No offense intended to whoever made the remastered soundtrack for AOE 2 DE - that soundtrack is good too - but this version of Shamburger is better than the new official one.

@@VitalisEirich I was kind of dissapointed that this version did not made it to the DE. Hopefully mods will allow such teaks in the future. The game deserves more customization. I wanted the old scotish narrator for example

This is a lot more faithful to the original than the DE version (which changes melodies and therefore bothers me a lot).

don't know why but this song reminds me about the final moments of dark age. six on sheep under the town centre, five farms, seven on wood near a lumber camp, building barracks, going to feudal age when suddenly your scout gets killed by enemy town center. damn it!!

I remember it on our AMD K6-2 (350 MHz) when we played it on our Scott 17" monitor in 1024x768 and that song played.
It was very magic. Now, over 15 years later, people still care about those songs. Music is magic. Especially this one.

Dude, way to enhance the original while keeping the it so closely linked to the nostalgia of the game! Most arrangements are just interpretations that don't really try to interpret what the piece is trying to convey but you managed hit it out of the ballpark with this! Thanks for being the first arranger I know to do this.

This was just amazing. I can't stop listening to it. Age of Empires II is a classic, but it certainly needed an adaptation to nowadays demands and qualities without compromising the original version. You managed that and created a masterpiece. Please, do more AoE II OST.

Holy God, this is good. Really don't know what inspired you to do this, but your efforts are more than appreciated. Your remix gives something of a Claude Debussy feel to this particular piece, or that's what I feel. Really good stuff.

J'ai grandis avec ce jeu et je ne regrette pas le moindre brin d'herbe de chaque map :) Et le 2 arriva ...........Et oui, je suis parti 1 Mois en Mongolie il y'a 2 ans de ça, car j'adore Age of, et j'y ai découvert Temudjin :p, puis une émission Française ( www.dailymotion.com/video/x3muf3y ) m'a redonné envie !! Merci pour ces sublimes musiques, que ce soit du 1 et du 2 aussi.......ayant acheté le pack collector à l'époque, j'avais le cd des musiques, parfait pour un fond d'ambiance lors des repas geek ou non ;P

Such an awesome composition. You somehow captured the essence of the original Shamburger whilst giving it the "DE" touch. Oh, how I wish there was an option to alternate between this and the original music in-game.

@@VitalisEirich what you put together there is something that's well above and beyond what's usually called amazing, it's so well done, you can hear the different nuances and instruments incorporated to really enrich the original while keeping absolute loyalty to the track. I've been playing the piano since I was 3, so 24 years now, so I think that I know a thing about music and what we have here is what I consider a true masterpiece!
