I replaced all my ladders with stairs and hand rails. I’m in Iowa so ice and snow cause slippery issues. Also, as one gets older stairs become a safety factor and are quieter than ladders.
Windows are way too BIG ... ! ( and complicated)
If I were you I put a slide window on much easy to use and keep the cold air coming when you want to shoot.
