    Excellent recipe. The wonderful thing about rabbit, is it practically demands to be eaten with hands, and not cutlery. Succulent, elegant dishes, and you just pick up a chunk of rabbit, and eat it.

    With out sounding like I’m telling u what to do I use to just bing tomatoes in like that too but I seen someone say add a tea spoon of tomato paste and always cook through a bit first like with the onion add tins and a touch of sugar it gets rid of that tinned tomato taste but my hats off to you it looks great and always makes me hungry lol

      G'day Paul. I am sure Scott will give you his tuppence also but i have looked into this before mate. City Pigeons in the UK can carry Chlamydia which can then be passed onto humans via contact and digestion. They also have many other fungal issues that can cause the handler to become very sick. Rather than shoot the city birds, it might be more prudent to trap and feed said bird on grain for a period of two weeks to clean their system. This might work but again there are risks.I am not sure i would risk it if you are in London, Manchester, Glasgow or any of the larger cities, if you are in a semi rural city say Harlow, Oxford, Hull just off the top of my head, i would guess you would be ok. Interesting subject though. Cheers Moose.

    • @MOOSEDOWNUNDER
      @MOOSEDOWNUNDER 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      G'day Paul, i was thinking the exact same as you mate, when i lived in the UK, i thought what a waste! then after the research i started to get it. To be honest mate, i think if you treat them like Squirrel, i.e. put them in the drink to make sure all tics and nasties leave the fur before field dressing, you will be apples mate. I love Pigeon, best i had was in Lebanon, there they use nutmeg and grill the little burgers with lime, bloody magic mate. Keep us posted on how you go Paul. Very cool idea mate. Cheers Moose.

      Hi Paul, a good minute or so mate. We used hot water with Squirrels back in the day, like chooks, most of the feathers will pull or full out regardless. I am sure there is a method out there that will fit the bill mate. Alcohol, might leave a taste to the bird, same with Soap i would imagine. Let us know how you go. Cheers Moose.

    Hi Scott, I know this may be against tradition, but are you able to come up with a haggis type dish that does not use offal. My family would eat that but will not eat haggis due to the minced up lungs etc. They think it smells too much like a nackers yard.
