Exactly same happened with me , I was started becoming fan of monsta X in December 2019 n that goes on till this Ramdan n I was even thinking about them in prayers too 😭 I really felt ashamed for that . Then I decided not even to look at them during whole Ramdan n Alhamdulillah I survived ... Insha Allah . May Allah guide us all not to go on that way again . That really has a strong pull .

Hey, you could find a way to change those customs, I'm a Muslim too and I desperately want to be a kpop idol, and there are many people against it, even some of my family and literally everybody in my home town coz they think a lot about religion. It's true, we need to respect it. So what I thought is we could be idols in our own way. Maybe the first ever Muslim pop idols. Wearing covered up clothes and performing won't hurt so much you know.

I was a music addict myself but not i recovered and life is better than ever alhamdulillah. I couldn't focus on my prayer, study and there was always an empty feeling inside my heart which is gone alhamdulillah . Not listening to music is bit hard but when you actually stop listening you feel the happiness and calmness.

Same here I do it everyday also during Ramadan even when I sometimes wake up for Tahajjud, I hope that oneday Allah hears our wishes Inshallah Also I try to distance myself from music or anything else that isn't good in Islam so that my dua's can be powerful and Allah considers them looking at my sacrifice which is hard cause I'm still 18 but I love them and really want them to reach heaven and their afterlife is peaceful
I honestly never wanted to be a K-Pop idol, I never even thought of being one. Even though I do like K-Pop, it never made me far from Allah. K-Pop is powerful but I keep my limit. I like BTS, but I never bought an album, merch, a ticket to a concert or anything like that. I never spent my money on them. I should reduce my interest more I think. I am not very addicted but I just like them. Thank you Daud, for making me a better Muslim.
@Nahema Feuné yeah and keeping in mind that bts teaches self love but people forget the sole person of their music. They are very good people but our relationship with God and our responsibilities come first. We should keep our limits.

The main reason that why I like bts it's just same that they are using their popularity for good reason sending messages to love your self as a Muslim I am not depressed or any thing but as I go into it I fell they are very polite and hardworking but our prophet's taught us to stay calm and be happy and they are doing 1/4 of it and we should respect that 💜

We know its a better thing if we know ad understand more about our religion and what it has taught us on so many things regarding our life matters rather than only knowing a few things and feels ashamed by it. I mean, we still have chance to become a better muslims, learning islamic knowledge based on valid sources (shahih or hasan hadists, Qur'an, ofc based on Rasulullah shallallahualaihiwasallam and sahabah's perspective). A few months ago i loved kpop. I never thought of how much it pulled me away from my religion. Alhumdullilah Allah has given me guidance and i do not listen or see korean music/dramas. However i do like to use them as memes (friendy ones). Exactly same happened with me , I was started becoming fan of monsta X in December 2019 n that goes on till this Ramdan n I was even thinking about them in prayers too 😭 I really felt ashamed for that . Then I decided not even to look at them during whole Ramdan n Alhamdulillah I survived ... Insha Allah . May Allah guide us all not to go on that way again . That really has a strong pull .

Hey, you could find a way to change those customs, I'm a Muslim too and I desperately want to be a kpop idol, and there are many people against it, even some of my family and literally everybody in my home town coz they think a lot about religion.
It's true, we need to respect it. So what I thought is we could be idols in our own way. Maybe the first ever Muslim pop idols. Wearing covered up clothes and performing won't hurt so much you know.

I couldn't focus on my prayer, study and there was always an empty feeling inside my heart which is gone alhamdulillah .
Not listening to music is bit hard but when you actually stop listening you feel the happiness and calmness.

I honestly never wanted to be a K-Pop idol, I never even thought of being one. Even though I do like K-Pop, it never made me far from Allah. K-Pop is powerful but I keep my limit. I like BTS, but I never bought an album, merch, a ticket to a concert or anything like that. I never spent my money on them. I should reduce my interest more I think. I am not very addicted but I just like them. Thank you Daud, for making me a better Muslim.

you should try to stop liking them because you cannot love them and focus on religion, and Allah should be the first in your heart, then comes prophet Mohammed peace be upon him. If I ask a bts fan about any detail about bts they will know the answer, but if I ask about prophet Mohammed's life and details most people would not know most of his story. Take care sweethearts and try to fight this love because it's not right.
The main reason that why I like bts it's just same that they are using their popularity for good reason sending messages to love your self as a Muslim I am not depressed or any thing but as I go into it I fell they are very polite and hardworking but our prophet's taught us to stay calm and be happy and they are doing 1/4 of it and we should respect that 💜

For all my fellow muslim sisters and brothers, I hope we will start to learn more about our religion from the right sources. Like, it is good thing that Daud Kim has inspire or motivate us to know and learn about islam more. We know its a better thing if we know ad understand more about our religion and what it has taught us on so many things regarding our life matters rather than only knowing a few things and feels ashamed by it. I mean, we still have chance to become a better muslims, learning islamic knowledge based on valid sources (shahih or hasan hadists, Qur'an, ofc based on Rasulullah shallallahualaihiwasallam and sahabah's perspective). A few months ago i loved kpop. I never thought of how much it pulled me away from my religion. Alhumdullilah Allah has given me guidance and i do not listen or see korean music/dramas. However i do like to use them as memes (friendy ones). To anyone who loves kpop and is muslim, you need to know that they are just people like us, yes they may be good looking and do things that we desire them to do, however they JUST entertain you, and nothing else.
