- Andy Stewart (KB1OIQ) has created a software collection for ham radio operators called "Andy's Ham Radio Linux". It is based on Ubuntu Linux, with a lot of additional software for ham radio use. In this talk, Andy will discuss at a high level the different programs which are available in this software collection. Andy has been distributing this software on Sourceforge since 2011, with over 100,000 downloads to date.
Hello Andy! Thank you for including and mentioning wfview (26:30). Yes indeed, wfview can run as a server on a Pi which can then be accessed via a remote computer running wfview for remote radio control, audio, spectrum, etc. We support many older radios, although the feature set varies considerably. Our website is easy to find and we are always pleased to hear from linux users.
Ham Radio is the Original Open Source hobby, and people like Andy Stewart are keeping that flame burning! Thanks again!

This is fantastic! Thank you for sharing this information and for creating and maintaining your Linux distro. I am a long time Linux user and I have been a General Operator for 11 months. I love this hobby. I am going to install your operating system on a laptop today and put it to work. You have given me a good weekend project. Thank you DARA for all of the videos that you have uploaded. I will spend the day watching them. I have never been to a Dayton Hamvention. I hope to next year. 73. KM4MMD

Thank you Andy. This is really great.
Need to add Winlink (PatWinlink),Vara, Vara AC as well.,
Do you think your software will work on Linux Mint 20, 21, or 22? What changes in your Xubuntu installer would need to change to support these LM O/S Versions?
I’m interested in setting up 10 meter beacon. Have a 10 meter radio and pi 4 Lenox
Why sourceforge?
