    you, my friend, have said it perfectly. i am a pianist who enjoys nothing more than to sit at a grand and just play away, but i have an m50-88 and love dream theater and shredding synth. thank you.

    I notice that Korg put this same backing track into the Triton Extreme demo package, so that you can pretend you're Jordan at home, even if you could "only" afford a new $2000 Triton Extreme, instead of a new $8000 OASYS. :)

    As far as I know, Jordan Rudess IS a classically trained pianist :P
    But fortunate for us, he switch to keyboards instead :)

    "Ra" was written in inspiration of Jordan's own life. Yeah. He's the sun.

    it's the same sound. depending on the synth you use.. not all synths are just the same as you view them.

    Jordan was invited to play on David Bowie's Heathen album because he's
    Just
    That
    Good.
    Yeah, he gets carried away sometimes, but he has very few peers. Jack Hotop happens to be one of them. Did I say he was just that good? They both are. ;-)

    jordan rudess plays serious music too, but in the music industry there most be show to keep attention to the audience thats why play those music parts he do. but if you go to his forum he learn you all he shows you in his shows on namm and on his consert. so good luck copy him, i have no luck, but i play on my skills

  • @DTRemcoG
    @DTRemcoG 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    But there are good reasons for it. Because a digital piano sound will not be as expressive as a good piano. A synth only has got like 128 velocity layers. And it just always sounds worse then a real piano. So classical pianists just choose what works best for them, which is an acoustic (grand)piano.

  • @AkIChAn432
    @AkIChAn432 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    at least for me, rudess is the best keyboardist, and ra is my favorite song from him so... if that is "crap" what is "good" then?
    btw.. i dont consider it show music, they do complex music because they know how to.. and they have fun while playing

    but it is not a software synth.... Some players don't rely on softsynths especially when playing live. The hardware world has more limitations than the software world so that's why most of the HW synths doesn't sound as good as some softsynths.
