I would definitely add ONCE UPON A WARDROBE to your December must-read. Just finished it last night outside on the deck, snuggled in a blanket, with a warm cup of tea and my dog by my side. Starting The Girl Who Saved Christmas today. Snow Child and Pax were both amazing reads too!! Thanks for EvErYtHiNg!
I am so glad that you loved book 1 in the Keeper of the lost cities series! It is my favourite series of all time and I squealed when you said you loved the book!!🎅
I love a castle in the clouds! This is really perfect for winter! No idea how well the writing style translates into english since I read the original version but it's just ultimate cozyness with a bit of a mystery and a plot twist ☺️🎅🤶
Other than generally reading Christmas and cozy mystery books, I am looking forward to A Cross Country Christmas. Your list sounds super and I added some of them to my TBR. 🎅🏽
All That You Are - Elicia Roper Synopsis: This novel tells the story of Athena and Caiden. Caiden is strong willed and self-less, he puts the needs of his family and friends above his own. Athena is a firecracker with a kind-hearted soul. As they go through the journey of life you will see how Athena and Caiden bring comfort to each other, as they learn to cope and mend with the pain of loss and heartbreak.
Also, North Child is wonderful - I accidentally read it twice, once when it first came out and then again recently. But, if you have to make choices, it's wintry more than holiday themed and would happily be a January read. Same for The Snow Child - wintry.
I'm getting The Miniaturist and can't wait to read it. I am right now reading The House In The Cerulean Sea and I am enthralled. Maybe not Christmassy but I have a huge wish list and trying to get some books as I am able. I LOVE your videos and your personality. Merry Christmas!
🤶Oh Santaaaa, oh santaaa... i love this vlogmas!! 🎅 i want to read all the cozy reads but sadly I have to finish some big books first, but to keep up the Christmas spirit I am going to read: Christmas Dinner of Souls by Ross Montgomery - so I at least have some christmas-y book (and hopefully I can get to The Secrets of Winterhouse - that would be lovely too) have a great 4th December tea tonight!
I'm reading the Vanderbeekers right now. Very cozy, wholesome reading so far. I'm saving the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (in the book) to read in one seating with my hot chocolate, blanket and christmas ASMR videos playing on my projector
🎅 I love your videos. I absolutely love reading but hate when you don't know what to read next, so I love checking these out for suggestions. I just finished all the current books in The Black Witch Chronicles and now maybe I'll check out of of the ones that you suggested for this month. Love the cozy Christmas vibes ❄️
🎅🏻I just started “a boy called Christmas” yesterday. I’m halfway through. Will probably finish today. I wanted to quickly read it before watching the movie. I adore it so far!
I can’t tell you how happy I am every time a watch one of your videos. Thank you so much for being on TH-cam and spreading that happy, joyful vibe you give ❤️
I'm just about to start Under the whispering door tomorrow as part of my December TBR. I hope you enjoy it when you get to it Lexi as well as the rest of Anna Karenina as well as Frostheart and the other books. Frostheart is a fantastic middle grade as is Frostheart 2. I have started the 3rd Frostheart on my kindle but I'm yet to finish it. I read The Toy Makers a while back and I simply adored it- it does have a real magical element to it and provides for an enjoyable read. 🎅🤶🎄
Snow child sounded so magical for an Adult novel. I am interested. But I would also like to know how your thoughts would go on Sally Rooney (I have not read any of her books and don’t know where to start)….
The Toymakers by Robert Dinsdale is one of my favorite books. It is a mash up of different genres. I would describe it as a magical, historical fiction with dark undertones. It’s one that will make you feel uplifted at times with the magical toy shop but feel down with the ruin that war and jealousy cause. I keep putting The Snow Child on my winter reading list too but still need to give it a read. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about it.🎅🏻
Castle in the cloud is one of my faves for the winter months!! Please read “the afterlife of holly chase” if you haven’t already because it’s one of my faves and I really think you’d be obsessed!!💗
I think I might read some Charles Dickens for the Christmas mood🎅I might also read a romantic book …shopping my bookshelves….like One Fine Day or November 9. This ‘episode’s’ intro. is so magical🪄🎄✨Love it❣️
I don’t really plan month to month tbrs anymore because sometimes I fall into a reading slump and I don’t pick up too many books so I just pick one and read it when I can. 🎅
I read North Child and it was... no words amazing. I have to say the same thing about Keeper Of The Lost Cities. The magical vibes in BOTH of them is amazing!!
Red looks absolutely stunning on you, Lexi! :) and im obsessed with that red lipstick! May i ask where you got it from? The Toymaker sounds so much like the childrens Christmas movie Babes In Toyland! I loved the animated version so much as a kid. So The Toymaker was instantly added to my TBR! lol :) The North Child, The Lost Child and The Light Between Worlds are some wintery books I am looking forward to this year as well. I read A Castle In The Clouds back in January and enjoyed it! It wasnt my most favorite book in the world but i found it very easy, fun, sweet, cozy and comforting. Perfect for this time of year! :) P.S. Thank you for making my day a little bit brighter. :)
Omg how did Christmas Dinner of Souls not make the list!!!😱 add it!!! 😂 I’m definitely reading that this month along with under the whispering door and I cannot wait!!🙌🏻
I have pulled over 30 books from my shelves or (ahem, bought recently) stacked by my bed for December. And that doesn't include the four library books I have on my nightstand, or two books I requested by interlibrary loan. Will I get to all these books? Absolutely not. Priorities - Once Upon a River by Diane Setterfield (that story begins on the eve of Yule... I think it's the eve), three middle grades, a couple illustrated books, and then a selection of both holiday themed whodunits and Victorian (or contemporary versions thereof) winter ghost stories (the one I'll read first is The Haunting Season: Ghostly Tales for Long Winter Nights, written by some of my favorite authors).
Wait a second I just got finished reading The Vanderbeekers of 141st St because you mentioned it in another video. I absolutely ADORED it but have you not read it yet?😂 Girl you must prioritize it! Now I’m reading GreenGlass House because you rave about it!
🎅 🙌 Thank you for the recommendations!! I'm currently in between moving from TN to IN (Which is a nightmare) haha and I think I am gonna have to read one of these wonderful books. I need to escape reality for a bit. ❤
Oh my god I had no idea there was an English edition of the castle in the clouds. I’m german and immediately read the book when it came out, so it warms my heart that it’s being read in other countries as well :’)
Under the Whispering Door was amazing! I personally preferred The House in the Cerulean Sea but can see why others would be the opposite cuz they were both so good! I adore the Keeper of the Lost Cities series!!! It's one of my favorites and I am eagerly anticipating book 9!!!! I think Gavin has said everything there is to say about Frostheart. The finale to that trilogy is one I am hoping to get to this month if I have time if not then it becomes the top priority for January. One by One is also on my December TBR. I am a bit nervous about cuz I've heard mixed reviews but I am still curious enough to check it out. I'm also hoping to finish my reread of the Winterhouse trilogy. I read book last month for Middle Grade Monthly/Believathon and want to finish it up in December so I read all three close together. I have a pretty big tbr between the 4 readathons I wanna do and the books my own tbr game threw my way but it's nowhere near as big as last months with the my tbr game tbr and then the 30 books i wanted to read for Believathon and since I completed that I am hoping I can handle this months pile. Hope your reading goes well this month Lexi! 🎅🎅
I'm currently reading House with chicken legs because of your recommendation - and it seems like TJ Klune and his books will be next! Thank you for amazing tips! :)
So love your TBR, my collection got bigger because of you. I realize I love middle grade after discovering your youtube. Continue doing it.Love lots Alexandra!🥰🥰🥰
I am hoping to read Castle of Tangled Magic, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, and A Winter’s Promise this December among many others! 🎅🏻😊I am so intrigued by The Toymakers and plan to read Frostheart in January since Gavin loves it so much!😊☃️
"Well call me Mariah Carey cause all i want is you." Already invested in the video 😂

Best opening line.
I LOVED that!

🎅 I love how your TBR is a mix of classics, children's, and adult books!
I love a castle in the clouds! This is really perfect for winter! No idea how well the writing style translates into english since I read the original version but it's just ultimate cozyness with a bit of a mystery and a plot twist ☺️🎅🤶
Can you give us a photo of the stack of green books on your table behind you. Looks so cute!
Other than generally reading Christmas and cozy mystery books, I am looking forward to A Cross Country Christmas. Your list sounds super and I added some of them to my TBR. 🎅🏽

I ended up ordering a copy of the snow child. You made it seem so interesting . 🙌🏾🙌🏾 thanks for the recommendations and the cozy vibes
I'm reading the Vanderbeekers right now. Very cozy, wholesome reading so far. I'm saving the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (in the book) to read in one seating with my hot chocolate, blanket and christmas ASMR videos playing on my projector

loveeeddd that book! I just finished it last week!!
This book and the second book are on my reading stack for this month.
You’ll love North Child. That is such a special book and if you love Fairy Tale type stories it is a must read!!
I just finished Skipping Christmas by John Grisham and really enjoyed it. From the description of Toy Makers, I think that should be your next read. 🎅
🎅🏻 there are seriously so many books not enough time!! I’m def feeling that right now and trying to cram everything in before the end of the year
I know this is an older video but where did you purchase the mug?? I’m so in love 😍

🎅🎅loved the video! I’m not sure if there is already a video of this but I was wondering how do you annotate books?
The snow child is really good! It is sad but meaningful.
Snow child sounded so magical for an Adult novel. I am interested. But I would also like to know how your thoughts would go on Sally Rooney (I have not read any of her books and don’t know where to start)….
Would love to hear your thoughts on Well of Ascension. It’s my favorite book I’ve read all year.
Have to read Under The Whispering Door! 🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻
I read your recommendation of the No Where Emporium and loved it! So thank you for that. I'm currently reading In a Holidaze so thats my festive rec!
🎅🏼How many books on average do you read in a month?
The Toymakers by Robert Dinsdale is one of my favorite books. It is a mash up of different genres. I would describe it as a magical, historical fiction with dark undertones. I've had it in my want to read for years, but I've heard that it gets really dark at the end, is it true ? Does it end terribly ?
🎅 can't wait to hear your review on the vanderbeekerers of 141st street 😊
Love the introduction. I finished Royal Holiday Yesterday and next is the Holiday Switch. 🎅
