I remember reading about a lot of disappoint with one model of NH rotary rake, and I have a theory on why they had problems. This rake is a perfect example of not having those problems. The number of arms needs to be high enough that the rotation speed can be low enough to not cause issues. Having more arms with plenty of tines means ground speed can be good without over doing the rotation speed that would be needed to provide coverage.

Should call it a rock rake , kicking up rocks as soon as it hits the ground .
It hits the ground, it simply isn't set up properly.
