Damn…what a haul, Bob. Nobody’s Fool is a great Newman film. BTW..Melanie Griffith goes topless in it. 😂. Needful Things is good. I liked the TV cut better.

I do have a question for you: are you buying the movies or buying the slipcovers? I love the slipcovers (the slips turn the editions from a "standard edition" to a nice "limited edition" collectors version. However, you mentioned buying a film you had seen before and you didn't even like it. You also bought a bunch of titles you said you don't know anything at all about them. I would advise being more careful with selections - and check out more of the Kino titles that don't necessarily come with slips, too. Kino releases tons of great titles.
I own a ton of other Kino Lorber titles. And I already own the majority of the titles that never came with a slipcover. Yeah I’m guilty of being suckered into buying a movie with a nice slipcover. But I do get around to the majority of my movies at some point.
If it's vinegar syndrome, I could understand getting excited about the slip covers but kino lober is literally the same artwork, 99% of the time. And there literally just paper. Some great movies though
The slips are really nice, though. The cardboard is thick and better quality than most slipcovers (such as those from major film studios). The spines also look great and uniform (with the original poster titles fonts on the spine (from the main image) instead of the standard white text on black from other Kino editions.
I totally understand. I just love collecting the slipcovers from Kino Lorber and I obviously collect it for the movie. I wouldn’t just buy a slipcover.

I just watched the Great Train Robbery and unfortunately, it was terrible. It's so bad, that I need to re-watch the last half of the movie because I'd like to physically understand how the heck I missed the part about there being an actual train robbery scene. For Connery, stick with Medicine Man, Entrapment, or Outland.

Wow! Now that's a haul and half!!! Silent Running is a fantastic Sci-Fi. Make sure you have a box of tissues by the side of you when you watch that one 😢 Marathon Man is an excellent and excruciating thriller. I have a soft spot for Mystery Men, ludicrously funny.
So you’re telling me Silent Running is sad. I love myself a depressing ending. And I’ve heard great things about Marathon Man.

Ryan from the disconnected who is a MUCH more knowledgeable person about this hobby explained to Bob last week why best buy leaving is a terrible thing yet Bob still does not care. This guy really must of been dropped on his head the way he wastes money not getting the best deals on anything and new he's gonna waste even more money once best buy goes out of the physical media market officially.
Great pickups with the 4k's from Kino Lorber. Especially Marathon Man. Big waste on most of the blu rays though since they could get 4k upgrades and if they don't that just means they are not good enough films to be worthy of that.
