Thank you. I noticed it recently with my own kids, they like to look at all my old printed photo albums. My digital phone pictures seem to be forever stuck and never enjoyed to the same level.
Man, my daughter being born is what got me into film photography . 16 years later and film is still my preferred method of capturing family photos. Love it that you are keeping to that timeless process.

Thanks Brian. Yeah I started thinking about it and realised I have every negative of every photo I’ve taken since the early 2000s and have no idea where half the digital photos I’ve taken in that time are!

Thanks Tim. Haha yeh I’ve always loved golf and I’ve realised now there are actually many similarities to ultra running as far as the mental side goes. It’s been interesting the mental strength developed through running to golf. Not driving trucks anymore but handling the logistics of it in the office which works out for me. All the best mate.

Anything is appreciated mate. I had to renew my music subscription before making this video which always stings a bit so helps offset those things. I was pretty terrified too haha I never felt like I was ready because in my head I still feel like I’m 21 😂 All the best with it!

Thanks Simon up to you I haven’t closed off my pattern account so it remains if you prefer it. I felt more comfortable with the buymeacoffee idea as the frequency of my videos has been sporadic to say the least so people can donate as I upload if they wish rather then an ongoing commitment. Masterfully done again Dan. Love the throwback with the Amateur t-shirt. Interested to know why you've picked up the Sony FX3? I seem to remember you using a BMPCC6K for a while there? Either way the shots look as golden and creamy as ever. Really well done and always inspired by your work.
*and I'll add - how many times did you try to sink that monster putt? That was clutch.
Hey mate, I got an fx3 just for ease of use reasons to be honest especially when making TH-cam videos and self filming. I find it much more useable as a minimal setup with no rig. I also wanted to be able to chuck a native Sony lens on for certain things and have reliable autofocus as apposed to my contax lenses that are manual. I use the same power grade from Juan Melara that I did with my pocket 6k to convert the footage to log c and grade from there so it still feels like what im used to working with in post. The only negative are the codecs aren’t as nice and I have to use a proxy workflow with the fx3 whereas the Braw files always played back perfectly in resolve. I also find full frame to just be easier to use when filming yourself due to the extra field of view. Ive since sold the pocket 6k but love both cameras. Pretty crazy what you get for the money these days. Haha I knocked that put in first try hence the fist pump 😂 doesn’t happen often especially with the camera rolling.

There's a lot going on under the surface that we don't see but it really comes out when you see the quality of the end result. Giving me a lot to think about when making my own vids. I had my little one. She's 2. But the mother turned nasty and keeps stopping me see her. Make the most of time with your child because you never know when a women can turn .
