  • 1620 STRETCH NYCO DOUBLE KNEE PANT [ Full Review ] [ The Boot Guy Reviews ]
    FIRST DAY IN THE 1620 Pants and Sweatshirt [ • ROAD TRIPS [ first loo... ]
    The toughest, most functional double knee work pant ever made is now available. Using our proprietary Stretch NYCO fabric created in partnership with industry leader Cordura®, this pant is a category changing, premium, American Made product . . . and the ultimate tool for your arsenal that you can wear every day.
    A more traditional feel than our pants made with, Tweave Durastretch fabric. For guys who want the look and feel of old-school canvas in their work pants, but still, want to have considerable technical advantages to traditional cotton duck canvas. The pant is fully DWR coated for oil, water and stain resistance. It also has 2% spandex for just enough stretch to reduce the likelihood of tears at critical fail points.
    The fit is a modern straight leg, fits over all boots. No box store workwear bagginess to get in your way. Not some skinny jeans that mess with your freedom of movement. Also, it received a huge thumbs up from our testers with how fast they dry. No more wet canvas, creeping up your leg while working in damp and rainy environments.
    You pay for quality, performance and technical features in the clothing you wear while hunting, fishing, skiing/snowboarding, hiking, riding ATV's or camping. It’s time for that same quality in the pants you wear 12 hours a day, 5 days a week.
    This pant is the future.

    Absolutely best pants I've ever owned. I actually love the back pockets . Their foundation pants have a front 5th pocket fits my Iphone perfectly.

    I bought a pair of single knee utility pants from 1620 and I love them. Outstanding quality and great for hiking and very durable.

      I just bought the single knee pants as well they don’t seem to feel the slightest bit stretchy at all tell me they loosen up a bit after a wear or two

    I love your reviews brother. One suggestion would be to have a link to the product you are talking about. I know I'd find that super helpful. Keep up the good work.

    If they made these with the back pockets with zips like their utility shorts, it would be pretty damn nice.

    Are these bonafide work pants? They look like pants for people who want the look. Sort of like Patagonia workwear.

    Awesome review as always! I’ve been struggling to find the perfect pair of work pants. The fact these aren’t a high waist baggy fitting work pant like 99% of workwear has me sold. For something I’d be wearing everyday I think this would be a solid investment.

    when you say use your best fitting Jean as a reference point , we just take the measuring points of that or do they actually let them know the brand and modal ?

      It's always best to offer more information when buying something impacting to your daily comfort. So,yes let them know about your favorite pair of pants.

    I'm a hvac/refrigeration tech so I work in so greasy nasty locations so what would be some good durable work jeans

      Someone in your field should look only at price. You could destroy a pair of pants the first day you wear them. So when they have Dickie work jeans for 19.99 you need to buy seven pairs. With that being said I love the 1620 pants. But, facts are facts and tinners and fitters beat the shit out of their pants.

      @ T Hint I’m in the same situation. Stuff gets dirty and greasy and abrasions.

    I see that they offer a Double Knee 2.0 pant. Any idea if that model addresses the issues you mention in your video? They are over $50 more than the model you demo here. Not sure what you get for the extra money. Maybe they are made from a different material? What does NYCO mean anyway?

      www.cordura.com/en/fabric/nyco-fabric.html I hope this helps with the nyco.

      Let me look at that pant ( the 2.0) I'll get back to you.

      Thanks for that. I did look around the 1620 site for info, but couldn't find any. I'll check out that link.
      I'd definitely be interested in the differences between the pant you reviewed, and the 2.0. I'll be buying one or the other at some point, just depends on which one I think will suit my needs best.

    • @maxfazz
      @maxfazz 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have you had a look at the 2.0 ? I really can't figure out differences between the two versions besides maybe the 2.0 don't have a hammer loop... bummer... Any more info? Thanks!

    Live down in Florida and do electrical service so it’s hot and a lot of crawling in tight attics and the other usual stuff. Looking for a tough pant but one that isn’t built for winter and breaths a bit. Any suggestions?

    • @ranger-if4nx
      @ranger-if4nx 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would check out 5.11 tactical. They make nice rip stop cargos, which are durable and slightly lighter than the duck material most heavy duty pants are made out of. Or I would just recommend any rip stop pant in general. They’re usually durable but lighter weight. Hope this helps
