Haha love the honesty, thank you very much for that. Funny thing is that I don't look at it like I'm replacing someone. I know nothing lasts forever and for me it's all about showing my respect to what Sebastian did on the first albums when I sing those songs. Hell... as a fan I wouldn't mind a reunion! But for now I'll just do the best I can with what I have.

Been a Skid Row fan since literally just about day one. Saw the debut video on MTV and became an instant fan. After Bach left I checked out. BUT! long story short.... you brought me back to the band! Erik, your work in HEAT opened me to a whole bunch of music I didn't know I was missing. I was talking to a friend in 2017, saying "I wonder if anybody still makes the 80s hard rock I love so much". Did a Google search and there was a top 10 list. On that list was "It's All About Tonight". Within about 10 seconds, I KNEW. I went down a rabbit hole thanks to the Heavy Harmonies forum. HEAT, Eclipse, Sunstorm, Jorn, and a bunch of other groups. I'm finding more new music now than I did 30 years ago. And it all started with that opening riff. So, thank you. Congrats on the Skid Row gig and I'm so glad your health has returned.

I so much for what you have to go through in life itself to get tested to make sure you’re okay every day I understand where you’re coming from mate my mother, she passed away from school cell cancer, priming the lung second of the brain, my uncle passed away with cancer I have cardiovascular disease. I have kidney disease, but I live each day at a time that’s all I can do. I can’t do anything else. I will not go on dialysis because I know what dialysis does cause my partners father was on dialysis, and I do not want to go through the same thing he went through. It was just prolonging life I’d rather go in one big bang mate as a Welshman as a Welshman. I want to live my life to the fullest as I possibly can, but sometimes deals you different Directions that you do not want to go it’s one of those things that happens in life and unfortunately it’s a real bitch mate you have life ahead of you you’re young and you’re strong and I hope you all the best in the world mate my doctors have said to me well Carl he won’t live long if you don’t go on dialysis and I said to them, did you not hear me? I do not want to go on dialysis for what my partners father went through again I am a gay male but that doesn’t make a difference we still human. I just wanna make sure my dogs and my cat safe after I go that’s all that matters to me for I love animals I’m an animal lover. Sebastian Bach was part of an era of Skid Row, and that era is in the past. I really like his solo career, I go to shows... but Skid Row found the best vocalist for the new era, You: sings with the energy that sets the stage on fire, powerful voice, incredible timbre, does drives and a clean voice when he wants , he's drop dead gorgeous (which is a bonus) and is also super attentive to his fans! I just want to say when I first heard you were singing for Skid Row, a band I grew up listing to as a teen, I did not know what to make of you. You were obviously no Sebastian stylistically. You have your own thing. Then I started seeing the covers you were doing, and it did not take long for me to become a fan of yours and then equally embraced what you bring to Skid Row. All that being said, my respect for you has just grown leaps and bounds by your answer to the question about being compared to SB and have you spoken with him. Well said sir and way to keep it real. I used to listen to Skid Row a lot, but after Bach left, my journey of interrest went on an other path. My heart is filled with joy after you joined Skid Row. I must say that was a good decition by the band. I am not getting younger, but I felt like 18 again. Take care, stay cool.

Congrats on beating cancer. I never had to go through chemotherapy but I did lose my left kidney to renal cancer 3 years ago. Hope everything goes well for you and hears to a long future. I like also Thickskin, its really cool ! But my third kickass with Skid Row was The Gang's All Here. I thought : Here we go again ! This title kills ! And songs like Time Bomb, The Gang's All Here or Tear It Down are as strong as 18 And Life, Slave To The Grind or I Remember You. You, Erik, are simply the right man in the right place ! I became a huge Skid Row fan as a 10 year old metal head back in 1990, and as time went on and Bach left, I kind of stopped paying attention when new singers joined (though I still listened to the first 3 albums regularly). I heard that you had joined, and was like "ok, just another singer to fill in...", and then I heard you, and holy shit you are incredible and a perfect fit for the band, and have given Skid Row a second life, something I never thought was possible.
You are a blessing. That voice is superhuman. And you're a really nice guy too. I wish you tremendous success and I'm here for your journey! Enjoy every moment!

I 100% agree with you on how cancer/leukemia can change your outlook on life. I have for most of my life been a negative person. Always moaning about trivial shit. Always expecting the worst. When I was diagnosed with blood cancer after what was a complete misfire of my brain (I won't go into the details as that's all on my channel if you feel like watching it), my initial reaction when I was told was "Ok, fair enough. Now what do we do?" ... I was so calm and laid back about it all. All through the treatment I remained positive, cracking jokes, laughing with the nurses and just generally being chill, and I think that attitude helped the treatment work better. Since it's all been done and dusted, had the stem cell transplant , got the all clear, my outlook on life has totally changed. I don't want to do a job I hate, working my fingers to the bone for money. I would rather do something I enjoy for less money and have a more relaxed life. I don't let shit stress me out. I don't see everything negatively anymore. I am not religious or spiritual, but I am certainly more at peace with myself and life in general (although I do still have gamer rage ha ha)

I ran into Sebastian Bach when a friend and I were bored and decided to walk down Hollywood Blvd. I was in my teens and he had just walked out of a bar. The bar was literally one door that led out onto the blvd. No signs above the door and no line to get into the bar. He walked out by himself. I told my friend “Hey that's Sebastian Bach!” and I turned in the direction he was going. My friend talked me out of following him or this would have been a much different story to tell. I had a huge crush on him back then in my teen years. He is still easy on the eyes. That night he looked sad with his head hung low as he walked alone in the evening night sky. I had an overwhelming sense that he was very sad, but I will never know why.
I appreciate your take on the Skid Row's songs. I've said it before. Skid Row has captured lightning in bottle twice with you and Sebastian. Thank you for the respect you show for the original song, but put yourself into them. As a musician myself I find that great otherwise your are a karaoke band. No offense to the other singers Skid Row has had they aren't you or Sebastian, yep, haha, before you that I never thought I'd say. It's Skid Row again. No offense to Mr. Bach; you have me torn. Also, love your covers you do too! Please keep them coming! Watching videos of people post live videos of recent Skid Row shows encourages me to play again. Erik, your work in HEAT opened me to a whole bunch of music I didn't know I was missing.
I was talking to a friend in 2017, saying "I wonder if anybody still makes the 80s hard rock I love so much". Did a Google search and there was a top 10 list. On that list was "It's All About Tonight". Within about 10 seconds, I KNEW.
I went down a rabbit hole thanks to the Heavy Harmonies forum. HEAT, Eclipse, Sunstorm, Jorn, and a bunch of other groups. I'm finding more new music now than I did 30 years ago.
And it all started with that opening riff.

Mate, I so much applaud you for what you’ve gone through. I so much love for what you’ve had the strength to go through. I so much for what you have to go through in life itself to get tested to make sure you’re okay every day I understand where you’re coming from mate my mother, she passed away from school cell cancer, priming the lung second of the brain, my uncle passed away with cancer I have cardiovascular disease. I have kidney disease, but I live each day at a time that’s all I can do. I can’t do anything else. I will not go on dialysis because I know what dialysis does cause my partners father was on dialysis, and I do not want to go through the same thing he went through. It was just prolonging life I’d rather go in one big bang mate as a Welshman as a Welshman. I want to live my life to the fullest as I possibly can, but sometimes deals you different Directions that you do not want to go it’s one of those things that happens in life and unfortunately it’s a real bitch mate you have life ahead of you you’re young and you’re strong and I hope you all the best in the world mate my doctors have said to me well Carl he won’t live long if you don’t go on dialysis and I said to them, did you not hear me? I do not want to go on dialysis for what my partners father went through again I am a gay male but that doesn’t make a difference we still human. I just wanna make sure my dogs and my cat safe after I go that’s all that matters to me for I love animals I’m an animal lover. I volunteer my time, my volunteer money over to WWF to help them save those not do what we are doing to them. Sebastian Bach was part of an era
of Skid Row, and that era is in the past. I really like his solo career, I go to shows... but Skid Row found the best vocalist for the new era, You: sings with the energy that sets the stage on fire, powerful voice, incredible timbre, does drives and a clean voice when he wants , he's drop dead gorgeous (which is a bonus) and is also super attentive to his fans! This place is super deserved by you!! 🔥🤘

I just want to say when I first heard you were singing for Skid Row, a band I grew up listing to as a teen, I did not know what to make of you. You were obviously no Sebastian stylistically. You have your own thing. Then I started seeing the covers you were doing, and it did not take long for me to become a fan of yours and then equally embraced what you bring to Skid Row.
All that being said, my respect for you has just grown leaps and bounds by your answer to the question about being compared to SB and have you spoken with him. Well said sir and way to keep it real. I hope you always have your head screwed on straight and humility in check as you do now. I'm just very impressed with the way you comport yourself.

I used to listen to Skid Row a lot, but after Bach left, my journey of interrest went on an other path. My heart is filled with joy after you joined Skid Row. I must say that was a good decition by the band. I am not getting younger, but I felt like 18 again. Take care, stay cool.

Congrats on beating cancer. I never had to go through chemotherapy but I did lose my left kidney to renal cancer 3 years ago. Hope everything goes well for you and hears to a long future. I became a huge Skid Row fan as a 10 year old metal head back in 1990, and as time went on and Bach left, I kind of stopped paying attention when new singers joined (though I still listened to the first 3 albums regularly). I heard that you had joined, and was like "ok, just another singer to fill in...", and then I heard you, and holy shit you are incredible and a perfect fit for the band, and have given Skid Row a second life, something I never thought was possible.

I 100% agree with you on how cancer/leukemia can change your outlook on life.
I have for most of my life been a negative person. Always moaning about trivial shit. Always expecting the worst.
When I was diagnosed with blood cancer after what was a complete misfire of my brain (I won't go into the details as that's all on my channel if you feel like watching it), my initial reaction when I was told was "Ok, fair enough. Now what do we do?" ... I was so calm and laid back about it all. All through the treatment I remained positive, cracking jokes, laughing with the nurses and just generally being chill, and I think that attitude helped the treatment work better.
Since it's all been done and dusted, had the stem cell transplant , got the all clear, my outlook on life has totally changed. I don't want to do a job I hate, working my fingers to the bone for money. I would rather do something I enjoy for less money and have a more relaxed life. I don't let shit stress me out. I don't see everything negatively anymore.
I am not religious or spiritual, but I am certainly more at peace with myself and life in general (although I do still have gamer rage ha ha)

I ran into Sebastian Bach when a friend and I were bored and decided to walk down Hollywood Blvd. I was in my teens and he had just walked out of a bar. The bar was literally one door that led out onto the blvd. No signs above the door and no line to get into the bar. He walked out by himself. I told my friend “Hey that's Sebastian Bach!” and I turned in the direction he was going. My friend talked me out of following him or this would have been a much different story to tell. I had a huge crush on him back then in my teen years. He is still easy on the eyes. That night he looked sad with his head hung low as he walked alone in the evening night sky. I had an overwhelming sense that he was very sad, but I will never know why.

I appreciate your take on the Skid Row's songs. I've said it before. Skid Row has captured lightning in bottle twice with you and Sebastian. Thank you for the respect you show for the original song, but put yourself into them. As a musician myself I find that great otherwise your are a karaoke band. No offense to the other singers Skid Row has had they aren't you or Sebastian, yep, haha, before you that I never thought I'd say. It's Skid Row again. No offense to Mr. Bach; you have me torn.

Skid Row has always been great! It was great with Sebastian and the way they were. It's so great now with you!!! You and Sebastian's voices are so different. His is good but your voice is so beautiful and amazing. Especially with the cover songs. I'd never heard a man sing Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You before until I heard you sing it and it was so beautiful that I cried.
