during the OverDress presentation back in 2021
You can really feel the full tilt DF is feeling about those comments, which I don't necessarily blame him for it especially since d series doomers have been around since the announcement of the overtrigger.
The G Revisionism is hilarious. V though, man V Luard did wreck V format and the restulting banlist destroyed shops in JP and I don't agree that Gurguit/DOTX/etc contributed to the reboot more than Luard though. However is it worrying that we are getting the Stride Decksets. Power creep has been getting worrying in D. Particularly how they are buffing Persona RIde. Crest is basically Persona on Crack. Gandeeva is basically Persona on Crack. Masques get Persona early. Theguria now gets 2 buffed Personas. Imaginary Gifts became a problem becuase on the superiour ride and effects that gained extras. I don't wanna see Persona go down the same route.
I mean granted at least most of these your able to play around (or not that consistent) compared to the Gifts where you really couldn't stop the farming (that and Thegrea is double persona is shockingly not worth it). Persona ride is a very strong ability though the one thing I've learned since Ezel and Thegs inception on introducing the potential persona while your opponents grade 2. Its not that strong especially if you have nothing special to do with it (Like I.E ezel can get persona while your opponents grade 2, but he's still just a 3 attack deck)
When 1st Luard was released in G, the only threat he pose is having free strides. The only reason Luard was relevant in G was because of Dragfall, Ultima & Gyze. Ogma was so hard to fulfill, people went back to Aurageyser after like 2 events
Glad you were trying to go for a informative video to show that luard didndt destroy the whole vanguard scene since it came out. Was cool to see what decks topped back in the day including wich old cards they were using. Personally cause of Zero im kinda eyeing the luard in a postive way, so im looking forward to see how they gona handle the cards. Shame its get muddled by the whole poking fun and speel off "oh look luard is not there, thats so strange???" Really missed a chance to have a proper informative video to show luard wasnt a bad destructive force outside of V. Specially being the voice of the community i think you shouldnt have gone to that level even if the twitter situation last week hit you strongly. All in all to close of this topic like you said, hope in the future if a spicy topic comes up again both sides can have a more civil and proper discussion and just be overall a better community.
Yeah this criticism is valid, but honestly I plan to do proper constructive historic looks at past metas in their own videos, here I’m just airing my frustrations with people that take their personal agendas too far
I appreciate you making this for the damage control on the masses who are panicking for Luard, also Catch me crying bloody murder if gurguit+percival are a duo in D, but Ill still be playing them anyways golds are my bois
"You might not remember this deck, but Bladewings were pretty good" Meanwhile that used to be my main deck as soon as Tibold was released. Back when people thought it was still a copium deck and haven't won anything yet. Good times, I kinda wish Sullivan would come back. And grade 1 rush was more of an issue back then, not just seven seas (godbless slash shade), but also AD-Rex and Amon g1 rush. Both had amazing early games and pretty much shut down like 90% of GB-reliant decks. it was definitely one of the metas to ever exist
Honestly even with the release of DZ5 in Japan recently, sure there have been a few stand out decks but I feel like the overall balance for the current standard format is actually quite good :)
Why I'm glad I don't do social media other than Discord and most of my friends don't play or have only started in the recent few years back when Dear Days was announced for release
Basically, some of us are sick of strides. We were expecting original new ridelines, encounters were fine at first but once chronojet came and messiah, most of us left the game because it felt like there is no creativity left for vanguard. I feel like this is only a cash grab move from bushiroad for other players to join in again but for us old players who had so much high hopes for standard, these stride set decks was a let down.
I'm a little concerned because Keter generics are very good. From the potential PG-recycle play to cards like Cadwalla and Painkiller to turn board advantage into hand advantage, to Maple who can not only guarantee the stride bonus, but if you have 2 of the grade 2 Maple in drop you can sequence the skills in such a way that you first revive 1 Maple, retire it for stride skill, then revive the 2nd one (can't be the same because it misses timing), resulting in a +3 every stride (ignoring the fact that you make stride free) I'm genuinely curious to see how they will balance it out.
Dun think the first Luard was ever a problem. It was the second one that did things as far as I remember. And I quit V far before Luard happened, I dun remember all the powercreep but V had more problems than Luard too XD
It’s so dumb that people just think it’s Luard’s nature to be broken. “They can’t possibly design a Luard that’s mid.” I don’t think Luard diff-rode whoever’s in charge of card balancing. Also. “Ebisu? Gandeeva? Probably just fodder for Messiah stride deck set 😢”
Luard was literally just mid when he first released, when it was just the TD and Dragdriver stride plus that first wave of support but people like to conveniently forget that XD
I love the Luard jokes. i make similar ones pretty often, because that's the kind of sense of humor that I have. In any case, I'm glad Luard is mostly innocent, except for that brief moment in Vanguard history when he wasn't.
I’ve gotten back into the game into the D series after skipping and being mad at the V series, personally would quit the game forever if they rebooted one more time, thank you for making it clear that D series is here to stay
Ty for the lesson DF! Always glad to see more info from the G-era! Thank you for this! I'm still a Luard Fan, I mean he edgy what's not to love about that? Haha!
Another sign that Luard won’t be broken in D is because the Stride decks use the original G version of the card, so it won’t be that strong. And any effects and combos that might make it strong will be fixed through the Crest, like how they nerfed Lock for Messiah
As a D Zoomer I'm personally a lot more interested in Shiranui 😅 Dominate seems like such a cool mechanic. Will you also be talking about what cards to get for it?
"Luard is gonna end the game" is definitely an overreaction, it's probably more of they sick of seeing luard all over again seeing how dominating he is in V, being THE shadow paladin deck to play in prem and v for YEARS and seeing how strong the stride deck is in D. I too am sick of seeing this hot blonde wizard, but i will definitely hold my judgement until hes released!
Broke: Guys, I am making this video because people believe Luard is bad for the format because people online are lying about Luard. Woke: Guys, remember how fun and varied G is? Not like Premium, but just G? Yeah, ya miss G now huh? You thought I was gonna laugh at twitter, but no. I AM HERE TO MAKE YOU ALL MISS G FORMAT! MY TRUE EVIL PLAN ALL ALONG!
I would say, if anything, Oboro would be the format ender in the context of D if they don't make sure to balance the product properly. The thing I take issue with is encounters in general. First of all, most of them are designed so lazily. Say what you will about V but it at least took some of these in different directions instead of just paraphrasing the original skill at best. Secondly, most of them are mid until promos are made for them (which is another issue) and take of way from established D decks getting support. The fact that several early D ride lines took almost 2 years to get revitalized forms is annoying.
I prefer how D is handling encounters because it's essentially a modernization of how those old decks used to be. I'm looking forward to whenever Ahsha returns because I never got to play Bloom in 2016, and I want to have a go at it. I thought the same thing when they announced Ahsha was getting a V trial deck. Only for it to get completely bastardised with a simpler, duller mechanic. I think there are alot of cool gimmicks V introduced like markers, tokens, and Valkerion. But to me, gimmicks is all the V era had to offer. There just wasn't enough engagement in deckbuilding or gameplay in V compared to modern D. Tackling your second point, the promo issue was a thing in late V as well. And while some G3s still only have one form, it's not like Imperial daughter ever got a second form. At the very least, those decks still get support, so even with no new form, if you got Hexaorb Sorceress day 1, that's two years+ of value you got.
I doubted Luard's brokeness purely on the fact that Kazuma couldn't even finish his first fight vs Chrono in G Next. Mans quit before the battle phase lol.
Comparing to all the doomsayers, I absolutely adore the idea of Luard deck-set. G-luard isn't V-luard, at all. Compare to other gimmicks in the same time period, it is fair and balanced. The deck does not autopilot itself, the player needs to calculate every move wisely and carefully to fully take advantage of its G1 tool-box. The inherent disadvantage of D-luard is that he only has access to limited G-zone (likely D version of Dragdriver and Dragstrider) , but due to D has ride-deck mechanic, you can afford to run less copies of G2 and G3 and still not missing stride (Luard's ritual 3 is such a life-saver) and on the same time, cram as many grade 1 as you like So my fellow Luard enjoyer, prepare yourself 4 copies of Painkiller Angel (I do not need to elaborate, right? XD) and 2-3 copies of Magic of Purification Ffpuri (generic G1 soul charger with no cost, you NEED souls in this deck) , and we shall wait to relive the happy nostalgia of playing Luard, now excuse me and let me rewatch a few G NEXT episodes to jump start my luard appreciation.
Also people also need to stop the rewriting the history when comes to dominate, there are proven ways to play around the gimmick in G-era before Zanki and Rinne becomes out of control (which you will NOT encounter in D-format) . However there are cards in D that work WONDERS in D-dominate, first being "stealth fiend Forktail" (fantastic searcher, remember most normal units in this deck will have "stealth" keyword), second being stealth dragon Togachirashi (striding means discard, and this card fuels the soul in the process, and you NEED souls in this deck too) and thrid...this might sound crazy, but access to stride means D-dominate now had access to Esperaidea, a G4 that does not require overdress to re-stand.
I find myself bothered by the doomers as well. I cant wait to pull out my old Draghearts and play Luard again. He used to be such a fun deck to play back then. Ive seen the comments on how D is having V series level power creep but its honestly not even close. If this were V then Chronojet would have been power crept into irrelevance 3 months after release. Yet, Youthberk is still a good deck. I think as with any TCG, the community will always want something to bitch about.
honestly i'm more interested in Shiranui's Return rather than Luard lol. i never got to use it at the time but Dominate seemed like such a fun and unique mechanic
I mean, it obviously broke the game during V series hahaha but for me it has more to do with the fact that i associate his deck with the last arc of each series. Peak Luard in G was one of the lasts sets of G, Luard breaking V was on final sets as well, now Luard a third time? u can't blame me for being suspicious hahaha
I'm not worried luard is gonna bring a reboot I'm worried it's gonna be another tier 1 encounter deck out the gate. Imma be honest I have hated the idea of encounter decks since they first came out in set 2...SET F*ING 2 PEOPLE. If they waited longer before introducing this stuff I be fine but they did the "nostalgia" pandering so early it annoys me. Like v series is not that old its only been what 2 years now and we have 8 encounter builds with 4 more otw with in the span of 12-13 sets and some of these decks have top. And decks that need the support to be meta get barely anything. Case in point Eugene been around since what set 1-2 and has basically been replace with gandeeva if they put more effort into it and not these nostalgia decks maybe decks like Eva, youthberk, and other deck that consistently tops wouldn't be the only decks people play. So again am I mad at luard coming back? Yes, but not cause of a potential reboot but because I just hate the idea of encounter decks bring back units and builds that haven't been gone for 2 whole years
I can see whatcha mean though Encounters have also only gotten support typically in there specific sets so its not like there stealing slots typically for the main set ridelines, and theyve proven they can support older ridelines and make them good, take Willista and Welstra heck even Hexaorb for example decks that were clowned on for being bad but then got really good now, and not all the encounters have luckily been this top tier meta deck (if anything at first Do and PBD when first done were kinda eh till set 4). So im sure decks like Eugene etc can get better, just depends on there furure support just like those units have proven (also granted Eugene did get support and indirect support in the latest sets its just For example Ghandeva just outshines as a better unit which is hard to contend with, its kinda similar to Barro where he does get some indirect support etc but with Kheios and Draj Masque who are similar why him over them in some cases.)
I think luard only broke the game at V era at its first release. Later after getting banned and restricted on some units, that deck back to normal, just a typical top meta deck. I think what make that lead the end of the V era is the core system of the game itself.
Also, since I have a weird intuition that someone will comment this:

They did the same fear mongering with Messiah pretending like lock wasnt actualy a nonissue for most of the game's lifespan.
thanks for the trip down memory lane i remember these G metas well🧡
Really glad this video was made to calm down the kneejerk reactions.
the fenrir loop and 7 seas rush brought the PTSD back.
I personally dislike the design of Stride Decksets - particularly of the Stride Crests.
The power increase is too much for so little cost, especially when combined with multi attacks (Messiah) or Guard Restrict (Chronojet).
EDIT:
>D Series designers have been very careful in balancing their cards
>Gandeeva
>Ebisu
>Willista
LOL
Decks are supposed to run out of resources - not have infinite resources because Bushi decided they should
heck, early testing on Vanilla base Luard (no effects on Strides, and just Stride power) has shown that the deck just stalls indefinitely and wins off of its rears punching for +40k because of Stride Crest
I honestly feel Bushiroad may take a step back kn card design due to how much issues it caused Bushiroad with stores in Japan
I do understand people are worried due to hiw strong Gandeva is but I trust the D series team to approach Luard in a manner that wont upset the balance of the game
I also recall when Luard came out he was about tier 2 and not that good. He was expensive due to Shadow Paladin Tax
I also knlw this becuase I played Time Leap and it was such a good and fun deck
It's a G encounter. Don't get your hopes up that any lesson will be learned for designing those
True
My man making me feel old with all those G Decks
I dont keep up with vanguard at all other than your videos. You make the exact content I want for every card game. I might pick up vanguard again because of you. Thank you for all the great work you do and for managing to engage me in a game that I dont even play lol
🥲🥲🥲 Thank you for the kind words

DifferentFight: "THAT'S NOT LUARD"
Bro D series Gurguit, I'd be screaming of joy. Bro as busted as he was (and still is) when he released nothing made me happier then seeing Golds be objectively tier 1 for the first time in like 5 years
For me. What caused G to get booted for V. It was how strong striding became to be. And what finally broke it was Bermuda and Gyze for me personally.
The only meta bit found funny was that tachikaze was always in top 3 in france for like all of g since it got introduced
Seeing all of those decks definitely bringgs bck memories although i no longer play vg competitively
Gonna wait to see what special thing crest offer to him first before judging him (including Shiranui).
I suspect either Pacifica, Coral, or Riviere otherwise to be the encounter decks in Lyrical, Lauris or Tirua themed Stride deck (I wanna see Lauris tho because I wanna shill for the Saya Stride Deck Set)
>10 years of D series
I'm near 100% sure they stated this as well, on record, on camera, during the OverDress presentation back in 2021
drinking game: every time you say "luard" we drink... OH GOD THOSE DECK RECIPES, I LOVE G ERA SO MUCH
You can really feel the full tilt DF is feeling about those comments, which I don't necessarily blame him for it especially since d series doomers have been around since the announcement of the overtrigger.
I'm just tired man
The G Revisionism is hilarious.
P.S. Honestly Shiranui with Dominate scares me wayyyyyy more than Luard.
How Dominate interacts with their crest will potentially break it.
Wait, What happened to the Zero videos you were planning to release? Just curious
Recorded one last night, they're coming
@@DifferentFight Cool! Thanks for replying
happy to see you back from the break from social media DF :3 im looking forward to more content :3
"You might not remember this deck, but Bladewings were pretty good"
Meanwhile that used to be my main deck as soon as Tibold was released.
I like your Gavrail shirt.
Basically, some of us are sick of strides. We were expecting original new ridelines, encounters were fine at first but once chronojet came and messiah, most of us left the game because it felt like there is no creativity left for vanguard.
I feel like this is only a cash grab move from bushiroad for other players to join in again but for us old players who had so much high hopes for standard, these stride set decks was a let down.
same
I'm a little concerned because Keter generics are very good.
From the potential PG-recycle play to cards like Cadwalla and Painkiller to turn board advantage into hand advantage, to Maple who can not only guarantee the stride bonus, but if you have 2 of the grade 2 Maple in drop you can sequence the skills in such a way that you first revive 1 Maple, retire it for stride skill, then revive the 2nd one (can't be the same because it misses timing), resulting in a +3 every stride (ignoring the fact that you make stride free)
I'm genuinely curious to see how they will balance it out.
I pre order the premium one for luard, and I'm surprised there is a sleeve in the package, there was no sleeve before right?
Yeah true! Seems they took out the coins
@@DifferentFight is there a leak on the g zone for both stride deck already?
Nope, just people expecting the earlier strides like Dragdriver and Ogma
@@DifferentFight i was actually expecting the same thing like ogma and dd or carnivore and dd
Dun think the first Luard was ever a problem. It was the second one that did things as far as I remember. And I quit V far before Luard happened, I dun remember all the powercreep but V had more problems than Luard too XD
Also feels like this also shows that gear chronicle is more likely to be the problem child than luard
i’m hyped for the luard stride deck set
In any case, I'm glad Luard is mostly innocent, except for that brief moment in Vanguard history when he wasn't.
my favourite video so far lmao had me in tears
how can they say luard is the most broken deck when luard is coming to standard but locking isnt/never will
Great video, dear lord, Luard came out when I finished high school feels kind of a long time ago, given that I'm in my masters now lol 😅
I was really hoping it would've been Altmile and Asha to finish Try3. And then maybe Dragonic Blademaster for Dragon Empire
love having this video to have the talks tbh xD
I’ve gotten back into the game into the D series after skipping and being mad at the V series, personally would quit the game forever if they rebooted one more time, thank you for making it clear that D series is here to stay
14:05
Careful, you’ll summon Jiyuna
Honestly, I'm more confused at the second Shadow Paladin Encounter Rideline.
rare footage of DF actually angry
I love how smug you were in this video. XD
Twitter bros were making shit up? No way, how could it be
Luard in G: Fair deck(?)
Luard in V: OP
Man I don’t want d format for another 10 years I want d format for however long vanguard is around I want this to be the format that stays 😅😂
The only memory I have on luard is my friends clowning on it before drag abyss came out.
As a D Zoomer I'm personally a lot more interested in Shiranui 😅 Dominate seems like such a cool mechanic. Will you also be talking about what cards to get for it?
Yup, but it’s a bit harder since it’s such a specific mechanic
This is some top tier satire I absolutely love it!
The sheer sarcasm in this is simply magnificent 😂
Bro I'm just happy I get to play with some of the cards that made Zero fun for me
I know everyone is talking about Luard but people must have forgot how disgusting dominant nubatama was at the end of g.
It's less of Luard and more of bad card design and extreme powercreep in general causing reboots.
I doubted Luard's brokeness purely on the fact that Kazuma couldn't even finish his first fight vs Chrono in G Next. Mans quit before the battle phase lol.
Take a shot every time differentfight says luard
Comparing to all the doomsayers, I absolutely adore the idea of Luard deck-set. G-luard isn't V-luard, at all. Compare to other gimmicks in the same time period, it is fair and balanced. The deck does not autopilot itself, the player needs to calculate every move wisely and carefully to fully take advantage of its G1 tool-box.
The inherent disadvantage of D-luard is that he only has access to limited G-zone (likely D version of Dragdriver and Dragstrider) , but due to D has ride-deck mechanic, you can afford to run less copies of G2 and G3 and still not missing stride (Luard's ritual 3 is such a life-saver) and on the same time, cram as many grade 1 as you like
So my fellow Luard enjoyer, prepare yourself 4 copies of Painkiller Angel (I do not need to elaborate, right?
I always thought that the Luard reboot was more of a meme joke, not an actual take
Man, i still have ptsd from pbd luard in v era, being able to multi attack with 2 crit from evvery rg and huge power too, from turn 3?
Still awaiting for my dino rideline or better yet, the Gaia Stride deckset~
I want Stride Deck to be fun to enjoy from both players. A bit challenging and rewarding.
How will this affect Luard's legacy? 🧐🧐
Thanks for this video. My boi Luard doesn’t deserve all this hate he’s getting. All this doom talk about a reboot is ridiculous.
hopefully not a reboot until years later like a different take being kai's life or others point of view hopefully if reboots happen
Everyone talking about Luard killing D and I'm over here wondering how oppressive Dominate will be to play against.
All im saying is, if Vanguard gets a 3RD REBOOT... Buddyfight aint gonna be lonely for much longer.
Very nice work on this video💪
I think luard only broke the game at V era at its first release. Later after getting banned and restricted on some units, that deck back to normal, just a typical top meta deck. I think what make that lead the end of the V era is the core system of the game itself.
