I had a 2004 X. It was my first dirt bike I bought in 2012. I loved that bike. Unfortunately, I didn't know to ask about prior maintenance and rebuilds so a couple of years ago, I had the top end redone by a local and well respected shop. 30 hours later, a valve sunk ruining the piston, head, valves, etc.... I sold the bike for $800 to a guy as his project bike. I hope he got it running again. That bike just felt like 'home' every time I got on it. Enjoy your bike, they're great.
@@nalyd6386 -- Not sure if you’re implying anything about strict maintenance. Oils changed every 2-3 rides, along with air filter cleans, and oils filter changed every two oil changed. I think I did maintain the bike well.
@@billveder1071 Yes, they are good bikes. E-start is nice as well. Good easy going trail bikes. I just didn't like it for riding slow, technical trails. CRF230F is a great trail bike as well, with less maintenance. If you watch some of my video's you'll see I've had a lot of bikes. I have fun on pretty much any bike. I'd just look for a good deal on a bike whether it be a 4 stroke or 2 stroke. Have fun!!!
Looks like fun riding. I am seriously considering getting one of these bikes. I have own an xr200r now and it is great, but I am looking for something with more power and overall performance. My 200r still has drum brakes on it haha.
It's nice for a 4 stroke. It's a nice mix of a 4 stroke MX bike and a mellow trail bike. I just prefer 2 strokes more. Planning to take it for a ride this weekend!
250X for sure man, used to have a 2014 230f and it was a cool little trail bike but This year I bought a 2014 250X and it’s been the best decision I’ve made in a long time
Nope. I got it running well and jetted it with the James Dean jet kit and all the mods. Ran great! The bike just wasn't a good fit for me so I sold it.
I had wanted a CRFX for a few years. I always thought they would be a nice ride. Bought this one because it was a good deal. It was horrible for slow speed technical riding. My RMZ250 was better at riding slow then this CRFX. That's why I sold it. If you only want to ride relatively easy and medium speed trails it would be good for that, but so is most any bike. The Husqvarna is awesome!
@@Enduro.Trials Here in mexico are selling me a very nice condition and shape (as new) crfx 450cc 2009 in $3300 dlls, and a husqvarna 2006 in good condition in $2200. i own 3 hondas xr250 and xr200 and i love them. Im afraid to change to husqvarna,

I bought an ‘06, first bike I got for myself in 35 years, I love it

Hy, she is beautiful, and look runs well. But I think she is a little noisy, for a new bike. Good rides. Kris.
This is Kansas rocks!!
That might have been your first ride on that bike but if definitely wasn't your first time riding a bike. Good job!
You are correct.
@@Enduro.Trials Do you think the honda 250 crf X would be OK for an old guy getting back into a dirt bike?

The CRF will have more power and better suspension. It's a great bike in midrange power, but it does not like to go slow in the technical stuff.
Nice bike bro. I have the same make and model. Only thing I've noticed is that some 04s have a headlight and some do not. Mine doesn't lol
Eternal Tyrus you can put the CYCRA stadium plate on. I have an 06 with a CYCRA and just switch when when wvwr I want

I'm rebuilding the top end of mine right now and it's costing me about 600 CAD
How many CC’s is this bike.
250cc 4 stroke
If you can't work out how many cc a 250x has you can't have one
Its 250 but it have 30 hp so its not as powerful as 250r or wr250 or something else. So its nice bike for begginers.
