“ which was really just an *hour* of them rattling off their live action sequels and remakes for an *hour* ” girl 💀 OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T MENTION ONCE UPON A STUDIO! so much more memorable than wish. i loved seeing an ACTUAL return to 2-d animation and being able to recognize all the iconic voice actors who came back. my boy quasimodo sang and everything, i'm so happy for him!!
It makes me so frustrated how often movies have their potential wasted. I feel like it’s happening more and more in our media, but especially in the big companies. Whenever something is announced and the idea intrigues me, I try to hold onto the hope that it’ll be amazing. But that’s getting so much harder with how so many movies are just being butchered for the sake of making more money.
that's a good point, especially when some get outright cancelled like whatever david zaslav and warner bros. have been doing the past year. it's just not right :(
Excellent review. I’ve been pretty much on the same page with Wish for you(I know my review I gave it a 7, but it might be closer to a 6 upon reflection). It’s fine but for a movie celebrating Disney’s 100th, it needed to be more than that. Disney Animation has been such a big part of my life too enough to where I did a full watchthrough of WDAS’ filmography prior to this. Yet this year on their I agree that other animated projects had shined much bigger than any Disney project this year(though I actually liked Elemental). I think my big animated thing that got me going more so than Wish was Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, so at least I have that. But then again considering my love for Scott Pilgrim, I think my love for that anime would still overshadow Wish even if it ended up being as good as Beauty and the Beast.. lol
@@livmendel Sounds good. Your videos are criminally underrated. Hope you become more noticed in the future 💖 I also have another movie review suggestion. Can you please review A Cat In Paris? I don’t know if you’ve heard of it before, but I grew up watching it as a little kid, and it’s an absolutely beautiful movie 🥰.
@@daj_music123 awww thank you so much!! 🥰🥰 i have seen it before, though it’s been a couple years. it was nominated for a best animated feature oscar, and one of my *big* video plans is ranking every best animated feature nominee (there’s almost 100 of them now!) so i’d love to talk about it then someday!
that WAS the last disney princess movie, if you consider it one. though honestly i don’t think even disney knows which characters qualify as princesses anymore

"And I fear Elio is next." I felt that.
The best way I’ve heard someone describe this animation, it looks like a phone app turned up the sharp filter on Tangled
“Can We Pretend That Airplanes In The Night Sky Are Like Shooting Stars?”
Cause we could really use a wish right now

I can't believe I still haven't watched Klaus yet
ahhhh you need to!!
This Christmas for sure I promise
Oooh, I get it, because “Wish” is the name of the movie, but it’s also a word for wanting something, so it’s a double meaning. Bravo, Vince.
i so smart

Are you still doing movie commentaries?
no, i got kind of bored of making them :/ i’ve been having fun going down the video essay/review/ranking route and i have a ton of ideas for them :)

@@livmendel Can’t wait 💖
There's a fairy tale called "The Pink" that could've fit this film PERFECTLY.
I thought it was pretty good but tbh the last disney princess movie I saw was Raya 💀
