Ngl, Klaus winning against masemune was to serve the plot. Don't get me wrong i love Klaus but during the battle Julian said that whoever had the greater desire to win would claim victory, a few episodes ago they established that masemune's desire to win the world championships was STRONGER the kyoya's desire to defeat gingka and we all know how strong that is. So...yeah, for the plot.
I'd argue Klaus' desire to win was very high. We saw his training and what he goes through to reach this level. I also agree it was done for plot reasons, but I wouldn't count Klaus out considering what we've seen of his training.
Well obviously it's for the plot. It serves Masamune's character arc. It's a season long arc and you can tell already that this match was very important. I don't think him losing lessens the impact of his willpower. When he faced Nile he was still delusional, in over his head and not focused at all. That team battle was BASICALLY the first step in his arc to stop being so hard on himself. And this battle serves as a second step where he clearly has the right spirit. Hhh... I hope they don't UNDO that in the next arc. I hope they don't make him really dumb 😀
So shittier tbh. LF is way worse than R2F, both in the show and in real life performance. MLD's strength both in show and irl is from the rubber on the energy ring.
Klaus v Masamune is so damn good. I find Klaus to be a really underrated character. I love when two people can be adversaries but still respect each other like that
the best part of a sports anime is the finding comradery through battle going all out and winning feels great a curb stomp is fun the first time, but every time after just isnt fun and doesnt prove anything about yourself. being able to give your all and coming out on top feels amazing in anything you do
@@sdbzfan1 and most of the time those curb stomps are only ever used for chock value. And then because it's also shonen anime, the power scaling is never consistent. The first season BARELY had this problem. And I know why. Ryuga was set up FROM THE GET GO as the final boss, that's the power ceiling here characters much reach. And every one of the main characters work together and progress together, which means they all scale to each other. And most matches actually come down to some form of strategy and not just "I have the stronger spirit" Yu IS one of the best, yet it doesn't feel cheap when Reiji destroys him. In Masters, because it's a tournament some people need to be left behind. Think about it. Tsubasa was dominated by Chi Yun. Chi Yun was NOTHING compared to Klaus. Klaus scales to Masamune. @@He-Man00 tbf you have to consider Chi yun did not actually beat Tsubasa its very clearly stated that Tsubasa caused his own defeat and Chi yun likely wouldve lost otherwise. The fact that ryuga was kicking team Excalibur’s ass shows how much higher of a level he is than everyone. Because team Excalibur destroyed the competition so far and they’re made up before people who are champs in their own respective countries. So he washed the euro league champs in like 3 min. Just wait till you get to episode 33.
Masamune’s match was what I meant when I said peak combat before. The timing with his OST with the Special Moves was perfect. Also……Klaus’ Capricorn made a GOAT BELLOW sound badass!
Fun fact about Meteo: In the Manga, Lightning L-Drago, and bear with me, *ate a special move* to evolve. The special move was Blaze Execution (almost impossible to survive) and that's how it evolved. Also Klaus had literal plot armor. Capricorn was barely spinning a few rounds and suddenly BOOM! also this is why I disagree with the "Masamune is a fraud" statements. Bro beat a powerful special move and even got Klaus down on the floor at the end
The bey strating back up happens all of the time. Egasus does it very often, same for sagitario and many other beys. That's just how it has been since the very first episode the one who has the greater blader spirit will almost always win unless faced by a power so tremendous that bridging the gap is impossible (lightning l drago and nemesis)
Klaus vs Masamune was one of the best fights in the entire series in my opinion, Klaus bench pressing those giant weights was epic, and while Masamune did lose, the fact that they pushed Klaus to their absolute limits shows their a strong bladder in their own right, Klaus even said that themselves.
It's so underrated. It gets overshadowed by more 'important' fights. But in terms of writing, spectacle and raw spirit I think this really hits every mark. I also love the commentary from the EU team. I always found them pretty annoying before, and like they didn't really care about the sport in any meaningful way. But they're clearly passionate and put respect on their rivals. I wish we saw more team dynamic from the U.S team. Atleast make more of a point that they're dysfunctional and not supportive of eachother
@@He-Man00 They were pretty snobbish before (especially Wales, an accurate depiction of an Englishman, believe me), but unlike the Russian and Brazilian teams, they were never cheaters. I don't blame them for getting mad at GGG earlier in Greece, they acted dumb that whole episode and brought that loss on themselves. They definitely became way more likeable after the US loss, despite the limited screentime in Metal Fury
@@ashhabimran239 Yeah Wales is kind of a dick most of the time but still. It's not in an annoying way. I really like their characters. And they have a pretty heartwarming arc

The reason why ldrago had dark aura when it fell to earth is because it passed trough the black sun and absorbed some of its energy while coming to earth then it was amplified by greedy humans
People have already said this, but I feel like Masamune could’ve (and should’ve) won that fight, even a tie I would’ve been fine with. I do however like the battle itself and Masamune was genuinely respected by Klaus (the thumbs up was dope), and more humble and focused, a far-cry compared to his fight with Nile. And even though he lost, he made Klaus faint, let that sink in.
.Massamune actually make two ppl in the tournement faint, and not bc he attack them in abusive way like dark tsubasa or things like that but just bc he push them farer than they ever been push. I like that.
