      @@MickelsonRacingChannel I have a 08 TBSS that I bought a year ago, no issue with the key fob or oil pressure. I'm also getting a little over 16MPG, but I do about 75% of my miles on the highway and I don't let it warm up for 15 minutes just a minute or two. I don't tow, but I must agree the harness placement was not well thought out by GM. I also have the same issue with snow build up on the rear bumper which covers up the handle when opening, I hate that.

    Greetings all, this is an older video, but I’m just seeing it for the first time. I’ve had my 06 TBSS for about a year and a half now and love it!
    Your low oil pressure is not normal. Mine idles at 42 psi when hot and purrs like a big cat.
    I don’t have the same thing you experience with unlocking with the remote. You might want to check your remote settings In the driver information center.
    Regarding trailer lighting, I have a round 7 to 4 flat connector permanently installed with the four flat connector zip tied to the Left chain loop with a few inches of slack. Normally it is tucked in by the hitch receiver. When I need it, pull it out and plug it in. No big deal. Work smarter, not harder.
    Mine is mostly stock except a K&N cold air intake and resonator delete and averages 14.9 miles per gallon. Not sure why yours is lower. When was your last tuneup?
    And regarding snow buildup, I keep mine in the garage. Funny how two people with the same vehicle can have totally different experiences.

      Sounds like you have a great example of a trailblazer ss! My oil pressure issue was fixed by changing oil filter brands. Definitely different experiences, two different applications as well!

    My SS 2 has all wiring to the hitch just plug and go and never had issues with oil pressure and it has 129000 on it. Gas mileage is what it is because I didn't buy it for that. It has never let me down and the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned.

    Get a Melling High Pressure oil pump. When I did my cam, dod delete, new LS7 lifters, beehive springs, etc that melling got rid of tick tick it made before and that is even after stiffer valve springs which should tick more.
    Too each their own. My 5.3 is at around 430hp at 130k and has 50k of miles after I did all that custom engine work so these trucks are solid.

    • @MickelsonRacingChannel

  • @74mythos

    That so called lifter noise could also be a broken exhaust manifold bolt. Once it heats up the MLS gasket expands and it goes away. If you hate it that much sell it and get something else.

    • @MickelsonRacingChannel
      @MickelsonRacingChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love it, my favorite daily driver! I’ll have to look into the exhaust manifold. It ticks even when warm, but not at cruising speed. Only at idle.

      It does decent with the factory wheels/tires. The wider tire size from factory is a little slippery due to the size of the contact patch. I thought it did well. I'm confused, it's supposed to be a "racing channel" and you're whining about lifter noise on a vehicle that according to you has over 250 thousand miles on it. Then you complain about the gas mileage on a 5 thousand plus pound vehicle that has an LS2 with 410 difs. Moving on to the key fob, I'm not a rocket scientist but I'd say the 250k miles might be a big part of your unlocking problem, since it was used just about everytime to unlock it to drive 250k miles. Suck it up and spend 75 bucks and buy a key fob from Auto Zone. The liftgate issue is pretty simple, look at the ground around you, every vehicle will get snow build-up in the winter. Lastly the vehicle came with a wire harness in the left rear compartment, plug it into the QD under the truck and since you decided to buy the SS to use for farming zip tie to the trailer receiver. Obviously from the looks of yours (rear compartment view) it been rode hard and put away wet but if you don't like it you be surprised on how quick it would sell. You never know someone may need it to haul hay.
