Good informative video. Makes a change from those who think a quick walk around then start the motor warrants a review. Thanks for going into detail over what you bought and why.
I LOVE the street bob. They are exactly my style of bike and they look amazing. I don't know when I will get another bike but when I do, it will be one of these.
Great Video Brandon......BUT dude, at the end of the Video, I was SO hoping to hear the Short-Shots, especially with the great acoustics of that garage :( You (as a Harley owner) must end your Vids with the awesomeness (if you like of course, it's your vid) You just made me have to go find the rumble elsewhere lol. Great vid man and nice choice of ride. Thanks.
Nice video big guy" I myself ride a triumph rocket 3 but I still do love Harley's and many other bike in general, whatever you ride you simply need to enjoy what your ridding; I do wish the next time you should start the bike and let us hear the sound of the pipes you said you loved so much. "Be Safe"
Good job on the review. I have a vivid black '13 SB and really enjoy it. Installed 2" Rush slip-ons (able to hear me before you see me) & a single saddle bag. Forward controls were mandatory and my dealer threw 'em in on the total cost.. I actualy stopped in to purchase a mirror for my 08 Fat Bob and left with the SB since I always admired the style & look. Also not a fan of mini apes and will prob change 'em out. Was looking for info/advice when I came across your vid.
Very nice review. I'm vertically challenged and went with the Sportster 72 in denim black. Similar look but not as much of a stretch for me at 5'6". Enjoy!
+Husband and Wife - he rides 2015 Ducati Panigale 1299S and she rides 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R Update, I traded in my Sportster for a Street Bob. I had the dealer swap out mid-controls for forward controls. I installed V&H Slash Cuts with quiet mufflers, Big Sucker intake and FP3 tuner the following day and I've put 500 miles it over the last two weeks and really enjoying this bike.
Just picked my 2009 Fat Bob up. Couldn't resist her. Stage IV & tons of mods. A brand new Street or Fat, was just outa my reach at pres. I'll post some video soon.
I really love this bike and I found one for 8 grand should I buy it and I'm worried about the death wobble how is this bike on tight turns and controls...would really appreciate anybody getting back to me about this
Your bike looks great, I like black with just a few hints of chrome. I looked at one of these today, ltd. edition. about 10000 miles for 9K. Still thinking! Saw a totally refurbished pan head w/ suicide clutch looked brand new! ugh was not for sale.
Watch out for the Dyna, rear wheel "Death Wobble", cause of the rubber mounted engine and stock suspension, especially cornering around the twisties. Notorious, bike for doing that.
I own a 2015 SB and love it. Prior to that I had a Sporty which I got bored of real quick and before the I had an 2009 ZX6R which I loved but killed my back and scared the wife lol. Great bike! Next bike will probably be a Z1000 but not to replace the Bob though. The Bob will be in my garage until it dies. Nice Ride bro, keep the rubber side down!
I keep my rain sock on all the time unless I need the extra (tiny) bit of performance. K&Ns let way too much shit in through them and if you are riding in a sandy/dusty environment they can allow enough debris into your engine to cause catastrophic engine failure.
iv never ride a davidson before but a lot of dirt bikes cr250s cr500 yzf450 xr600 ect. how you recon i would go on that one? iv been thinking of geting one because iv grown out of dirt bikes and i want more torque .
+ang fig I grew up racing dirtbikes and I just bought a 2016 Street Bob. being delivered tomorrow. I will be doing a video series on the bike so check them out.
+TracerRacer awesome man i bet you cant wait tomorrow. are you going to keep it stock or put some pipes on it? on the video that your going to make, can you mentioned please the difference of experience from dirt bike to harley that il need to know on your video besides the wight. il see if i can find you to subscribe thanks.
As a new rider I must say great video! Hopefully I'll pass the brc . Course in the next month but great explanation of the upgrades, by the way do you have any tips on buying your first bike what to expect and lookout for?
Are you still satified with your bike? In 2016 I want to buy a new Street Bob Special which loolks like yours.Sorry, my English isn't very well, I'm from Germany.
Johnny Anaya Well man your hight is fine I'm 6'2" as well and its comfortable. In weight I'm too sure only because I weigh 175 but I defiantly wouldn't consider it a deal breaker. I'd go to your local Harley dealer and give it a feel.
Well man I'm not sure I don't think it'll be to big for you but I'm not a 100%. If its your dream bike than I would probably go with it, but defiantly sit on a couple bikes before you decide to go with that one. check out some sportsters as well just for comparison.
hey brandon! this is exactly why i want to change my iron. i want a bigger bike but not as big as a softail. i found the street bob the perfect mach. how would you compare the suspensions between this one and a sportster?
Márcio Biaso Whats up man, personally I don't have a lot of seat time on sportsters but what little I do have it seems to be pretty similar. Maybe a little more forgiving on the street bob, hope this helps.
Why would you want to though. I have a 13 fxdb and I raised mine more with ractech stuff. You want clearance to have it handle better. Each their own I guess
thats reeeaaal sick for a first bike. My first Harley is an 06 sportster and i'm 6 foot, 297 pounds... I wish I could have afforded something as big as that. Have you been giving it a good hard break in?
CantStopCheapy Well man I'm not sure I don't think it'll be to big for you but I'm not a 100%. If its your dream bike than I would probably go with it, but defiantly sit on a couple bikes before you decide to go with that one. check out some sportsters as well just for comparison.
The most I've ridden is an 883 iron but I'm considering getting one of these brand new as my first bike. Would you not recommend this? Also, What do you mean when you say if you put some throttle around a corner you could break the tire loose?
if youre satisfied with ur 883, id say get a 48, more tq and hp, but if u can afford a street bob, definately get it, its the most perfect bike, atkeast for me since im only 5'5,
+Husband and Wife - he rides 2015 Ducati Panigale 1299S and she rides 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R thanks man. Helps my decision. I've always like the look of the street bob. I'll definitely be getting one of these this spring
+David Kelly Have you tried the FXDF (Fat Bob)? I'm 6'6 - 295#, and it's pretty comfortable. Comes with forward controls. Just depends if you're tall in the legs or torso.
johnny3400 Whats up man, I think your gunna be fine on this bike. I would first go to a dealer and sit on one to see how you feel on it. Don't worry about what you look like, focus more what feels the best to you and get the bike that makes you feel like a child again all excited ready to go ridding when you look at it.
johnny3400 I'd go to a dealer and sit on a few bikes for comparison. You can get bikes that are made for people who aren't very tall. I'm not talking 5'10 either, I'm talking 5'6 and shorter. You can also get different seats to help with your reach for the handle bars. I'd tell you this, I test rode a completely stock '15 street bob and I'm about six foot tall. I had no problem at all with reach for both my legs and arms. So I'd say you'll be fine with one. Do try out a few others like the fat boy, fat bob, and even some sportsters to see what you think after. Best of luck!
***** is a pretty well known fact, the extra 500cc didn't get much in power department for the big twins and the combination of lighter weight and shorter gearing on the sporties make the 1200 the second fastest harley model in a straight line only after the v-rods which coincidentally is also 1200cc. but at the end of the day harley's are about the cruise more than speed, other wise we would of all be riding hayabusas right? cheers.
Tim Yea man I really like the bike a lot. Not to big, not to small, has a nice sporty look to it, sounds great with the Vance & Hines. Overall im really happy with it.
Fucking sweet bike, its pretty expensive though. I really liked the 48 but i think its simply too small for me so now the choice is between this or the Vrod..
StyrbjornStarke Yea I like the bike a lot, I was looking at the 48 when I was buying this one as well and it was just too small for me. That Vrod is a badass and a quick bike, a bit different in looks from the Street Bob. Its a couple grand more but its liquid cooled and good looking bike.
I blow Dynas and 110 CVOs, out of the water every day, with my Roadstar 1602cc, V Twin with 4 valves per cylinder to the Dyna, 2 valves and 2 spark plugs per cylinder to the Dyna's 1 plug per cylinder. By bike runs 109ft/lbs. of torque at the rear wheel , cause my bike uses Metal Gear for the primary to the chain drive primary on the Dyna. My bike uses a 45lb., auto style forged crankshaft to the 30lb. lightweight pressed together, Dyna crankshaft, which can twist out of true. My crank uses two piece auto style Connecting Rods, to the Dyna's hollowed out one piece con rods. My bike's oil pump idles at 40 psi, to the Dyna's 3-8 psi, the Twin Cams are nothing but, a heat machine. I run my two cams with a Metal Gear Drive, to the Dyna's Roller Chain drive and PLASTIC (NYLON) cam chain tensioners which are designed to wear out or crater the engine, if not replaced, as needed. No Plastic components in critical engine components on my air cooled bike.
Vabch82: Ride what you like, but, facts are facts, the Twin Cams, are not like the EVOS, of yesterday.......pressed together, flywheels, instead of bolted together, like the EVOS, PANHEADS, and SHOVELHEADS. Roller chain drives, that can stretch and affect cam/valve timing, PLASTIC cam chain tensioners, designed to wear out and failure to change them, when worn out, will crater the engine, all the older Harleys used Metal Gear drives, to run the single cam, no PLASTIC to operate the cams in any way......INA cam bearings with cages, that can break apart and tear an engine apart, instead of Torrington B-124 bearings for the cams., this is info for the newbies, who don't know about the Twinkies.........if you love the Twinkies, more power to you, I don't care, but, some bikers, always like facts to make a buying decision, it's for those folks, not for you, so, you don't need to worry about it, pal.
Cs Co: All it takes is money, premium prices for these bikes, is not enough, have to spend more, hard earned money, just to fix what the factory should have done in the first place........works great for the rich guy, but, for the hard working stiff, it's more money out of his pocket and into Harley corporate offices, to pay the executives their high dollar bonuses, while the factory workers get stiffed, like in 2014, when Harley had a "re-structuring", and got rid of 25% of their American workers, and had them train their own foreign worker, replacements, or risk losing their severance pay, as they were escorted out the door.........yeah, the guys in corporate, love your attitude, spend more money for what they should have done to begin with......to do what you said: "everything.....with the twin cam is easily addressed".......
+tomcata1467 that's a lot of typing. you have a lot to prove. I simply don't care i rode evo or twin or pan or shovel no Japanese cruisers that's simply a fkn joke . no reply needed keep rambling
I'm no weekend warrior... put 20K miles on my bike I just got late August. me, PERSONALLY, they sound better than a two into one does. But I would've put a 2-1 on a dyna if it was mine, Harley Wheelies 4 life.
clearly you've never heard the V&H 2 in 1 short comps. I put them on my FXDLS next to my buddy's fxdls with short shots and the sound of the 2 in 1 OWNS his bike
I just bought my 2016 street bob 2 days ago and I fkn love it!!!!
Looking at a 2008 with a 96 twin cam , and it fits me the best of all most all bikes I have sat on so far. Thanks for your info
Thinking about this as my first bike.
I say this rarely, good info man! I love that you went through your customization and why, really helps. Thanks, ride safe.
Joe Smo Thanks man I appreciate it, ride safe.
Thanks.
The flat paints are harder to take care of. With he denims you will end up with smooth spots and you can't get rid of those.
Nice video big guy" I myself ride a triumph rocket 3 but I still do love Harley's and many other bike in general, whatever you ride you simply need to enjoy what your ridding; I do wish the next time you should start the bike and let us hear the sound of the pipes you said you loved so much. Get the Bob
Remember if you get a bike ride safe,, great advice 😊 I have this same bike I'm 5'5 great bike with a big motor, thanks for sharing
Did you have to get it adjusted for you to fit your height ? Im only couple inches taller than you and i want a street bob but looks huge
Denim paint is not powder coated. It's the way they mix the clear coat to give it that look. I have the same bike
Check out bassani pro streets, or python pipes.
What’s the difference between 2011 and 2013 street bob ?
I love street bobs even tho I never owned one, but one day hopefully I'll get to ride one
I'm looking to get one as soon as. Swapping my Sporty for one. Nice upload ✌🏼️
Just picked my 2009 Fat Bob up. Couldn't resist her. Stage IV & tons of mods.
A brand new Street or Fat, was just outa my reach at pres. I'll post some video soon.
The street Bob dyna is probably the best of the Harley s a future collectable bike.
Nice vid dude. Like what you've done so far.
I really love this bike and I found one for 8 grand should I buy it and I'm worried about the death wobble how is this bike on tight turns and controls...would really appreciate anybody getting back to me about this

nice ride bro!! to late now as you have your ride!!! did you look at the FATBOB?????
Very nice.. doesn't the 14 15 16 and 17 have a stronger engine? I heard something lime that
Watch out for the Dyna, rear wheel "Death Wobble", cause of the rubber mounted engine and stock suspension, especially cornering around the twisties. Notorious, bike for doing that.
u really can't ride if you think a new dyna has wobble must be your old hand going out....
That's really only the case on the big tourers.
Vabch82: Thanks for your input.
I prefer the single head light like your bike has
I own a 2015 SB and love it. Prior to that I had a Sporty which I got bored of real quick and before the I had an 2009 ZX6R which I loved but killed my back and scared the wife lol. Great bike! i was thinking of buying this or a wide glide
I keep my rain sock on all the time unless I need the extra (tiny) bit of performance. K&Ns let way too much shit in through them and if you are riding in a sandy/dusty environment they can allow enough debris into your engine to cause catastrophic engine failure.
Did you remap it after the exhaust and air cleaner? Or just leave it alone since it’s fuel injected to auto correct?
iv never ride a davidson before but a lot of dirt bikes cr250s cr500 yzf450 xr600 ect. how you recon i would go on that one? iv been thinking of geting one because iv grown out of dirt bikes and i want more torque .

have you done that video yet?
Been checking these out, thanks for the review.
As a new rider I must say great video! Hopefully I'll pass the brc . Course in the next month but great explanation of the upgrades, by the way do you have any tips on buying your first bike what to expect and lookout for?
its actually vance and hines short shots :p
Haha I was thinking the same thing. Short shorts would be funnier though.
If ever I create my own exhaust company I will be calling the shortest version the Short Shorts in reference to this
What kind of back seat is that ?
Is your ignition switch black I have a 2015 street bob but in Vivid black and its chrome did your bike come like that?
I have a 15 SB too and mine is matte black..
and the bike is Hard Candy Silver...
4.7 gallon tank*
Nice bike!Did you try the other dynas before you decided to go with the streetbob?wideglide,lowrider...
Nice vid and your honesty on what you liked and dis-liked just wanted to know I'm 6ft 5 would this be a good size bike to get.
Do you think I'm to big for this bike? 6ft 240
I'm pretty tall like too tall for a sportster... Would this be a good first bike?
Del did you end up getting this bike?
I love my HD Dyna Street Bob, Wouldn't have wanted any other MC
You just can't beat a Dyna!
What kind of passenger seat is that?? Where did you get it??
PAPA Russell did you end up finding out?? I was about to ask him the same question
Are you still satified with your bike? In 2016 I want to buy a new Street Bob Special which loolks like yours.Sorry, my English isn't very well, I'm from Germany.
i was hoping to hear it, like you said drag bar would be better, beside that nice bike. what cc is it or cubic?
ang fig 1690cc
Hey bro I'm 6'2 and 280 built ....you think the street bob is to small ?
Johnny Anaya Well man your hight is fine I'm 6'2" as well and its comfortable. In weight I'm too sure only because I weigh 175 but I defiantly wouldn't consider it a deal breaker. I'd go to your local Harley dealer and give it a feel.
I've seen bigger men than you ride 883s
Well man I'm not sure I don't think it'll be to big for you but I'm not a 100%. If its your dream bike than I would probably go with it, but defiantly sit on a couple bikes before you decide to go with that one. check out some sportsters as well just for comparison.

Márcio Biaso it does. thanks man!
Nice bike man!
Can you lower this bike?
coolchecho Yes you can, by changing the two shocks in the back to shorter ones.
Great! Thanks!
Why would you want to though. I have a 13 fxdb and I raised mine more with ractech stuff. You want clearance to have it handle better. Each their own I guess
I'm about 5'4 and just wondering if I would need to lower it. I did ride a Ninja 250 for about 4 yrs
You'll be ok brother just keep it with mid controls for sure. You don't want to lower it
Did you purchase the p pad from Harley?
Yes sir.
@@brandonstaires2558 how much it was it ? did you get it brand new, 0 miles ?
thats reeeaaal sick for a first bike. My first Harley is an 06 sportster and i'm 6 foot, 297 pounds... I wish I could have afforded something as big as that.
Have you been giving it a good hard break in?
+Max Savino this ass more than likely doesnt know about breaking anything in
This is my dream bike, i love it but maybe its too big for me. i'm only 5'6.. What do you think?
CantStopCheapy Well man I'm not sure I don't think it'll be to big for you but I'm not a 100%. If its your dream bike than I would probably go with it, but defiantly sit on a couple bikes before you decide to go with that one. check out some sportsters as well just for comparison.
CantStopCheapy Im also 5' 6" and I have a street bob. you'll be fine.
+Abe Banerman haha
+John Anthony okay cool
+xdeadcheapx928 I'm 5'4 this is my dream bike, got it, LOVE IT!
hey dude...how tall are you?
Great video. How tall are you?
MrSpoony0815 Thanks man, im 6'2"
great bike ,had sports bikes all my life . now cruising .hopefully get some sunny days here in bonnie Scotland
HD street Bob love it
The most I've ridden is an 883 iron but I'm considering getting one of these brand new as my first bike.
I'll definitely be getting one of these this spring
breaking the tire loose = spinning instead of rolling(like a burnout). Loosing traction.
Nice! The streetbob the is Harley I would own if I could afford it. Looks great man. Are you happy with the performance?
Kent Porter Thanks man, yea I'm pretty happy with the performance over all.
I love it, but at 6'5" and 300 it's just a tad too tiny for me... All Harleys are these days.... Gotta use Victory.
+David Kelly Have you tried the FXDF (Fat Bob)? I'm 6'6 - 295#, and it's pretty comfortable. Comes with forward controls. Just depends if you're tall in the legs or torso.
Hey dude, I love this bike, but I'm 5'10. Do you think it would be too big for me? I don't wanna look like a child on it.
johnny3400 Whats up man, I think your gunna be fine on this bike. I would first go to a dealer and sit on one to see how you feel on it. Don't worry about what you look like, focus more what feels the best to you and get the bike that makes you feel like a child again all excited ready to go ridding when you look at it.
johnny3400 if you look like a child on a harley, you gotta be the most bad ass child there is :)
johnny3400 You will be fine. I have three inch extended forward controls on mine and my buddy that is 5'8" is able to ride it.
johnny3400 I'd go to a dealer and sit on a few bikes for comparison. You can get bikes that are made for people who aren't very tall. I'm not talking 5'10 either, I'm talking 5'6 and shorter. You can also get different seats to help with your reach for the handle bars. I'd tell you this, I test rode a completely stock '15 street bob and I'm about six foot tall. nice bike, i have to disagree with you on power tho, a 1200 sportster will out run any 103 any day any where.
***** why do you go out of your way to prove how ignorant you are? ignored.
***** is a pretty well known fact, the extra 500cc didn't get much in power department for the big twins and the combination of lighter weight and shorter gearing on the sporties make the 1200 the second fastest harley model in a straight line only after the v-rods which coincidentally is also 1200cc. but at the end of the day harley's are about the cruise more than speed, other wise we would of all be riding hayabusas right? cheers.
You should be a salesman
id get some real bobber handlebars. maybe make a bobber build out of one
How are you liking the bike man ? I'm seriously looking to buy this exact bike
Tim Yea man I really like the bike a lot. Not to big, not to small, has a nice sporty look to it, sounds great with the Vance & Hines. Overall im really happy with it.
sweet bike
Yeah why ???
Who likes short shorts?
I Like short shorts.
Only on Hot chicks though.lmao
I hate those bars. Other than that I really like these bikes.
If you get old and arthritic you wont like drag bars.
this bike is a devil, i got one , 2017 fxdb total black stage 1 and i love it
4.7 gallon gas tank
Fucking sweet bike, its pretty expensive though. I really liked the 48 but i think its simply too small for me so now the choice is between this or the Vrod..
StyrbjornStarke Yea I like the bike a lot, I was looking at the 48 when I was buying this one as well and it was just too small for me. That Vrod is a badass and a quick bike, a bit different in looks from the Street Bob. Its a couple grand more but its liquid cooled and good looking bike.
Yeah im 6,4 and the 48 is just too small, what i like about Street Bob is it has that classy Harley look but is bigger and more powerful.

+tomcata1467 that's a lot of typing. you have a lot to prove. I simply don't care i rode evo or twin or pan or shovel no Japanese cruisers that's simply a fkn joke . no reply needed keep rambling
We love short shorts! Ha

Drag bars bud drag bars....
Short Shorts look cool, but sound like shit. You'll get more torque with a two into one
That's your opinion. Many people like the sound of them.
Yeah, I am sure all of you weekend warriors love them. No matter what they sound like (obnoxious), they still rob the engine of torque.
I think you could have just said, "I bought a street Bob" then stand there and it's still cool.

That's not even close to a sporty bro. Don't do her like that
