So I stumbled accross your channel a few days ago and have been binge watching them and I have to say I never thought I would be into a channel 2000+ miles away moving dirt and tree stumps. Thank you for sharing.
Destruction of trees, the sound of gravel being moved by metal, and a possible fire! Could anything in life be better? Yes, if you would of had time to start the fire!!!!! Enjoyed the video! Stay healthy! Kevin
Looks like your going into the lumber biz with all those logs !!!! Think you will be able to see that fire from the space station. Now that's a fire !!!!
100% agree on the rock clatter sound, probably comes back to childhood memories being at my uncle's quarry as the conveyor pilled fresh crushings just like a huge downpour of heavy rain on an all tin roof i guess.
You sure do got the thumb down like you said who needs a hydraulic thumb old girl sure is a beast nice job Chris sure looks better after tearing out some trees and brush keep the videos coming 😎👍👍
When you say u love that sound made me think about another sound ya gotta love. Dumping 150 tons of fresh dug mammoth coal. Sounds like a million coke bottles breaking
Looks like the start of your Agrarian Revolution... We did that in the UK in the 1750s, but did not record it on video.... Looking forward to seeing you do some ploughing.
Hey Chris, so obviously there is enough soil there to set up a pit. How many loads are you hoping for out of that? It's hard to tell the scale of that pit but the soil looks great. Another great video ..thx
Y'all must have plenty of topsoil there. Here we usually put clay or just good dirt, then just cap w topsoil. Glad to see ol 200 working nice 4 u man!!
Chris does your bucket curl have enough force to damage the thumb? While it looks robust enough just curious. That could have been a lot of firewood for somebody. That old "rotten stuff" as you called it is money in the bank or money in the bag if you can screen it and bag it up. Our local saw mills closed many years ago but I remember as a kid farmers would go there and buy loads of shavings for their hog farrowing houses. It was used for bedding material for the hogs when they had pigs. We would clean out the houses and spread the stuff. Was good fertilizer and land builder. That area of the yard will be a lot better when you get through. How old is that lumber yard?
Hi chris really like your vids Have been watching you for a long while from the uk ? Heres the grab i think the Hitachi needs a little pant touch up,When you get a bit of time, Have a good day all the best Andrew from uk
Chris, you make it look so easy. When you were born was your playpen an excavator cab with controls. Mr. Smoooooth Operator. Thank GOD you post all your videos. I wish they were longer because they go fast for me. Man I could watch your videos for hours. I like ALL of your vids.
aCn you do a tug of war between the Volvo and Hitachi - can you pull the hitachi out of some situation if needed - also you should look for a old hydraulic cylinder and hydraulic lines, buy a valve, a solenoid and get a extra button put in your controlls You probably can source almost all you need from some scrapyard equipment, install it yourself and get the thumb hydraulic - you also can install a tilting bucket, a concrete grinder or a hammer and even a cable winch to work as a crane once you got the lines put in place
Chris I got a question for ya.. which machine do you like better, the volvo or Hitachi?? I know the volvo is newer, just curious.. I'm sure they both have their perks to them.
After watching the mighty Yanmar struggle pushing a stump around, you understand the power of the big boy Hitachi. Wonder if that fixed jaw is better than the hydraulic ones on the Volvo's?

Omg, so true!!
I like the tripod!!! I love hearing the engine and the tracks moving around, and the strength of the beast. and the commentary when necessary.

You do a great job every time. Fascinating to watch your technique. Thanks for the great videos.
I love that sound too. When you scoop the stones up it sounds like the waves on a pebbly beach. Perfect. Cornwall UK.
The sound of the rock was awesome, great video !
You make the videos the way you want.I myself enjoy watching and I will never complain.
Looks like your going into the lumber biz with all those logs !!!! Think you will be able to see that fire from the space station. Now that's a fire !!!!
I agree! I love the sound of the bucket moving rocks!
I like watching you clearing and burning , I like the Hitachi too!
That thumb clangs and bangs but the damn thing works like a charm!
Please make a video of the screening of the soil. 👍😁

I love the sound of that stone also. Sound is addictive. Gravel sounds good too.
You sure do got the thumb down like you said who needs a hydraulic thumb old girl sure is a beast nice job Chris sure looks better after tearing out some trees and brush keep the videos coming 😎👍👍
It must be fun to work in a profession that lets you play while working. Great videos!
I figured Jack would have had that done for you? That special training session you gave him.
Hi Chris I noticed that thumb is stamped geith made here in Ireland they make great quick couplers and attachments
When you say u love that sound made me think about another sound ya gotta love. Dumping 150 tons of fresh dug mammoth coal. Sounds like a million coke bottles breaking
That looked like amazing dryish firewood
The Hitachi is a beast. Ripping trees with no effort.
volvo is better
@@johndeere3325 strange with a user name of John Deere saying Volvo is better than Hitachi since John Deere excavators are made by Hitachi.
Looks like the start of your Agrarian Revolution... We did that in the UK in the 1750s, but did not record it on video.... Looking forward to seeing you do some ploughing.
That is going to be a big fire Chris . Good job on the video thank you for sharing
Where I'm from, we put everything thru a chipper. Not allowed to burn it.

Im hoping to screen 1000 yards
@@letsdig18 LOL Damn no wonder you're putting time into this. Nice find. Does Tim know he has to put it in bags yet? jk lol
Love the Hitachi. I've got midi size model. They are strong and the controls are very responsive.
I can hear that fire cracking and popping already!!
Y'all must have plenty of topsoil there. Here we usually put clay or just good dirt, then just cap w topsoil. Glad to see ol 200 working nice 4 u man!!
Can’t wait to see that big fire

Looks like great dirt for matters
Never really noticed before. Love the design of the windshield wiper. Completely out of the way!!
Chris, what would you like to buy equipment wise in the future? You seem to be set up on all areas but there is always something out there to get?
This is best pile for burning and will burn very well. PLEASE make video about burning. I love it!
Thx for video!
That's gonna be one hell of a fire!!
ALRIGHT! Cant wait for the fire!
Smashing them trees! Makes my day
Ole besty is still doing a good job
It’s funny you say “I love that sound” about 1 minute after I said it. It’s music to my ears.
Playing this at 2x speed and Chris and the machine are awesome.
Dirt falling from the bucket looks like blood dripping from the mouth of the Hitachisaurus.
Sure tidied that are up bro, digger is still running sweet too. Stay safe
Boy that pile of stuff would make a big hot ass fire.
You need a clip on cutting edge for that bucket, for these types of jobs, or a mud bucket
It's always a good day when the fire pile is ready lol
Surprising there are no snakes in all the wood!
the bob ross of road building :)
"There gonna have a nice little road in here"
oh great---now how am I going to un-see Chris in a afro in my mind ? huh ?
@@SailorAllan
NEVER 🤯🤯🤯
He’s tearing down all the happy little trees.
This seems like a good job for a excavator with a dozer blade . Nice job chris.
At first I thought that fixed thumb looked pretty aggravating, but seeing it in action is a different story.
I love a good thumb and bucket.
Hi chris really like your vids Have been watching you for a long while from the uk ? Heres the grab i think the Hitachi needs a little pant touch up,When you get a bit of time, Have a good day all the best Andrew from uk
There is something satisfying about the sound of rock clattering as it falls.
It would be cool to see them make presto fire logs out of that saw dust.
Rock. One of the many sounds of $. 👍
Would be nice to upgrade that hitachi with a new bucket and a hydraulic thumb. Is that in your bucket list?
Love the video Chris .
My goodness you cutting all the tree's, i hope there's some trees left when i go NC
you should track in the stone and get a mat and some gravel over it
@thecouchtripper your welcome
@thecouchtripper whats sarcastic ? you mean sadistic?

Wouldn't a blade been a better choice to scrape down that roadbed and push that compost to a pile?
That's a good lookin piece of equipment u have keep up with the excellent videos
Do you have many heating systems there using pelletised wood?
That might be a good use for those logs.
did the sawmill close, or just rent the space out to the oil company? and want more space
Damn good video Chris but I got a question how’s the pipeline crew went back to work yet??
Light it up
Light it up
Light it up!!!!!!!!!
So do you work for your family's company during the week and for yourself on the weekends? I'm just curious .
aCn you do a tug of war between the Volvo and Hitachi - can you pull the hitachi out of some situation if needed - also you should look for a old hydraulic cylinder and hydraulic lines, buy a valve, a solenoid and get a extra button put in your controlls

You can get used to working with a fixed thumb and it's about as good for most jobs.
A hydraulic thumb U could hold onto alt more instead of using gravity
Towards the end of video: "Hey, nice rocks ASMR video!" Haha!
At the end of a long day, do you ever feel the urge to climb out of the cab and ski down the boom yelling Yabba Dabba Doo! ?
Great video as usual. Speaking of thumbs, are your Volvos running Volvo thumbs or are they aftermarket? I sure would like that style on my JD.
CP bucket and thumbs
You should put the wood ash from your fire in that dirt pile you're building...
Jackal's Outdoor Channel fortified top aoil ( minerals added!)
I bet that decomposed crap would make for a great soil amendment, you should get it tested to determine if valuable.
What size stone is surge in your area? My quarry it is 6-12” with fines in it
2-5"
They will see that fire from outer space...
Chris I got a question for ya.. which machine do you like better, the volvo or Hitachi?? I know the volvo is newer, just curious.. I'm sure they both have their perks to them.
Where is the volvos? I drive a 220E ever day in denmark. I also hafe a 145E, L60H, L90H and L120H
This is his personal machine...the Volvos are company machines
Do you use a gopro for most of your filming?
Orange Hitachi Good.
I'd love to have about 60 loads of that good dirt.
My land is old farm land and is full of ankle breakers. It would be good to fill in all those places.
After watching the mighty Yanmar struggle pushing a stump around, you understand the power of the big boy Hitachi. Wonder if that fixed jaw is better than the hydraulic ones on the Volvo's?
Burn pretty good? You may feel that in the next county.
Probly coulda moved that stone better with a dragline or a concretepump!
Tim Skiff , great comment 😂😂😂
Nah, do not need either, just a leaf blower❗
The way you say I love that sound you must of liked the sound of bee king glass as kid😂
The sound of rock and trees snapping is a toss up which is more enjoyable to listen to.
First it's Dirt Perfect dredging a pond, Upstate brush control grading a building plot, now this, the worlds gone mad, mad i say.
are you hired for the job or have you joined the owner side or something of the sawmill? you've been there alot lately
there a lot of work to do around there haha
Lotta dirt going in that pile
What.... you still have the strap on? Nice!!!!
with a topsoil screen, you would be sitting on a black gold mine............lol
AMAZING
good video
What size of rock is that that you're laying
can you put an hydraulic thumb on the hitachi ?? if so looks like it wood be money well spent!
Any body know what he means by this machine having a manual thumb? Heard this in another video but do not remember which one.
Do you ever try to move your thumb on the controls ,Thinking your in the 250 at work?
nope
Have you thought about getting a mic so when you put the camera down you can still give commentary?
So be honest how many times do you push the button for the mechanical thumb? Haha
We need another video of you cussing Deere Controls 😂
Rocks, extreme asmr :D
