As for Deinocheirus, it has quite the wait unfortunately. This may be subject to change but currently;
Edmontonia > Concavenator/Scorched Arco > Cryo > break time > Velociraptor, Deinocheirus, and Suchomimus

I sometimes don’t like garuga’s creature because they feel overtuned, and while this is certainly strong, it’s not so strong as to invalidate the rest of the ocean. Plus, I love anomalocaris, and I’m always happy to support garuga. Thanks Becca, you just secured a buy for this mod
It looks great! So happy that something new is the ocean. Garuda does great work, and I’m excited to see what other creatures he has planned. I hope that any of his future plans include birds, as I’d love to see the group become just as diverse as the others in Ark.
at first I was sceptical about the mod being paid, but the skill tree and abillity variation along with the little subspecies' details gives one tame a whole new layer of depth. awesome stuff!

This thing is actually so sick, and also unexpected. I really like all the features it has, though just in general, it seems like ASA has greatly expanded what is possible for mods.
I hope it gets a proper dossier at some point too (like some of the other Ark Additions creatures), if it doesn't already have one.
Hmm. I wasn't interested in Anomalocaris initially - as a creature, regardless of paid mods - but this video actually changed my mind on it. Whenever the next map with an ocean drops, I'll probably actually pick this up! Thanks for the spotlight.

Had a first time trying to find one in the wild... was immediately jumpscared due to not knowing it could cloak as an ichthy. And then again was jumpscared when I took a closer look at another "Ichthy" on a Glaucus.

This feels like too much for 1 creature. So much detail, I really wish every Ark creature was this fun and detailed.

Currently, yes, BUT it looks like Premium Mods are getting some big changes soon. I don't know the details, only speculation, but it IS being reviewed

Against unridden creatures when you've massively levelled into an ability that's going to do heavy damage regardless, and specifically only when it's not already engaged in combat. You don't get that for free and it's not going to make-or-break a fight regardless.

@@DarkEdgeTVSurvival I can't imagine how that would work on larger unofficial clusters. If a server owner wants to use it then they will just outright kick players who can't or don't want to use the mod. Hopefully they come up with a better system like a higher price point for server owners.

if the anomalo has a 5% chance to instakill upon lvl 50 in ambush, could you theoretically bring a bunch of them to the moeder boss and put them all in stealth and let them attack from ambush mode?
Oh that sounds hilarious. But I just got confirmation that that won't happen, it can't effect bosses ^^

Did Garuga steal from the Additional creatures mod-?
They added this creature to their Mod first, and it looks too similar to their Model-
Nooo? That's a huge reach. Garuga livestreamed and shared plenty of WIP of his Anomalo sculpt and process, and also no one owns rights to any prehistoric animals, Anomalo is in The Sunken World too.
@@DarkEdgeTVSurvival i just had that feeling considering recently there has been some Drama with the Ark Additional Creatures and the Prehistoric Beasts mod, as the owner of the Prehistoric Beasts mod stole a lot of models from other people including the owner of the Additional Creatuees mod, which resulted in the owner of the Prehistoric Beasts mod to redesign creatures as an appology, yet because he stole a Model from the creator of the Additional Creatures Mod, the owner of said mod removed his Oxalaia Model.
So when i seen this Model and the Anomalocaris from the Additional Creatures mod, you can see why that was my first thought.
With that pattern, it sounds more likely that Additional Creatures would steal from Garuga then, not the other way around. But that's not possible anyway due to AC sharing theirs first and Garuga keeping his stuff on lockdown and not sharing it at all.
So I think it really is just a coincidence. Like I mentioned earlier, prehistoric creatures aren't copyrighted or owned, it's likely we'll start seeing more "duplicates" or "mirrors"

Wonderful mod, I just wish I didnt have to force other people to have to buy it to play on the server I run. Totally all for supporting mod authors but for people who are less fortunate it sucks.

It was originally intended for The Centre, but that map getting delayed really messed with Garuga's schedule

So when you have a paid mod I assume everybody needs to have paid for it to join your server? If so, thats a big hurdle.
I was wondering this too because I wouldn't mind getting it but no way I could convince all of my friends on my server to spend 5$ for 1 creature that lives in the biome that only I care about

@@bouganhagain8131 i think if the server host has the mod, everyone automatically has this mod temporarily on the servers host, once they leave they don't have the paid mod anymore.

First premium mod I do not agree with. $5 for a singular creature. Especially one that's limited to the ocean, the worst biome of them all. There's nothing to do down there.
I do understand the need for money to fund other creatures but the first creature should've been land/air. I'm all for supporting amazing modders but I can't just waste money on a thing I'll never use, as it has no use.
The mechanics are cool though. Shows amazing promise for future taming methods and requirements :)

Paid mods is not a great idea, they should just set up a revenue source and pay creators, which I know is easier said than done. Because I can’t see people dropping five bucks or more every time they want a new cool dino, it just seems like an oversight for the community. Imagine if Tinker’s Construct was five dollars, or imagine is The Aether Mod was ten dollars back when mods in Minecraft were becoming a big part of the game. The point I’m making is that if we start monetizing community content it’ll kill the community. Which sucks but that’s the way of life, what used to be free content (mods) now cost money if they’re “premium” enough in a busted, money grabbing game. Just a bad look overall- I feel bad for the mod dev though because it would be awesome for him to get paid but I just don’t think folks will pay.
Thing is, I entirely agree. I would really love for the deserving creators like Garuga to get ALL of the profits from this, not the 50/50 cut (I do understand the hosting platforms/services argument) but the very frustrating reality is that people are much more likely to quickly spend $5 in an in-game app than they are finding entirely different websites and creating a new account for Patreon/KoFi. It's not right at all, but it's going to earn the creators more in the longrun.. even if it's still a smaller amount. I do know that Garuga is only exploring this route in order to offset the cost of making many more free dino mods 💕
Mind you I'm personally ONLY going to buy premiums I actually care for, so Garuga's and maayybbee any exceptional other creators. I don't have the money to squander on just anyone looking to make a quick buck, haha. You're right that the paid system does risk creating an unhealthy market - it's not much but I at the very least won't check those mods unless they actually deserve the attention.

Garuga's creature modules are always high quality with outfit designs and clean animation, but I have to mention one thing: most of his design "ain't" built for balanced or regular PvP server.
For example, if a creature can grant 5% chance of instakill any type or a wide variants of creatures, it's simply a too op stuff as it can provide high stun timer at the same time.
Also with deinotherium, it's designed to be a soaker/buff creature/group fight mega creature, but it don't have any kind of protection for mounters , cause it to be a waste of good health bar and turret resistance, buff is also a weird one and can not auto play or be triggered by leader Deino, which just really inconvenient compare with Yuuti(I suggest you try it out yourself, It's just really awful to use as buff creature). in group fight, it's basically another broken, op, mutate-booming war machine, destroys the whole PvP's combat meaning.
And Acro, which has to be strongly nerfed to be put into any kinds of PvP server back in ASE, adrenaline brought percentage healing and can be use multiple time if Acro is still alive after its effect, also increase his damage and overall DPM performance, makes Mega battle creature etc Giga, Rex or Spino like living joke.
These creature's stats, abilities or like deino's saddles are not well-concerned with PvP situation, so after having long try with mates and almost detonate a civil war in a process which "should've be peaceful", I won't recommend any of you to put Garuga's creature mods into your lovely member's PvP server without personally try out and figure out the solution to well-balance or modify these creature.
