I've really been enjoying these Minecraft history videos. There's a real grab-bag of interesting stuff to talk about, especially since the game has been so irrevocably tied to periodical content and community for its entire life. For that matter, it really surprised me that you apparently only started playing in 2017. It never fails to make me feel old knowing that this game has gone through multiple generations in the time since I started playing in Beta.
Honestly, this scenario reminds me of one game I have personally forked, & the game is called Yume 2kki. The game has a crazy story in of itself already, but many of the earlier builds are straight up missing and it fills me with dread every time I look at some of the versions that are missing. I used to document some of the history but kinda went on hiatus for it, but there are some crazy things I wish to see in person in those missing releases. Minecraft is admittedly no different. Hope lost versions of it get found one day.
Well I looked through my files and got distracted by my old world, I actually started crying because I missed all the fun. Now days Minecraft just consist of people that grief, or that are heavily toxic.
Thanks for not finding my old kindle fire till now, I finally got to see my minecraft, it stopped updating in alpha 0.8.6. That Sure was a trip down memory lane. I still play minecraft in my 3ds from time to time and it's still a neat way to play minecraft in 1.12
There is an ARG about a version of minecraft that branched out of the main game before alpha 1.0.17 which is alpha 1.0.16_01 until _6 . People call it Minecraft Lilypad. It's in a channel called Minecraft Alpha 1.0.16 videos. Please correct me if I'm wrong
7:00 I mean they only really started trying to archive all the versions a couple of years ago, I think antvenom made a good video about the group that started the search.
They found it bc of a tweet that said "just got the new Minecraft update" and the date said September 18 2010, the same date of the update. The person was tracked down and miraculously, the account was still running
Modding bedrock shows that there are still traces of pocket edition within the code, you can get things like the nether core, and even glowing obsidian! I managed this by modding the save and changing the values of the items by seemingly random and I found them
I want a Minecraft museum where it’s everywhere and it tells us facts about mobs and how they were created and old stuff that would bring people into nostalgia world.. I miss the old Minecraft :(
I have an interesting history with the game Minecraft. I first heard of the game in October of 2010 from someone my sister knew. I thought it was the coolest thing. I didn't play Minecraft until 2012, about 2 years later though. And I didn't create my account until the start of 2013.

I swear on my life there was an old build of Minecraft pocket edition for the kindle with a unique block, forgot the name but it was dark blue like lapis, and had a crescent moon and stars on it, it’s such a vivid memory since I’d use it all the time for making fake skyboxes
MinecraftEDU, yeah. I actually talked about that in my last stream, I discovered it while doing some research on these lost versions. Though technically, it just morphed into Education Edition, and I don't think there were much real changes other than porting to a different platform
@@mcbyt true. Although it had more mod support as it used java instead of bedrock. Would be interesting to see someone make a video about it since I don't think you can get it any more.

I have seen the old stone cutter in the latest version of bedrock edition. There is a map for free you can download called the "redstone mansion" in one of the rooms there is an old stonecutter that can be block picked.
Very very interesting. I imagine it must be using a resource pack or addon, since to my knowledge, the code for the original Stonecutter was removed long ago
@@mcbyt it doesn't work anymore but you can have the new one and old one right next to each other.if only you could send images on youtube then i could show you.
actually, you can still get pocket edition by downloading the specific versions off of the internet. i used to do that all the time until i got a virus lol
I don't think it's a resource pack, it was made with after effects exclusively as a video. But it may be possible to turn a video into a resource pack logo... not sure.
Hey MCBYT i’m actually just here to ask a question, it’s on your migration video, so basically I’ve been playing on Mac for over 5 years, and now there’s a Microsoft migration, will i need a windows to play Minecraft from now on? Since it’s a Microsoft migration?
Hi, can anyone help me find this Minecraft video? Because I'm not a native-English speaker and when I watched it, I was young so sadly I couldn't understand most of the content it said. But based on the scenes happening in the video, I can presume the general content of the video. The video is titled "Love in Minecraft" and it has some episodes. If I' not wrong, the video has over 1 million views, which is high but for some reason, I can't find it anywhere. It talked about the story of a couple in Minecraft, a woman and a man. The woman was kidnapped by some type of god or deity in the Nether and maybe he wanted to marry the woman (I remember the scene when the woman was on a bed in the Nether, and the god was talking about something that I didn't understand. Looking back, the scene was pretty sexual but because I was young I didn't know that). The god tried to convince the woman to marry him, but she denied. So, her boyfriend had to rescue her and I still remember that in the end, the two watched fireworks together. If you can find it, I will forever be grateful because it's part of my childhood and I want to watch it again when I'm older. Thank you
