I didn't think they would get the actor to record new clips and make it like Tekken since 4, never updating their new voice lines. That person is the only voice actor to only voice Kazuya, he's never recorded or played anyone other than him compared to the original Kazuya. I'm confused how most of the VAs weren't called up to record new lines, especially Sonic, did they just not care and not call Rodger? Or Meta Knight or ZS Samus?
I think the issue with Sonic is that he has 6 VAs, one of which is deceased (Roger Craig Smith in English, Junichi Kanemaru in Japanese, Alexandre Gillet in French, Jonatan Lopez in Spanish, Renato Novara in Italian, and Marc Stachel in German), so I think if they wanted to get new voice lines with one actor, they would have to do it with all six, and I think not all of them were available to give Sonic new lines

Kazuya is said to be weak in Japan so far, but I believe he is very strong
Note: using the 10-Hit Combo is a sure way to die. It’s as impractical here as it is in Tekken.
And also like in Tekken, the real broken bullshit is the Electric Wind God Fist. Master it, and you have yourself a very fast shield breaker, launcher, punisher and general combo filler.
Of course, be prepared to take a lot of punishment due to Kazuya’s weight, size, sluggish frame data, sluggish jump and sluggish air mobility, not at all unlike Tekken gameplay, where air combat is nonexistent.

Heihachi's fourth seiyuu did, he had three beforehand which everyone seems to have forgotten about for some reason. Banjo Ginga in Tekken 1 as he reused Jack voicelines (he's still alive), Wataru Takagi in 2 (who is also still alive), and his longest running VA Daisuke Gori who voiced him from Tekken 3 to Tekken 6 until his unfortunate suicide.
Yeah, Incineroar was his last role.
Seeing Namco Bandai and Square Enix being strictly union based, it makes sense why Cloud, Sephiroth, and Kazuya speak Japanese. Square Enix is strictly union based, and Nintendo got tired of using union actors, so they had no choice but to keep Cloud and Sephiroth in Japanese. Namco has almost every character in Tekken speak their native tongue, and because Kazuya is from Japan, it makes sense he spoke Japanese. I'm saying that 3 characters speak no other language but Japanese. It pretty much what happened to Cloud, Roy, and Marth in Smash 4. Unlike Marth and Roy, Cloud kept his Japanese voice.

Wow. I can't believe that they didn't decide to use the Tekken 4 recordings for grunts and shouts. Its cool that they got him to reprise his role, but... it just doesn't sound right.
Good to see I'm not the only one surprised they went with all new grunts and voice clips.

They did give those first 6 voice clips the same style as like in the tekken games if you watch in comparison, but you can tell it sounds altered
If anything, it’s a GOOD thing they didn’t go with those 20 year-old sound bytes. And it makes me hopeful that new ones will be recorded for the next Tekken game. Assuming Bamco stops being complacent with the series.
It seems like Nintendo feels obligated to bring in the current voice actors to record lines for the guest characters because even though Terry has an iconic voice they brought in the new actor and it isn’t the same, and Kazuya seems to have newly recorded sounds as well. It’s amazing to have them in but let’s be honest it would add that special touch if they sounded like they really should.
Also, Ryu and Ken are mostly based on their SF2 versions but they had to bring in the cringey American guys from the newer games to awkwardly say their Japanese attacks lol (Totsewmocky Senpookyuck!). Should’ve just kept their original voices.
