It’s gotta be a night to night thing. I saw him last weekend on Saturday evening. 2 show day. He opted out of the high C on “well, I know” but the run and the hold on “past” with the belt was spectacular! As was For Her; only tea and my green light. This was definitely my “Santa fe” moment and it was so worth the 12 year wait.
I think that’s how it was written wasn’t it? That’s how I heard it when I saw it on my birthday. And the composer Jason Howland was conducting that night, maybe he didn’t want to have it optioned up?
When Gatsby said ‘Money can’t buy happiness, no sir but it brings you closer and closer and closer’ he was so based for that
I GOT SOOOOOO
MUCH CHILLS HEARING JERJOR SING THIS LIVE
(I love your profile and the name btw) I agree he is such an amazing singer
My jaw was on the floor
@@angeliad same!!!
So interesting to hear his opt down on 'I know what I see' compared to the album.
He sounds tired honestly. The whole song is very reserved compared to the recorded track
It’s also interesting, because when I saw him very very recently, he definitely hit the high C
It’s a night to night thing, a decision made in the moment the voice is a muscle and perfect technique does not protect you from fatigue
