Decided to get my friends 46 CJ2A running for him. He gives a box full of random parts for the carburetor. Would of never known what I was missing, needing and had extra of without the help of the video.

One of the best DIY videos I've seen on YT. Your manner of speech is very clear. Well done ! A bit of discussion on metering rod adjustment would be a plus

Thank you very much! I will try to cover the metering rod in a future video! Thanks for watching.

Great build video. I can see by your tools, they are much used, and much loved.
I remember as a youth around 10 to 12 years old, my first solo project was a carb rebuild for my go cart. Just love working with my hands.

After watching the disassembly video, watched this one to complete the rebuild and assembly. Carb is installed and we're getting close to first start up. Great video!

Awesome video. I bet it will watch for years on TH-cam. I have used kits from Mikes Carbs on the net.

Thank you! Yes mike has the goods! I used a Kaiser rebuild kit in my Carter ys navy jeep a couple years ago. It was great!

My needle has a spring on the back side. Would I set the 3/8" float spacing with this spring compressed or uncompressed?
Also, the spring for the top of the metering rod... when I installed per the video the metering rod was binding and would not snap down when released. I had to move washer to the back side next to the nut (plus lock washer) and this allowed it to move freely and snap back when released like you said. This is how my original spring was on the metering rod.

Just an FYI- The Metering Rod has a tiny hole near the top and the spring should go into that hole instead of wrapping around the Metering Rod…Excellent Video 👍👍

I prefer not to use the hole. It makes zero difference. That’s a personal choice.

I did ity on one, what a faff, sharp pen knife and lever it off , I replaced with the new ones in the pack using a little tak hammer , they are alloy so soft and will seal tight as they go in
