What do you guys think about the KZ castor extra bass version? Would it be a good purchase for someone looking for great bass and also how good it would be overall in movies and also games. Your views would help me in my purchase decision.
The KZ Castor Extra Bass version is a solid choice if you're looking for excellent bass performance. It delivers deep and impactful bass that many users enjoy. However, when it comes to movies and gaming, they should sound decent for movie watching, but they might not be the best-suited option for gaming due to their emphasis on bass.
Get the KZ Castor Pro (Bass Version), while playing games, do make a gaming EQ profile to hear every detail. Why? It's difficult for one pair of IEM to meet all your expectations (without EQ) especially if the budget is tight.
I was using blon bl03(without dac) it was a very good beginner iem but i felt it was littlebit low on bass and bit sharp for me, so i want to upgrade and confused which suites me, 1. Truthear crinacle zero red+fiio ka13+tripowin 2.moondrop aria2 +dac? (I had to compromise on its design) 3.truthear hexa+shanling ua4+ tripowin. Iam using oppo enco x2 which suits me exactly but lacks some detail as compared to iem but it is verygood how ever it wont be as good as a wired iem. Please suggest me one of the above iem or anything else?
Absolutely! You can indeed opt for the EMI option. Rest assured, it's a safe and convenient way to make your purchase without any worries about getting scammed. Enjoy your new gear!
Yeah you were right about being a seasoned listener I have a few IEMs myself so I wanted to see what the fuss was about I agree with what you said about the hexa but I noticed that at hi value they got a little harsh on the treble side for me left me with bit of treble ear
Great review this time, i hope to be buying them this around end of this year. One of the few times where a review changed my mind when i thought i preferred something over anything. Given my current 7hz zeros the aria2 seem better because of their more enjoyable tuning over the analytical one of the hexa although in the first place i thought i wanted absolute neutrality😅. Combine with the cable and the hard case and the looks they seem to be good for the long run which i plan for. Hope they'll be available for purchase around Diwali. Thanks again for the comparison!

It's hard to find an IEM that's exactly like the Sennheiser CX 180, but most IEMs are going to sound significantly better because they're tuned differently.

Thank you for your suggestion! We're currently working on incorporating gaming aspects into our videos, so stay tuned for that. As for your question, between the Aria 2 and Hexa for gaming, we'd recommend going with the Hexa. It offers a good balance of audio quality and performance, making it ideal for gaming sessions.

For competitive gaming, it's essential to have IEMs that can provide precise audio cues. While the options under 1000rs are limited, you might want to consider increasing your budget slightly to get IEMs that can enhance your gaming experience. However, if you're still constrained by your budget, the KZ - EDX Pro could be a decent choice within your price range. Keep in mind that investing a bit more can often make a significant difference in your gaming performance.
Aditya, See Crinacle's video for gaming headphones, your question will be answered. I am a gamer too CS2, Valo etc.. Trust me your gaming skill and practice has more to do than listening to audio cues. Just take any headphone for gaming. I use eksa e900. Headphones are better than iems for gaming because you will get a better wider sound stage there. Don't go for iems, they are waste.
The Moondrop - CHU 2 Type-C offers DSP capabilities, allowing you to tweak the frequency response through the app. On the other hand, the 3.5mm CHU 2 does not have this feature. So, it ultimately depends on whether you prefer the flexibility of DSP tuning or not. Hope this helps!
Absolutely! The Truthear Hexa performs well for gaming, providing immersive sound quality and clear audio cues that enhance your gaming experience. It's a great choice for gaming sessions! 🎮
Aria has 1 dd, hexa has 1dd and 3 ba...so my doubt is...how do they fall in similar price segment...is aria's hardware way superior compared to hexa or it it the tuning they are charging for...1ba drivers in themselves are more expensive than 1dd in some iems???
In the world of IEMs, the price often reflects the quality of the drivers and the tuning. While the number of drivers matters, it's not the sole determinant of performance. Factors like the quality of the drivers, their tuning, and other components all contribute to the overall sound quality. Rule of thumb. If you take care of something, it will last as long as it can. That being said, no one should be walking around swinging their IEMs and banging them into things so while some rely on build quality, at the end of the day, the better sounding IEM should win. Sadly Moondrop has absolute crap QC and their reviews are getting worse and worse with so many complaints about the Moondrop Aria 2 Left and Right speakers just completely dying in the first 30 days of use and their return policy is junk. At the end of the day, it also depends on what you're going to be using these IEMs for. Music, gaming, videos etc. And the type of music you listen to matters as well being it classical, piano, jazz etc. or pop, techno, house, metal, rock etc. you'll have different better sounds with different IEMs. Your best bet is just do your homework at the end of the day, you'll probably find yourself using different IEMs anyway based on what you're using them for so build a collection and find what is best for your ears.
