Sad to here these buses are retiring. I've been obsessed with oranas since i was 4 years old. Farewell Oranas, my childhood will never be the same without you😭😭😭😭😭😭
Having grown up in the Botany area, I remember seeing the PoBo and Waverley Oranas all the time. When I was little I knew them as “the long one” (TRBL), “the tall one” (CRB), and “the short one” (CRL/B10BLE). My favourite was always the L113TRBL because they’re big. Thanks for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
@@coolsoap8 yep the l113trbls and CRBs were one of my usual buses before they were retired since my local route is by kingsgrove depot I also went on pbc alot for my other local route
I'm glad that I managed to catch quite a few Volvo and Scania Ansair Oranas in late September during my layover in Sydney ❤ Long live the cute Ansair Orana :3 woohoo 💪❤
@Paco_Gaepedoresour (Volvo B10BLE) Oranas at Burwood depot SHOULD stay for another year or two, but the only real way to find out is to wait and see. I suppose in comparison to newer buses the Oranas could be considered cute, specially the low-entry ones as opposed to their larger high-floor sisters. The L113CRL Oranas at Willoughby should still stick around for a little longer, but I wouldn’t give them any longer than a year. It’ll be sad once every type of Orana is finally gone, I love them so much 😭
These are the last buses that were truly an upgrade. Everything since is a "refresh" at best, or a downgrade with the seats, armrests, loud bells, awkward buttons, etc.
I agree, their PMC predecessors feel ancient in comparison to the Oranas, and for a 1993 design these buses were way ahead of their time. It’s a shame to finally see them go, but we can all admit that they’ve had a good run.
All of them will be stuck with Elements from now on. Also, Sydney's public transport system is starting to evolve a little, with more electric buses such as the Elements rolling out into service, the Metro extending to Bankstown, and many more to come in the next few years. Sad that the Oranas are set to disappear from the roads anytime soon, although, they might return for heritage events or doing rail replacement runs (being sold to charter operators).
The KDNB ones are on Volvo B10BLE chassis, they will stay for a bit longer. HOWEVER… electric charging stations are about to be installed at Brookvale so once there are electric buses at Brookvale, the Oranas in the Northern Beaches will be gone!
@@coolsoap8ahh I figured there would be future changes when they moved all b10ble types from Mona vale to brookie depot (they used to operate up in Mona vale)…. Never really see them operate these route (unless if they send a driver from brookie to operate 199)
May these iconic buses fly high, and live on within our hearts ❤

It will be a really sad day when they are retired :(
I love these buses very much as well ❤
My favourite intro so far
Glad you’re liking the themed intros!
I caught 2 Scania L113CRL Ansair Oranas Buses 3823 and 3829 Today both built in 1998
Nice, enjoy the Scania Oranas while you still can!

The B10BLE Oranas should stay for a couple more years…
I’m assuming that the ones operated by Keolis Downer Northern Beaches will still stay in operation?

Austral Pacific were built in Tamworth
Yes that is correct, the earlier Oranas were built in Tullamarine but the newer ones were at Tamworth.
MO 3761 was stripped and no longer resembles a bus inside and is in grey primer now.
If my memory serves me correctly, you’re turning 3761 into a mobile home?
