  • This is the Tower Hamlets PARKING ENFORCEMENT CAMERA CAR outside ST ANN'S SCHOOL in underwood road,Whitechapel E1. this car regularly parks outside this school mornings and afternoons at around 3.30pm and as you can see is parked illegally on double yellow lines and Tower Hamlets has the nerve to send parents and carers a parking ticket through the post for £130 if they park on the double yellow lines. It seems there is one rule for Tower Hamlets council cars and one rule for us parents with vehicles. I was issued a parking ticket by this very cctv Tower Hamlets camera car recently when I went to collect my daughter from this school. What can we do? Any ideas?

Council employee aloud to enforce these as the parking restrictions dont apply, they must only ensure that when stopped they do not break road traffic act.

Its unfair, but they've been given the privilege from Tower Hamlets Council.
Why are there MP's & Councillors in the borough I don't know, if they can't even raise the issue.
Same type of CCTV vehicle fined me, whilst I was on the right but the councilor who's in charge of the parking section instead of taking my complain, he told me his been told not to complain about it. I asked him who's he representing, resident or council, he than told me to email him the complain & he'll forward it to them...As if I need a postman for emails...So I contested & the fine was cancelled.
Are these people representing the residents or the council? I feel that's where the problem is, else the council would be much more careful when doing these things. Two wrong doesn't make a right, if the CCTV vehicle is parking illegally how does it give them the right to give someone else a fine for the same offense? It might have been understandable if it was a criminal offense but its a civil offense so they shouldn't be given the right to do covert operation for civil offense.

Knock on the door and tell them they are parked illegally and that they need to move the car I know yeah right
