+Terry Mcginnis What? Lol Are you kidding me? Superheroes are more popular than ever! So popular that movies aren't even enough. There are so many Marvel & DC TV shows now.
I remembered when Campea interviewed Chris Pratt, Kevin Fiege and James Gunn. It was just an interview. Nothing more. This is amazing! Want more of this please!
I just left the early screening. They did an AMAZING job. They really understand action and the powers of these heroes. Black Panther, Spider-Man and Ant-Man stole the show. Can't wait for Infinity War.
+ANKZMUFC tv woah they finished that shit early, that's impressive! I kinda worked on days of future past, we were working on that shit the week before release lol
Great interview guys it's easy to see the Russo brothers were pretty comfortable with you guys, you're really great with interviews. And holy crap am I excited for Civil War... I can't fucking wait.
When Joe Russo's started talking about how they talk ideas with all the other marvel directors, it put a smile on my face because all those guys he listed were the ones who made the good marvel movies so joe saying this just boosts my confidence in the movies to come.
These guys and Kevin Fiege are the best thing that's happened to Marvel! They really have a great knowledge of characters and being comic book fans themselves, they know what people want on screen. Can't wait for Civil War :D
+nvrules27 Community will always hold a special place in my heart, they did such a fantastic job with the meta in that show and how relatable the characters were
They were going to do the male Ghostbusters remake. I was so excited because that's totally their area of comedy; they're great with ensembles and character interaction. But they dropped it, sadly.
That woulda been great. Also, find Max Landis talking about his screenplay (on Game Over Greggy) that was being considered till Paul Feig stepped in and said, "ALL FEMALE CAST!" His treatment included the daughter of Egon on the team, but it was a mixed team. Can't remember everyone he said, but there was definitely Sarah Silverman and Patton Oswald. He made a good point about the way it's all lit and shot like a modern comedy, with a flat ratio and plain lighting to not distract from the cast, Pixels is an example. The original Ghostbusters was shot to look like a serous horror/action/adventure film, much like Men In Black was made to look like a modern sci/fi film, both of them being that much more effective for not LOOKING like a typical comedy.
I love the answer the Russo brothers had to the question of " What star wars story would you like to be told." And their answer is to tell a new story with new characters. I agree 100% with them. Other than a obi wan movie i personally dont think they have to go back and tell anymore stories of the past. Just start creating new ideas and thinking outside the box. Thats why we look back at these classics and call them masterpieces and memorable films, because back then they thought outside of the box instead of trying to recapture the past. These guys have great minds and just listening to them just makes me want to go see Civil War even more now.
You know I agree with new ideas, while I liked the force awakens, it just relied heavily on original trilogy material and tried too much to be episode 4, the prequel trilogy might be flawed as hell, but it's environment and world felt completely different, in which if done right, could be memorable...
If you go full screen and look at the top right corner, you can see Dennis' Mac logos( I guess this was filmed at around 3, right guys?😂) On another note, great interview; I can't wait to see this amazing film.
+Adrian Ventura You didn't see BvS then. They took a shot on literally all of their characters in it excdpt wonder woman because she was a random cameo
+Ryan Hutcheson no green lantern is a jar of piss, bvs isn't an amazing film it definetly has its problem but it's not terrible it's a 5/10 which i think is fair
I'm in love with those directors. Joe and Anthony have become my favourite directors since The Winter Soldier! Go on Russo brothers, rock it on with Infinity Wars!
Awesome interview, love...love...love the Russo's; they are filmmakers you really want to helm Marvel movies! As an actor, I can only hope to one day work with these dudes on film projects! Great stuff!
This interview was MUCH better than Dennis' one with these guys, Christian is more friendly and welcoming, and Mark is more funny and makes the guests feel comfortable and engaged. I also like how they both asked follow up questions in response to their answers, and not just move onto the next question, what Dennis done, that makes it seem like an interrogation and not like a conversation. Also because one of theme is SUCH a fan of Spidey, I would LOVE to see them take on the Spidey movie after the first one, they clearly understand and CARE about the characters, so they would ensure, the character gets justice on screen. I really can't WAIT to see how they handle Spidey in Civil War!
That was the best interview I've seen in a long time. You guys knocked it out of the park! I'd love to see them on Jedi Council. I can't wait to see this movie.
Really great interview ! :D I'm glad that you asked interesting questions without going into spoilers. Although Iron Man 1 is still my favorite Marvel movie, The Winter Soldier was certainly a close second and was really well done. It changed the Marvel super-hero genre by finally taking things seriously while still making them fun enough that it doesn't become dark and gritty. I CAN'T WAIT to see Civil War in a month or so, and I would love to see these guys work on a Star Wars movie. It seems to me that these guys really know how to tell multi-character based stories similar to what Joss Whedon did with Avengers 1 and I think Marvel absolutely scored when it comes to their choices in directors. Kevin Feige and Marvel know what they are doing. They just need to make sure that they work on their Villains (Especially with Thanos) and then they'll seriously become an unstoppable force. :)
Jack how do you know that? they've only released details on phase 3 movies. Phase 3 ends with Avengers infinity war part 2, it's the end of the main storyline, and after that they start with something else
These guys really know what they're doing and clearly have their shit together. I wish the same could be said for Snyder. Also, they should definitely direct a Star Wars movie in the future. They would be my dream directors for that. Them or Nolan.
It's still mind boggling that two dudes that directed some episodes of the greatest comedy tv shows of all time have now directed two of the greatest CBM's of all time
This really proved anyone can be anything, how writers of a sitcom barely anyone watched went a long way of becoming the reason of marvel's latest success with their past 2 movies...
They weren't writers. They were accomplished directors of many episodes of Community and Arrested Development. Maybe not the clearcut choice for a big blockbuster, but definitely not unknowns that did a sitcom that "barely" anyone watched (Community and Arrested Development are very popular, man).
+Aswad MN Go to Cleveland. Right now... Cleveland has the hottest talent coming out of that city. You have Russo brothers (MCU)Steve Harvey (3 shows)Halle Berry (Extant)Drew Carey (Price is Right)Michael Symon( The Chew and Iron Chef) Judge Lynn Toler (Divorce Court) and Arsenio Hall( show was cancel last year)
so glad they brought up community and arrested development, two of my favorite tv shows ever. and its a testament to these two if they can direct great comedy, and great action.
schmoess, hell yes you're the the best, 3 year subscriber, it's good to see you guys allot more often now aahhdayys. keep it up! / movie talk/ collider.. the best
Shout out to them for going through such gruesome shooting days for months at a time and still having enough energy and time to be cool guys. Definitely shot up my "have a beer with" power rankings lol
They made my favourite MCU film and third favourite comic book film of all time. So I'm expecting big things from Civil War, specifically from Spidey and Black Panther.
You hear this interview with the Russos, and the once with James Gunn and Peyton Reed, and you see why Marvel succeeds and DC flounders. Great interview, guys!
Russo Brothers directing a video game movie, will be the world first good video game movie and will kick start the video game movie genre the way the MCU has for comic books. Make it happen Universe.
+Rainbow Dash How so? He nailed the deal with Spider-man and listened to the fans when he gave us Black Panther and Captain Marvel. Also he kicked out Ike Perlmutter from having control over the movie division so none of that AoU Hot Tub Thor Scene can happen again. I think he's doing a fantastic job unless you have any info that I'm unaware about?
+schmoesknow Great interview, btw I love the Rogers Stark T-shirt 2012 on you, I'm curious to know where you bought it or is it you create it your own, where/how to get it? Much appreciated. :P
Got a civil war trailer for an ad, the only time I accept ads.
:D
+Nuggets for life I got a Lipton ad.
ihop
Quantum Break was mine
+Nuggets for life CoD Black Ops III for me....
Why is everyone from Marvel so down to earth? Lol the Russo bros are awesome!
it translates to how awesome their movies are! take notes DC!
+Terry Mcginnis what are you talking about? if anything the hype for super hero movies have gone up.
+Terry Mcginnis What? Lol Are you kidding me? Superheroes are more popular than ever! So popular that movies aren't even enough. There are so many Marvel & DC TV shows now.
+J. R. Don't mind him I've seen him bashing marvel in other comment sections. He's just butthurt that BvS didn't live up to expectations
+Blaze Dragonflame Lol
These guys really understand, as well as respect, character and story.
Shane Black should take notes from these guys.
+SepticHead Shane Black is one of the best writers in the business.
Ryan Proctor and he doesn't give a fuck about comic books and the history which they represent.
SepticHead I didn't mind Iron Man 3 tbh, I've seen worse from comic book movies haha
So glad they're in charge of Infinity War. The Russo brothers with Markus and McFeely are the best combo for Marvel films at the moment.
TheMovieJunkiez Yeah James Gunn too though let's wait until GOTG Vol 2.
+Eric Prajogo If only DC had creative minds like them. Instead we get garbage ass Zach Snyder.
TheMovieJunkiez ...
I remembered when Campea interviewed Chris Pratt, Kevin Fiege and James Gunn. It was just an interview. Nothing more. This is amazing! Want more of this please!
+Safiuddin Salahuddin Wait are you saying an interview was like an interview? huh thats strange -_-
Marvel really struck gold with these guys.
Pure gold
it's true.
And not JOSS WHEDON
+Tall Stormtrooper pure vibranium
+Josh Taylor and that film had the burden of being compared to the almost flawless first avengers
A Russo Brothers directed Star Wars film? Make it happen Disney.
👍👍👍👍👍
That would be awesome!!! Russo brothers need to direct a star wars movie. Disney, give them an anthology project :D
+maxusleonidas Two words; Old. Republic
+Josh Jones couldn't agree more
+maxusleonidas For these guys and Feloni, it needs to happen. When, not if.
I just left the early screening. They did an AMAZING job. They really understand action and the powers of these heroes. Black Panther, Spider-Man and Ant-Man stole the show. Can't wait for Infinity War.
+Josh Jelks what would u give it on the scale of 10
is the movie finished? like all the CGI and stuff
+Talhah nosyman Was released 2 weeks ago for special screenings. Movie's been complete for months now.
+ANKZMUFC tv woah they finished that shit early, that's impressive! I kinda worked on days of future past, we were working on that shit the week before release lol
+24SevenBoner 9. Wasn't a fan of Zemo
Great interview guys it's easy to see the Russo brothers were pretty comfortable with you guys, you're really great with interviews. And holy crap am I excited for Civil War... I can't fucking wait.
This movie was AMAZING & Tom Holland KILLED it as Spider-Man. I can't wait for the new Spider-Man movie next year!
+cookiewilliams1990 Lucky bastard :D
These guys know what they're doing. They are very grounded and realistic with their work.
Winter Soldier, Civil War, Arrested Development, and Community. These guys can DO. NO. WRONG.
+nvrules27 Community will always hold a special place in my heart, they did such a fantastic job with the meta in that show and how relatable the characters were
those paintball episodes, even done as comedy, playing around with action movie tropes, were still more exciting than alot of actual "action movies".
+nvrules27 Well, they do have You, Me, and Dupree but we just forget about that one.
They were going to do the male Ghostbusters remake. I was so excited because that's totally their area of comedy; they're great with ensembles and character interaction. But they dropped it, sadly.
That woulda been great. Also, find Max Landis talking about his screenplay (on Game Over Greggy) that was being considered till Paul Feig stepped in and said, "ALL FEMALE CAST!"

congrats schmoes for getting them on! i cant wait to see this movie!
I would LOOOVE to see a Star Wars movie from the Russo Brothers!
If you go full screen and look at the top right corner, you can see Dennis' Mac logos( I guess this was filmed at around 3, right guys?😂)
On another note, great interview; I can't wait to see this amazing film.
Seriously such a great interview. Makes me even more excited for this film.
Nice interview. The Russo brothers are awesome. I can't wait to see Civil War.
these two are now up in my top 5 favorite directors. one of the chillest interviews ever shmoes
I love how casual they are. Great guys and I'm very much looking forward to seeing the movie in the UK!
They're the best. Civil War was so astonishing. Bravo, Russo brothers!
This should be sent to WB so they can learn how to care about their DC movies ;D
+Ferni Wait for SS and WW before you blame WB I belive that it is Snyder that cant make good movies
+Adrian Ventura You didn't see BvS then. They took a shot on literally all of their characters in it excdpt wonder woman because she was a random cameo
You're an idiot.
bvs is a jar of piss anyone still defending it is a fuckin idiot
+Ryan Hutcheson no green lantern is a jar of piss, bvs isn't an amazing film it definetly has its problem but it's not terrible it's a 5/10 which i think is fair
I'm in love with those directors. Joe and Anthony have become my favourite directors since The Winter Soldier! Go on Russo brothers, rock it on with Infinity Wars!
Just saw the film and it was absolutely fantastic!!! Loved everything!
How did you see it it comes out in may
+optiprimas Early screening
+optiprimas advanced screenings are out in various places
+optiprimas early screening's were tonight didn't you hear
Me too! This is now my favorite MCU movie! I just didn't care too much for Zemo. BP was amazing and Spider-Man/Ant-Man were great
The Russo brothers are awesome. Hope they get to do a Star Wars film.
+TheAvatarYoshi i mean they did say they are massive fans of star wars and its lore
Awesome interview, love...love...love the Russo's; they are filmmakers you really want to helm Marvel movies! As an actor, I can only hope to one day work with these dudes on film projects! Great stuff!

The Russo brothers are so friggin cool. What an awesome job they're doing.
Now that's what I call a great authentic interview I loved it! Great job guys great job! I hope to work with them one day. I will!
Great things have been happening to you guys since you've made the transfer over to Collider, so happy for you guys, this is great!
Really great interview ! :D I'm glad that you asked interesting questions without going into spoilers.

Jesus. Infinity war is 3 years away while the start of the MCU was 8 years ago. i'm not ready for it to end..
Phase 4 is will come
Wazzat yeah, but it'd be the end of all the characters we knew. Phase 4 is like MCU 2.0
+The Sky Crusader spiderman Dr strange and black panther are in phase 3 and there in phase 4 to so you wrong
Jack how do you know that? they've only released details on phase 3 movies. Phase 3 ends with Avengers infinity war part 2, it's the end of the main storyline, and after that they start with something else
+The Sky Crusader Spider-Man is guaranteed to be in phase 4, so it won't end anytime soon.
Interviews with these guys make me more excided for Civil War than any trailer they could release...
Wow My Schome boys blowing up! Great interview and great to see the hard work and smart moves paying off. Kudos Mark and Kristian.
Good interview everyone! I think its cool that phase 3 starts big and ends huge
These guys are so awesome. So humble. Loved the interview.
These guys really know what they're doing and clearly have their shit together. I wish the same could be said for Snyder.
Also, they should definitely direct a Star Wars movie in the future. They would be my dream directors for that. Them or Nolan.
These guys are gonna give us something special with Infinity War!!! They're genius level comic book movie filmmakers. Can't wait!
OMG those 2 dudes are awesome!
RUSSO BROS DIRECTING A BOBA MOVIE OR OBI WAN MOVIE!!!!!
part of me feels that mandalorians would be perfect for them.
+Moist Von Lipwig doubtful, theyre doing infinity wars, so theyll be busy
+Generik Film yup. they said so in the video. they hope they're still alive by 2019 onwards.
+Moist Von Lipwig ahaha i hope they do, seeing as we got 70 year olds directing quality films these days
Those Cleveland boys did it again!
It's still mind boggling that two dudes that directed some episodes of the greatest comedy tv shows of all time have now directed two of the greatest CBM's of all time
what shows? curious fam
BRWWWN SKKKNHEAD Arrested Development and Community.
Damn, they really are gold.
Fantastic video.... just brilliant. Cheers Ellis and Kristian for this.
Can we please get these guys on more often, I really love hearing these guys talk. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.
Phenomenal interview guys!!! Thanks and thanks the Russo brothers for the time!!!!!
Great interview guys. Thank you for asking the questions that I would have asked if I could have been there.
The Russos are such nerds and i love it lol they understand the material and respects it. Such bad asses
I am studying and learning how these bros create so good movies!
+Aswad MN Go to Cleveland. Right now... Cleveland has the hottest talent coming out of that city. You have Russo brothers (MCU)Steve Harvey (3 shows)Halle Berry (Extant)Drew Carey (Price is Right)Michael Symon( The Chew and Iron Chef) Judge Lynn Toler (Divorce Court) and Arsenio Hall( show was cancel last year)
Went there last year bro! Hehe thanks for the heads up
so glad they brought up community and arrested development, two of my favorite tv shows ever. and its a testament to these two if they can direct great comedy, and great action.
These guys seem so excited and educated in what needs like us would love to see on the big screen! Totally a fan of them now!
Wow, I really grew to love the Russo Brothers with this interview. These dudes are true comic book nerds and most importantly storytellers.
Great interview Mark and kristian! Really enjoyed watching and very insightful
This interview takes my love for the Russo brothers to a whole other level.
This kind of awesome QA should go on the blu-ray, great content guys!
schmoess, hell yes you're the the best, 3 year subscriber, it's good to see you guys allot more often now aahhdayys. keep it up! / movie talk/ collider.. the best
Great talk guys! Really looking forward to the film!
So....these are the men responsible for my favourite movie of all time (Winter Soldier)? FUCK YEAH
Shout out to them for going through such gruesome shooting days for months at a time and still having enough energy and time to be cool guys. Definitely shot up my "have a beer with" power rankings lol
The Russo brothers are awesome and seem like down to earth guys they deserve their success and I can't wait for civil war and infinity war!
Just barely noticed that this video was played off of Denis Tzeng's Mac lol. at around 3pm in the after noon. cool
I love this guys! Amazing directors, Winter Soldier is amazing i cant wait to watch this movie!!!
Great interview!!I love these guys)Thank you!!!
DC take some fucking notes.
AMEN!
+steve crossfade *Zack Snyder
ezwar99 well BvS wasn't great so we need to call that out so they step up their game
+ezwar99 what? you do know that studios, producers, writers all have a role and the directer job is to fit all that into one
+Rahul Chaudhary suicide squad still is somewhat serious though, just cuz they dont pick serious or funny doesnt mean they dont know what they want.
saw it last night, amazing film. Spiderman was fucking awesome.
Airport scene was incredible. Can't wait till it comes out
+Ricky vazquez How many post-credit scenes did you see?
Nacirema just one
Ricky vazquez What was it :D
+Nacirema The post credit scene is a spoiler for the movie kind of
+Kevin Pedraza yup, that's why I didn't say it. Lol
This was a great conversation. Wish it could have been an hour!
Fantastic interview guys! Great to see the Russo brothers :D
The Russo Brother's doing Star Wars... that would be amazing!
16:04 and this is why Marvel Studios films turn out so well!
These guys are awesome. I trust them with Infinity, and I'd love to see them direct a Star Wars movie. They know their stuff about these worlds.
great interview guys! the Russos are so cool. the MCU is in good hands.... cant wait for CIvil War!!!
man that opening moment was funny. Kristian freaking out and the Russo bro in blue yawning lol
Great interview guys. Very well done. 👍👍
This movie was great. I was lucky enough to see civil war thursday thanks to the twitter promotion !!
Wow guys great interview, thanks!!!!
Wats with the Dennis Tzheng toolbar at the top
DUDE I'm getting so tingly listening to this
They made my favourite MCU film and third favourite comic book film of all time. So I'm expecting big things from Civil War, specifically from Spidey and Black Panther.
These guys are awesome love community and Cap 2 is my tied favourite marvel movie.
+Steven Sanchez something like Metal Gear or God Of War would be awesome
This is high profile stuff. Very interesting! Congratulations Schmoes. Next try to get big names into your show games.
Does it say Dennis Tzeng in the top right corner in every video, or just this one? xD
+Albin LI Just this one.
Holy shit, this was a great, comfortable, relaxing, fun interview.
I love their paintball wars episodes of Community.
if I was mark I would be knocking stuff out peoples hands. cokes napkins sandwiches... until I've seen the movie lol
+Jay Tucker Lol
I didnt know they also directed the movie'Welcome to collinwood' I love that movie!
These fellas are awesome!
such a great interview!
Great interview guys!
I heard Batman dies in this movie. Is that true?
yes
+kidbuu beastbuu fuk
Unfotunately
Not just batman but the dceu
+Giant Squid Batman dies during the intermission.
luv Russo's and Collider
"have hero vs villain at the end of the movie" lowkey shot at BvS lol
So no questions from the fans? Why did you ask us for questions then?? Beyond that, awesome interview!
in Kevin feigie we trust !
+Jose G (Joe) It's Fiagiay
+2nd3rd1st Feige actually
Kevin Feige is kind of ruining the MCU actually, we have to thank directors like the Russo brothers and James Gunn to give new life to those movies.
+Rainbow Dash He's far from ruining it
+Rainbow Dash How so? He nailed the deal with Spider-man and listened to the fans when he gave us Black Panther and Captain Marvel. Also he kicked out Ike Perlmutter from having control over the movie division so none of that AoU Hot Tub Thor Scene can happen again.
I think he's doing a fantastic job unless you have any info that I'm unaware about?
I liked the big bold letters of the cities. felt like chapters. it was so god damn good fuck. bvs was my fav and then this happened
+schmoesknow Great interview, btw I love the Rogers Stark T-shirt 2012 on you, I'm curious to know where you bought it or is it you create it your own, where/how to get it? Much appreciated. :P
