What if instead of teaching Barry how to phase, Eobard Wells taught Barry how to use his lightning to short circuit the time bomb and shoot lightning using the speedforce?
Maybe Thawne told barry how to throw lightning and that was the speech that made Barry figure out who Thawne actually was. And then Barry learned to phase afterwards, so they kind of swapped times that Barry learned these things.
Season 1 Barry found out by when season 2 Barry ran back in time to speak too Harrison wells for more speed then he might have taught season 1 Barry son extra stuff

There's something that's been tinkering around in my head still that I remember from season 1 of Flash, that there was a letter sent to Barry that never had to do anything with the storyline after that it only made an appearance at the end of an episode
My theory is that in post crisis. Sand Demon was affected by Thawne's particle accelerator. Then Thawne taught Barry to throw lightning. This happens the episode before Sound of Fury. That episode would take place at the same time it normally does.
Obviously this introduces the problem why didn't Barry remember not to trust Wells and "Jay" and know who is Savatar and know all the people De Voe would absorb and that kind of stuff

I think I may have worked out why Eobard Wells would have taught Barry how to throw lightning, what if Sand Demon happened earlier than normal, being created from the particle accelerator instead of coming from another earth, and since Eobard (I think, it’s hard to tell what version of him knows what) would have come from the future where this has/will have happened then he would remember Barry taking out Sand Demon with lightning (possibly real or weather wand) which from Eobard’s future/past/will have been encounters with the flash he would know the flash can throw lightning.
I always just assumed that the Flash that threw lightning was the S2 Flash who had come back. And for whatever reason S1 Barry was instead knocked out longer than expected.
But if there was no multiverse then where did Zoom get the idea of “Jay Garrick”. There is a lot of holes in the post crisis history Edit: Also Zoom’s origin would be different since his dad killed his mother because he was traumatized because of the “War of the America’s” so even if his father was traumatized by a different war you would think the timing and stuff would be different
Easy, Jay Garrick exist on Earth 2 post-crisis, or rather he did exist up until his (potential) death at the hands of the Injustice Society a decade ago as seen on Stargirl. That would perfectly allow for Zoom to pretend to be Jay when he arrives on Earth Prime. The only obstacle would be that Zoom would need to create another version of Jay's helmet since it's still stored in the JSA headquarters which wouldn't be a problem considering he was able to make an entirely new costume pre-crisis. He also would've needed to strictly only pretend to be Jay on Earth Prime because if tried doing it on Earth 2, the Injustice Society would've caught wind and killed him. I they would kill him rather than could considering they managed to wipe out most of the Justice Society, including Jay Garrick as The Flash
Ace of Games But Zoom never arrives on Earth Prime, he was born there in the post crisis timeline. In the post crisis Zoom nor any member of Team Flash comes in contact with another Earth. We see from Cisco’s board that Zoom is born on Earth Prime and gets his powers from the particle accelerator explosion.

Zoom's movement power isn't based on speed, it's based on time. He moves through time at a different pace than everything else. He doesn't really go that fast, he just completes what he's doing ahead of when he should.

Zoom's movement power isn't based on speed, it's based on time. He moves through time at a different pace than everything else. He doesn't really go that fast, he just completes what he's doing ahead of when he should.
