What are your thoughts on the Zx6r Market? Is it out of control or correct for the supply and demand? Let me know below?
I'd say its correct. Shit my e46 parts are only getting more and more expensive from dealer as it gets older and certain things aren't easily available anymore. Its 22 years old as well ahaha. Also they're getting quite a lot more pricey on the markets nowadays compared to say like 6 years ago for the good condition not beat to shit ones here in canada at least. But then again the car market is just way overpriced rn In general. Cant find no $500 beater nowadays more like $1500 min for a pos
As an owner of a nearly (90%)bone stock 03-04: For one that isn't clapped, the market is exactly where it should be. I see stunted ones going for 4-6k all day.
I'm constantly told by people that they've never seen an 03-04 in as good condition as mine. (Only missing whale tail, and has 27k😭)
So for one that's basically brand new, I'd HAPPILY pay MSRP plus 22 years of inflation🤣☠️
This bike is the only one that's even made me genuinely jealous. Just a more perfect version of my dream bike.😍😍
I have a good friend who has one and it's in mint condition too. For some reason he rides his other one more. Brian either way the bikes are smooth. Love your bike it's a beauty.❤
Man I wanted to buy one to stunt and they be wilding lil
@@Gail-u2f If mine had lower miles I would never take it out either. Still terrified of something happening though, cause I can't replace it if something goes wrong.
Bro, imagine if it had a little under 600 miles so that you could’ve rode it up to get the mileage to Reed 636 miles and then parked it. That would’ve been so cool 😂😂
Brah knows what’s up
Brah is definitely high right now thats a stoner thought if i know one🫶🏼😂
Gixxerbrah you are my hero!!!! For real bro, keep doing you!!! Brian is my second favorite man.
As cool as you brah..(nahhhh)lol

he got the blue and the 2 reds as far as i know he jus needs purple orange green and yellow
just got to put it out there R.I.P kawi it may have been like a month but you will always be missed

Feeling the pure joy and excitement from Brain was really cool. The bike is like 1 of 1 and is an amazing bike and piece of history! Great video Brian. Your one of the moto vloggers that got me buying a bike in the spring!
That means a lot man, thank you for the support. It was a special day for sure!

for a 21 year old bike it's in PERFECT condition. Nice addition to your collection!

Reminds me of the Drift scene where a mint 240 or Miata is so rare now cuz they’ve been used to be abused
I don’t think in my life I have ever seen a non new Miata with good paint
@@chrisrides2203 i got one 94k miles
Facts
I came here to make this comment. Fnding an unmolested 240 would be impossible.
This is cleanest 03/04 I’ve ever heard of and seen that is truly amazing after owning five I’ve never been able to find one like that
As someone just now getting wheelies down. It's good to know even you get a little squirrely sometimes if the PSI is high at-least. Gotta always remind myself it's all about putting the time in and just getting better. It's also good to know you are smart enough to not do stoppies on ancient tires.
Seat time
Beautiful bike and a piece of history there. Congrats!
I currently have a mint 05 636 that i got with 11k on it 7 years. Although 05/06 isn't the stunt bike the 03/04 is, its a fantastic riding and realiable bike.
These first two gen 636s are still my favorite looking bikes of all time.
Maybe because im a 90s kid and these bikes just have that raw semi oldschool look, but yet are modern enough to be light, have great suspension and geometry.
Brian's definitely gonna be running a museum in his later years. I have my own Kawasaki 03 with only 7000kms on it, truly the best era.
that's a gem. Its worth as much as it is worth to you my friend. love it, congrats on the new unit.
Love it Brian! Beautiful bike!! I only caught half the premier so had to come back and watch the full vid!
Best looking 636 of all time. I don't know who at Kawasaki lost that shade of blue, but they need to be fired. They had a 900 around that time too in that blue and it was awesome too. That shark nose on this 636 was da bomb too. Good score!
Can’t hate on the 22-23 zx6 black and blue color. Metallic Matte midnight blue. They definitely hit the mark on this 03 though that’s for damn sure.
They made Ninja 400s and 650s in that blue in 2018. I bought one in Vietnam recently that was in great condition like Brian's.
Dude who sold the bike watching this video:
“damn I should’ve asked 20 for it”
🤣🤣

@@veryslow5.045 yeah he probably would’ve paid it still😂
As a young man that's Into bikes I always love when TH-camrs like you post such good content on bikes I fell in love with when I saw them thanks for always posting such great content ❤:)
You are honestly the reason I got a 636 after watching you for many years. Im subscribed to you on 4 different accounts, I follow you on all socials. I wanna be a marine just like you are. I genuinely stride to be just like you. I don’t want to be a marine because of you though I’ve wanted to sense I was in 2nd grade. Thank you for keeping myself and others entertained all these years
It’s sick that your tight with the community there. Sharing what you love will always create the most awesome and meaningful interactions!
As a mechanic and collector of vintage Japanese motorcycles, can't lie, totally jealous. That is truly a once in a lifetime find. But don't hide it away forever. Maybe take it to some shows, ride it as much as you can bear...and in that way you are sharing that very special part of history. Well, whatever you want to do with it, cuz I guess this video is a great way to share. Thanks so much. I been looking for an 03/04 for years and most all you can find is used up parts bikes for way too much money, and even that is an uncommon find. But hey great video, great channel. I really enjoy everything you do!
I wont hide her away forever but for it to be preserved it is best to store it for a little while now
I felt this way when i found my 06. It's not as nice as this 03, but it was pretty clean and had only 7k miles on that beautiful flat plasma blue that kawi had that year. I cleaned it up, replaced the tiny china blinkers and cheap tail light with factory euro style blinkers, a TST tail light, and even found a clean discontinued Yoshi exhaust on ebay. I'd love to get an 03/04 someday to sit next to her.
I had an 04 in orange. Besides the cam chain tensioner shitting the bed 2x and moving to the manual tensioner conversion... that was probably my favorite bike I ever had & stunted.
It is crazy to see the prices of the older bikes climb, the cbr F4i, 929 and 954’s. The older 2000-2003 gsxr and especially the 03-04 636’s! In clean condition these bikes can get great money, just sold a 03 636 for $4200. Sadly seeing the parts become scarce sucks.
I absolutely fell in love with my $500 04 zx6r that I didn’t hesitate to buy as soon as I seen it. It’s my goal to own a gem like this or like any of your collection bikes!! Until then I’ll keep the front wheel in the sky on my 04!!! Such a great find I’d pay that for it too
Your cautious riding is my crazy riding.
Crazy how this video started making me reminisce back in 2005 ish riding with people that arent with us any more.
You inspired me to get all my bikes and inspire me to keep getting better so thank you so much. Hope to meet you one day
What a bike! I was born in Glendale Hights. No longer in the area but have made it out that way to ride for a few group rides. Never had the chance to bump into you but I will say you got me back into riding. That pulled me out of a dark place in my life!
You can tell it's legitimately his dream bike due to his laugh at 4:35 lol
Thanks for explaining 636 history. I could never figure 636 vs 599 on same model. Finally i get it. R vs RR for race homogulation.
I had a 1995 ZX6R. No love for 160 rear tires
Tyres have a shelf life of 5 years, I think, new ones needed lol 😆
They are FORSURE neeeded but cool to preserve the history
@brian636 it keeps it very original I guess 👊
@@IrelandRider if he's never gonna ride it again, keep the history attached.
@Next2Null yep what I said 👍
its 6 years not 5, 5 is typically only for very soft compound tires where the oils escape faster
Beautiful bike, i love the platform. Second bike i had was a 98 ZX6R , great bike. After a long row of anything from 1100 XXX to ZX10R , Daytona 675 among others i'm back on a 636 2024 . Feels amazing. Grats on your perfect bike.
15:55 “I’m riding so cautious” immediately cuts to riding with no hands.😂
And running red lights as always.
This man is the sole reason I wanted a 636, I love my 23 and wouldnt trade it for a liter bike anyday
supply and demand for sure, same as cars. i bought my 97 supra for 10k now theyre minimum 50k. some vehicles are built different
I'm just glad you're grounded and not like other TH-camrs that see only Ducati's or Aprilia's as the bike to get. Early 2000 Kawasaki's are awesome!
U can tell Brian was so uncomfortable by his hand when that kid revved it past 6k. One of a kind bike!
At 4:29 he drives his one of a kind bike right through a red light so I doubt he's too concerned about keeping it undestroyed.
I was surprised when you let him rev it!!!!! But that’s why I subscribe because you’re an enthusiast and people person above all!!!!
@@treytison1444 I mean, surely he runs the red light after ensuring it is clear no?
@@treytison1444the oncoming turn lane had a turn arrow, meaning everyone else was red. Mind ya business playa
It was a Pewter 2006 636 for me, the first bike I ever absolutely fell in love with!
Nothing beats that Kawi blue. I’ve got a 98 zx9r with 57k miles. And every time I ride it I just fall more in love with it!!!
The energy of this video is just unmatched man, that bike tho... loss of words man. All I can say is it's beautiful, I LOVE IT! and that blue, just something about that blue. Priceless.
I fucks with Brian.. Dude has real street cred... and he's not even a hood type of dude.. RESPECT!!!!
Bro you got gold!! $10K is a steal! Hold out 20 years and you’ll get $50K. Imagining the TH-cam power bringing in some real old school riders and getting them to do a reaction video of this one!
I love collecting, i respect you for what you’re doing with it and i think you got a steal for 9k ngl
I bought a 2004 gsxr 600 earlier this year with 1200 miles on it. It was IMMACULATE. put about 1500 miles on it since ownership, as well as a good polish + ceramic coat. It was so shiny it didn't look real.
Original tires, and still even had the STICKER laminate on the key hole thing. sadly I binned it in a stupid way at low speed. Probably the maddest I have ever been at myself lol...
Maybe ill try and find a K5 1000 with similar mileage one day.
When you re do your stunt bike pls use this color for it. Its the best one
So sick, Brian! Congrats on an epic piece of history.
I bought my 2014 636 with nearly the exact same story. It had 800 miles on it when I bought it, perfectly stock, Crystal White. I love this bike. I'm riding mine tho, and I won't ever be selling it ;)
I have the perfect April Fools idea. Do a new tank denting tutorial and pretend to use this bike as the victim.
Oh..... My..... LORD
OH HELL YEAH 🤣🤣🤣
I absolutely love the gold Calipers and accents!! One of my favorite visuals of that era. I'm a big Honda Blackbird fan , but these 636 are special...
Last year I found a 2008 R6 that had been sitting for 16 years. The original owner purchased it and then quit riding a couple months later. Had only about 400 miles on the dash. Bone stock condition. Anyone who knows the R6, knows how that is a holy grail of finds. Bought it for cheap and have put 7,000 miles on it in the past year. I’ve now fully converted it into my new race bike after retiring from street riding and I’ll never sell it, been my dream bike since I was a kid.
Unbelievably clean! Such an amazing find and not many people who I think are more qualified to own it! We know you will take care of her! Much Love Brian! That bike is priceless for sure!
You said 736 miles. How friggin cool would it be to park that thing at 636 miles? Then there is no way ever, ever, EEVVEERR, could you ever ride it another mile before parking it. Call your boy with his truck, come pick me up , I cant ride this thing another mile.
700 miles? thats only like 300 miles with a big sprocket!
I love to see Brian geeking out about 03 636 such a cool bike and what a fire color
That's an auction bike for sure. If you put it up you wouldn't be crazy to put a 16 grand reserve. More and more people want older vehicles without all the electronics.
It isn't worth anywhere near $16k... maybe $5k at most.
Damn seeing this on Xmas after my 04 jumped timing yesterday and lost compression really sets in what just happened. I don’t have any parts or any money currently as it all went to my kids xmas. I’m bummin hard today. Happy you found this gem though you’re right well likely never see another example this clean and low mileage. Merry Christmas Brian. Hope this next year is even better than this one and you continue to level up
That blue is beautiful. What a gem dude happy for you
Love that you're preserving it. I can't knock the "cars are meant to be driven" people, but at the same time, history is meant to be preserved. There's plenty of "driver" examples out there to enjoy. Saving one is worth it.
And yes I know its a bike but this mentality is very prevalent in the car community.
No point to the video? Seemed like pure joy! Great to see you even more 'up' than usual 👍🇬🇧
had this exact bike saved on marketplace back in september. i am 99% sure its the same one it was listed in bristol CT. needless to say if thats the same bike, you got a killer deal. i even hit the guy up to go look at it funny enough. gorgeous machine bro ride safe take care of her👍💯
That bike is PRICELESS MAN 🔥its fricking gorgeous, congrats on the purchase, Brian 🎉 w vid as always, thanks for covering the history of the 636 👌
I bought an 03 with 30k for $1500 last winter and spent the season learning. Brian is right you fall hard for these bikes but she is expensive. Stunt parts aren’t cheap. I bought a whole other parts 636 with a bent frame. You’ll end up spending as much on the bike as you do a new one. I’m not even done building mine and looking for different bikes to ride so I’m not putting 12k miles every season. And considering spending upwards of 2 grand for an extra engine to have “just in case”. The reality of it is the money really doesn’t matter and I’m really just grateful to have the chance to own and ride one.
The pure joy in his laugh during that clutch pull is contagious. 👌
Congrats Brian! You are so deserving of that bike! The price will only go up. About to hit the antique year 25. I’m sure it will only go up. Stay safe!!
Dude I feel you on that; that bike is priceless to you and has huge meaning to you. It's like me with my Dad's 1980 Kawasaki KZ1000 MKII (Trying to rebuild it; trying to save funds and such). I wouldn't sell that for any price either, A ton of memories with me and my Dad on it. On a side note keep doing what you are doing. Much love
Sweet color, you found a steel man...I had a 00' zrx1100 brand new..watching your video brings back memories. I bought it off of western ave, on the north side......sweet sound..
im a firm believer that anything with an engine was made to be driven, but when circumstances lead to somehting like this happening, there is nothing wrong with preserving something this rare that cant be repaired/replaced. i know this one has a good home
Wow that’s amazing. It’s the same bike a buddy of mine had and I fell in love with that color best one yet. Congrats on the new bike it’s perfect
I love how you love this bike! ive got 4 of them here if you ever want another. tbh I prefer Hondas but I love the 636. ive had 17 of them since 2010 rebuilt about 7 engines too lol
Nice man! Just got my first 2004 636 2 months ago, do you know anywhere i could get info on how to change a transmission? Im going to fix mine cause 3rd gear acts up
@@aibln6880 I always say buy the technical repair manual on every bike you purchase(if you plan to work on it yourself) However its a relatively simple repair if you have ever done something that involved with an engine

Brian have you cleaned Nick's cross I went up to clean my brother's and saw Nick's I love you man hope you doing good❤
as someone who has taken on my dads 636 this is pretty crazy. it's an 04 but manufactured in 03. it's silver. he let me have it at 13k miles and it was bought new in 03. i haven't stunned it because it's just too precious to me. i got it up to running condition and keeping it as clean as possible only doing good oem mods like zx10r brakes, 08 zx14 rear and front Nissin master cylinders as well as 08 zx14 nissin calipers. other than that i keep her clean and well maintained. always read over the service manuals and see what i need to do at what mileage. this bike being so raw is really special to me. no abs, no tc, just a gas light, rpms, speed, shift light, and time/milage or temp. thats all you need and she feels perfect in a canyon setting
Love all your videos g I got I’m 16 and got into ur videos just over a year ago and u made me fall in love with bikes, luv from da uk
I'm gonna be honest bro it's priceless I respect it i been meaning to stop by the shop when I'm west but be forgetting I respect what you doing to this 03 636
Idk how i came across this video. What a blessing it was to be young when these bikes hit the street. I remember when they came out. I remember when the ZX10R came out and when i shit my pants the 1st ride after coming down into a slapper at about 160mph. Literally shit. And i had a 99 R1. Those were the days when if you didn't wheelie you werent respected. We would go out and get the cops to chase us in group rides for fun after a night of getting hammered. Oh man times have changed. Not gloririfying the riding and drinking because i lost too many friends. But the bikes we got were absolutely amazing year after year. I had my S1K since 2014 and im not interested in anything else there is out there right now. To me thats when 2wheels peaked and theyve only gone downhill and ridiculously expensive. Take care of that time capsule please bro ❤ Everyone ride safe
Awesome find! That blue in person in the sun looks amazing the camera doesn't do it justice, it is most likely Lightning Blue the same as my 2000 ZX9r.
Man this bike is truly art. These 02/03-04' are truly art. theyre beautiful.

I have a 2004 636 Engine I found in a truck at a junkyard no bike just a motor, I took it apart and it looks brand new inside other than a few bent valves however I am certain someone had it apart put it together had it timed wrong and went to start and bent valves then . Great video, I am just Nort of you in Wisconsin.
I love me a 03/04 636 I bought my 06 in 07 with 1000 miles on it and I still have it to this day it’s no where near as nice tho, it’s going to get turned into a track bike soon. But I am glad you are preserving a few bone stock bikes from a time of what was and a time in motorcycle history that will never be again. These new bikes today are no where near as good or as simple to work on in my opinion.
