    Like how the rotary takes stand the hay up. No rolling it over or roping. Make sure you stay hydrated in this hot humid weather. It got me bad. A trip to the e.r. 2 i.v. Fluid bags and sitting on the sidelines now for almost a month. I think I learned my lesson

    as kids we weren't allowed to ride on the fenders until we were about 10 or 11 but we only rode on them when we were in training. by the time i was 8 years old i was running my own 4020. but I only drove the tractors doing tasks like disking or grading the driveway. I was broke in on simple tasks for a couple of years but when I turned 11 I was able to play an important role on the farm. the little guy will soon enough have his day he will grow up fast. nice video.

    Rotary Rakes do a great job, if I could afford it I would buy a twin center Rotary Rake 👍

    It’s certainly doing a nice job. Growing up I used a Claas rotary week that looked very similar to that. The thing I like the looks on the Kuhn is the swivel deflector; the Claas had a slide and pin. Looks really good.

    Those are nice rakes. I used to work for a shop that sold equipment from Kuhn. As far as smaller rakes go those are hard to beat

      @@mikep7810 roll bar rakes... the NH 256 as an example is great too.. same design since the 50's, in my opinion the less there is to a rake the better it will be.
      Set up is key with the Kuhn rakes. Slow starts to get them set right and knowing your fields... that goes with all equipment but again as far as small rakes go. There isn't much to them and that's a good thing. They're well designed

    Looks like a nice upgrade in hay rakes. Looks like it stands the windrow up really nice so the air can dry the hay down. Good luck with it if you buy it. Stay safe.

      На этих граблях мы использовали трактор мощностью 70 лошадиных сил, а также трактор мощностью 85 лошадиных сил. Я думаю, у вас мог бы быть трактор мощностью 40-50 лошадиных сил, который мог бы управлять этими граблями.

    I love our rotary rake I don't think I could ever go back to a roll bar now lol only annoying thing with ours is taking sharper turns especially with it picked up the pto shaft will hit on the three point arms..maybe you won't have that problem depends on the tractor it's on

    • @mikep7810
      @mikep7810  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah we take the three point hitch arms off our tractors so the only one it would have a problem like that on is the 3010 because the arms are still on that

    • @mikep7810
      @mikep7810  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Any problems with them not holding up?

    • @toddcash5350
      @toddcash5350 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They hold up fine, I make sure that I keep the teeth out of the ground(1") and they are not made to be in rough ground. If u mess up the gear box, then they are junk. Been running them for 30 plus years. I think ours are like 14ft path, ours has the gold up arms and remove able teeth.
      I would advise against a twin rodder ,just two big and 30k....

      @@mikep7810 We always hated our rollbar rake when it would "wind" the windrow and wheel rakes never could handle our very heavy hay. My dad broke out & brought back our old New Idea crimper he used when he would use a sickle mower, then crimper, then rake the hay. That 2nd pass with that crimper REALLY helped out drying the hay.
