You Pakistanis have this problem of dividing people on the basis of languages. Dafuq does shina muslim means? Huh? They are kashmiris. Not even 2% of people in Azad kashmir speak Kashmiri but they still are called kashmiris because it's about statehood not language you imbecile. I think I now know why Pakistan is a fk'ed up country. You people are dividing societies within societies and living in the bubble of insecurities and empty pride. Please keep this toxicity at bay where it belongs. It's really unfortunate we kashmir have been sandwiched between India and Pakistan, the two most toxic countries.
Yes before partition it was one area Gilgit,Skardu,Gurez,Ladakh,kargil share same culture and languages. Before partition it was part of Princely State Of J&K hope so one day we will come together again. IN SHA ALLAH

Having seen part of it from the other side of the border, life and its challenges of the local people are the same irrespective of which side of the LOC they reside. However, what was unbelievable is the amount of deforestation that has taken place over the years. Have never witnessed such dry mountains in any part of Kashmir [on the other side] I've visited so far.
Situation is better now , 12000 tourists visited gurez valley so far this year,jio and bsnl internet functions here,many guest houses and eateries have opened, even home stays ,guest homes in some remote villages here
What can I write,being a resident of this very area at time I felt ashamed but what should person do ,when he is born in such a far-flung area.I am very much thank full to this team,which is making effort to bring this area in show . State govt.is too negligible to this very area that every thing is lacking here and one get Stunned how come People managed to love here.....once again thanks to your team...
I have been there in 2014-2016 nice place like Niru, Budgam,and chakwali and loving people. We have lost our 15 soldier there I will never forget it 😭😭..
I don't know whether u would like this or not!! U seemed to me as an educated person. So if u love Kashmir then form the group of eudacated people and try to make Kashmiri children. Take out some time other than Ur work to help poor children. Hopefully it will help those children.

Heart wrenching story. My heart goes out to the people of gurez. How can I help them I wonder!!!. I have skipped a visit to this area every time and it was not tossed to me by my tour operator. May be in my next visit. Government should provide the electricity and transport or else there would be major deforestation.
