Great video. But even though pair vpn is connected and i see the yellow tab my hotspot still runs at the same speed. How do i know that this even works?
I was having an issue with mine while USB tethering on Android, did a little digging and I ended up enabling USB debugging and it started working right after, cheers m8
I am using an old Samsung S10 with Windows 7 on Visible. The S10 is showing mobile data at +25 Mbs vs the 5Mbs on the PC connected with the WiFi hotspot and PairVPN running on both. I noticed in the (2) videos you had PairVPN setup as Unrestricted Access, which I changed mine to and still cannot get past the 5Mbs.
Hi, I'm new to this. I have been following different tutorials trying to connect my laptop to my ps5 with no luck. What I noticed in your video, is the permissions in pairvpn is set to all access and I remember mine being set to Internet only by default. Should it be set to all access? Thanks.
That will definitely help. How are you trying to connect to the PS5? the biggest thing is to share the right connection to the PS5 using Windows internet sharing, make sure to share the PairVPN connection, not the Ehternet or WiFi connection
So i got it working from my phone to laptop. But anytime i try and get my xbox connected to it it starts auto disconnecting anytime i change the properties of anoter Ethernet port please help
What do you mean by another ethernet port? You should have your phone connected by usb or wifi, then share the VPN connection via an ethernet port to the Xbox. You can try doing a USB tether with your phone, and use wifi to connect the xbox. I don't have a gaming system, but I might have to grab something to go over this setup again to see exactly how I did it
@@adamwatts5172 Instead of using ethernet between the second phone or computer, use a hotspot, I used a Windows hotspot, previously called ICS (internet connection sharing) It is now just called "HotSpot" in WIndows 11, and maybe 10 also. The same applies to using a phone, however, the instructions work in general for either an Android phone or Windows device. 1. set up your usual phone by turning on hotspot and installing and turning on PairVPM 2. Take another unused phone, android TV box, Android-based tablet, or Windows PC, and make sure mobile data is turned off, turn off WiFi, and then try to go to a site to make sure it has no internet connection, if using a more recent Android, you can turn off the sim card 3. Turn on WiFi on the secondary device, connect it to the main phones hotspot via wifi, and verify it has an internet connection. 4. Install and turn on pairVPN on the 2nd android device, then connect PairVPN to the main phone, 5. Verify you have one phone with data service, hotspot, and PairVPN, with a secondary Android device or Windows computer connected via wifi to the primary device that is also running and connected to PairVPN that has an internet connection. 6. Now all you need to do is connect your xbox to a hotspot on the secondary phone. Try the hotspot app, but depending on how old it is, you could hit issues, you can also install a 3rd part hotspot app, like NetShare+ Wifi Tether. If you google how to connect Xbox to an android hotspot, or connect Xbox to internet using Android hotspot, you will get a ton of how-tos. The best way to do this is to learn how the process works, instead of reading a step by step list. If using windows, you just turn on the Windows Hotspot, which you can find by going to settings, then searching for hotspot, my video covered Windows, but feel free to ask specific questions about the windows process. I have been meaning to make another video on connecting Xbox, but dealing with Long-Covid, and haven't had the energy to do much, but I'll get it up this month.
hi there , hope ya fine , it did wonders to me actually but one thing i am, concerned is about that the data transfer (not download speed is throttling a lot ) like for say a 20MBps the phone sent just 9.9MBps to my xbox while downloading and that's like 50% drop to be fair
Sorry, I haven't used an iPhone in nearly 2 decades, so not really able to see, but PairVPN doesn't offer an iPhone service. I have a feeling it might be due certain policies that Apple has. You might be able to find something on github that can be sideloaded
Make sure you can access the internet via hotspot first before enabling pair-vpn, that is usually the issue. You can try reinstalling it on the Android device, like all apps, some phones do have issues with PairVPN
Upload speed is usually going to be a lot slower, as it doesn't impact performance much, especially for streaming, which is what the general user is going to be doing.
Here is the thing, even though the provider can't throttle you for using hotspot, they can still throttle the type of data, So, if you are streaming videos, they can tell you are streaming videos, just not that it is through a hotspot, and quite a few providers will throttle streaming, along with other content that uses alot of bandwidth. SO, you could very well be seeing normal throttling due to the type of traffic you are accessing from your PC. You could also have an issue with the app and your particular phone, but my bet is throttling. Perhaps try another provider, like Visible (if in the US) where you can get unlimited for $30, they don't seem to throttle much or see if you can get on a higher plan with your provider that doesn't throttle.
Don't worry, they will let you know. The old solution of connecting to any VPN (like Nord) does still work, but providers catch that real fast, and you simply get a letter saying to stop or else. Anyways, the fact that you are getting such high speeds is proof it is working, else you would be reduced to 5 mbs. If you are really worried, look into 5G home Internet, I am on Verizon 5G. And it runs me about $40 for unlimited speeds, they have tons of deals right now just because they are still building it all out, you can check those out, I think every provider also offers a 5G home internet solution. I can easily hit a GB/s at times, though I am in an area without a direct line of sight, so a lot of times I am reduced to LTE.
Great video. I’m using an iPhone. My PairVPN app occasionally crashes. Anyone else having this issue? Specifically when I try to play an online game while connected…
@@elmo5975 nah. Unfortunately not. It works fine with only one device but it starts acting crazy when I share the connection with a router and then start connecting other devices to it… I’d try PairVPN support, maybe you’ll get an answer. They’ve been pretty unresponsive

Any reason for when I use this app before I could get speeds up to 100mps but now the highest I only get is around 10mps?
I got pairvpn to boost my hotspot speed once from 15mps to 100mps, I have not been able to do the same again
Any clue why the connection from my pairvpn on my phone to my computer is only running at 5mbps? It was running fine before
Be sure the VPN is connected, sometimes you have to reconnect it, so check PairVPN

Hi need help, cannot connect , it say VPN adapter ready waiting for DHCP on the client side. using usb tethering.
Sounds like your PC isn't connected to the phones hotspot via wifi. I have a video on here that shows how to connect
What about for iPhone users ?

Is it normal for the Hotspot speed to rise then fall over and over while using PairVPN when previously it did not?

Mine gets over 200 mbps but I’m scared that it isn’t working I wanna know forsure that it’s not cause it’s so dam fast when gaming online
