  • I will show you our current shelves & resources set out for my 2 year olds. Our playspace is inspired by Montessori and most recently Waldorf. We love natural materials, open ended play and loose parts with some shelf work to work on particular skills.

    I am new to your channel, and I just LOVE you and your videos! 😍👏🏻 keep up the great work! Our little girl is now 19 months and I share a lot of the same values and principles as you by the sounds of it :-) it’s so nice to find another like minded mamma out there ! God bless you all so so much!

    Hi! I just discovered your channel and I'm going through all your videos, amazing content, thank you for all your ideas, you're an inspiration 😊 I also have a toddler who's almost 2 and a half. I'm learning a lot about Montessori but I find it harder to find information on Waldorf, can you reccomend some books, podcast etc? Thanks so much!

    if I let my 22 months old here, this place will look like after 2nd world war in NO time! :D what child leaves a place like this neat if they have an access?! I envy you so much! hahaha :)

      No need to envy, my child is as messy as any. She particularly enjoyed throwing when she was younger as most children do. X

      Thanks again im finding your ideas and resources very helpful. Can i ask At what age would you recommend introducing colouring/drawing etc? Is it counterproductive to introduce at young age 12 months plus and assist them?

    • @ThisFamilyThing
      @ThisFamilyThing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@emmapolly1558 I have always let them have access to crayons and drawing materials from a young age but they didnt always start to draw or use them until much older but it doesnt really matter too much. So long as their materials are safe for them to use, let them explore and use them as they please. Younger children generally want to explore by touching and put things to their mouths and thats totally ok. Main thing is to follow their interests and there are much more interesting ways for children to make marks from a young age which will keep them interested for longer like painting, finger and hand painting, water play etc. Hope thats helps. @ThisFamilyThing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@emmapolly1558 Also I wouldnt usually assist them in drawing, I would put the paper out and a crayon or too and let them do as they please with it. I might show them what it does when it is put to paper but then let them decide if they want to use it that way or not. K xxx
