R.I,P To All the brave men and women that have givin their lives to see a free and united Ireland. our freedom shall be the laughter of our children. Bobby Sands Vol. TAL32
@@nicholasjkane if it wasnt for what these men and women did back in 1916. then there wouldnt be a free ireland. it would still be part of the UK. these BRAVE men lit the flame of freedom. and still it burns. Ireland unfree shall never be at peace. also it wasnt just Pearce that made the plan. it was made by all the major volunteers. And they finally gave Ireland a free country. albeit. at expence of the north of ireland. and im sure in time that will be reunited with the whole country.
@@francisboyle1379 It's such a pity Michael Collins was assignated by his own countrymen, and DeValera went on to have three times more Irishmen shot, than the British did; 77 in all. How could the Irish people continue to vote for such an ugly and wicked man?
What I don't understand is why not one of the 1916 leaders ran for election before starting a rebellion. The case for a republic - and the case for achieving it by any means necessary - was never put before the people. The case for home rule was put to the people by the IPP and won an overwhelming mandate. The rebels should have done the same, if only to establish there was widespread backing for extreme actions.
Was there any actual court martial? They were all sentenced to death without fail, except for Countess Markowitz who was probably saved because she was a woman
God Bless them all .....Heroes one and all 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
