If everything had changed in 5-10-15 years, then Rorschach would not only have remained alive, but would have received freedom in those years. If Rorschach had wanted to die himself during that time, then it would have been his decision and his actions. But everything was decided for him.

Does it matter what is canon? DC reboots things all the time. It's not like a book series where there is canon events. One minute Batman is a human and detective, the next he is giving Darksied a beatdown. Canon means very little in comics the majority of the time.
I partly get the die-hard graphic novel fans hating on this movie when it was first released, but quite honestly, in retrospect, it's actually a damn good, underrated movie. Possibly one of the best superhero movies ever made in fact.
As with every movie, it is really, REALLY difficult to portray what is in a book on screen. Lord of the Rings has like 10 different cuts. The movie theater release, the DVD release (which had like 10 minutes of extra footage that at the time would not be allowed at the movies). The extended cut, the directors cut, the extended directors cut, for each danm movie, and then there is the ultimate cut of all movies, where basically all scenes were added. Some altered cuts, where different scenes were chosen. Same with The Hobbit, so much extra lore surrounding Sauron in the extended cuts that would have made the movies actually interesing to see. And even with all those recorded scenes, you still have die hard fans of the books hating on the movies because they do not perfectly portray the books. Even though easily 90% of the books have been recorded at some point
The crappy thing about the situation was that millions were already dead. If he had told everyone what really happened it would have all been for naught. Plus, in the extended story his report got out and Veidt's plot was revealed and what followed was a nuclear war. It really was a no-win situation.
he had his flaws but i think what he ment with its human nature is that he cant force people into annything lasting change is change that people go through that what they wil accept,in other words the only real change is the one you want to undergo

The score playing whilst we witness the conflict within Dr Manhattan before the kill. You could feel his hesitation and knowing that he'll always have regret, but that there's no choice in the matter. They make you see the immense concern in the doc's eyes Brilliant scene!

Rorschach was afraid at first then shed all of his fear in his final moments as he stared down God and was atomised by him. “Never comprise, even in the face of Armageddon”
Watchmen is the most important comic in superhero's comic history. There is not such a thing as "the first super hero", Teseo was a superhero. Hercules was a superhero. Son Goku. They always existed. But Watchmen and the death of Gwen were the single most important moments in S.H. comics.

The irony is, there's no such thing as "human nature" (as it's usually understood). That very "nature" is always formed by the environment the human grows in and forms as a person.
False. Our morals are based on the envinronment, our beliefs. But human nature remains the same.
