What the F1 Drivers Drove to the Australian GP

- Welcome to my latest video that takes a closer look at what the F1 drivers drove to the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix. One of the most talked-about facets was the arrival of the Red Bull Ford Raptors, of course Red Bull have signed with Ford for engines for their F1 car going forward so driving Ford street cars to the Albert Park circuit was a great ad for Ford. Not only did Max Verstappen and Sergio’ Perez drive a Ford Raptor but former Red Bull driver and now Red Bull reserve driver Daniel Ricciardo also arrived in style in a Raptor.
Aside from Red Bull's fleet of Raptors, there were other interesting cars spotted including four Alfa Romeos and a number of Audis.

Partridge was right at the time, or Top Gear, I guess. The Mégane trophy R has since held the laprecord for front-wheel drive cars at Nürburgring for quite a while though. First place now is a concept car but like half of the top ten is Méganes still. Pity because that's my ex' name.

In Melbourne the GLE63 (2019+) can be anywhere between $190K (second hand) up to $260k (brand new).
That $158k was either a second hand GLE53 or in the price in USD.... in Melbourne you can only dream of such a low price 😅

The cars are usually on lease from a dealership in the country. They aren't the drivers' personal cars. The only time you see the personal cars is if it's a European race or a home race

Trying to get that Artura into the very narrow tunnel under the track is giving me the heebies at the thought!
Walked past the carpark on the Friday and Saturday and am proud I managed to correctly guess what cars belonged to which drivers.

So you manage get all the driver and team principal to sign you a stack of picture, but do they get something back in return from that or they are just happy to help you ?
