She paved the way for so many women in Rock and Roll. Look at all the women in Rock that came after her and how they perform and you'll see what I mean. That wildness, that rawness, that energy, and that grit. Tina was a revolutionary.
Many times when you are black, non-typical, & rare, but uniquely great, it takes a while for your own to really fully appreciate you. One of the reasons this woman went to find her place and this means many times crossing over to another culture and race, is to get the REAL appreciation that she should have long gotten. Go where you fit in and she crosses all boundaries for greatness has no limitations. She is pure Rare RAW talent that's uncomparable.
attention everybody make sure u go check out FANTASIA new hot video for her new single called "Enough" here on youtube its fire she remind me so much of Tina with her raw talent
Rest In Peace, Ike Turner. Though you're remembered for what you notoriously did, you did contribute a great deal to music, especially bringing Tina Turner to the forefront.
Lady Vegan she said many times she didn’t wanna leave her kids in that situation with an abusive father at least she could monitor and kinda help them when she was around and let’s not forget it wasn’t like that in the beginning Tina was a single black mother in the 50’s that Ike rescued so maybe Tina wanted to repay him and a lot even happened that we don’t know about such as Tina fighting Ike’s other mistresses and actually dumbass Tina Turner is still her stage name but legally her documents say anna mae bullock
I grew up in St. Louis the same time as Tina and we graduated from high school at the same time. Two years after graduation she already was an accomplished star. She and Ike performed in a club a short drive from my family's house. Ike came up the brilliant character of Tina, the Ikettes and the whole review concept of the act. As bombastic as the act was off stage both of them were quiet and thoughtful individuals, very focused on their work and very bright. A lot of people who followed them in St. Louis felt it was inevitable Tina would go solo and became a great star.
Seen this video so many times as a few years ago I went on a crazy Tina Turner watch and seen just about everything recorded with Tina from commercials, music, autograph signings, and on shows with Ike… she was the most amazing spectacle in rock n roll history!
Tina Turner is such a gift! Just her stance, foot flip, body language between songs speaks of her beautiful strong character. Hail To Her! And Yes, The Man, Ike. Both sacred forces to be reckoned with. Sure sucks that joy and sorrow seem to be companions. Most try their best. All impact. ♥️
Her unique sound and raw energy was something different and exciting at the time. Ike saw this talent in her early on. I really think don't she would have become the star she is today without him or anybody else. I also think a lot of her raw energy came from their turbulent relationship. I'm thankful she was finally able to leave him but I'm also thankful for the music they created together.
I Saw Ike & Tina Turner at Skate Land in NorthRige. We Played the same night! Right after them!! Man That was Rough. But we lived though it. It was a Great Night!!They were Great!!! I think it was 1966.
You have to admit they were dynamic here. They were not always unhappy. In the beginning of their relationship they enjoyed each other. You can see here they were happy or portrayed being happy very well.
Ike Turner was a musical genius, producer, talent scout, tina and Ike where terrific. Ike was remembered the wrong way, his influence is incredible, first rock and roll Rocket 88!
2018 ... movie bought me here. Made her go on the road sick right out the hospital. SMH... can never get enough of this movie. Just glad she left!!! 😍😍🤗🤗
After watching this video so many times, my NEW favorite part is between 0:09 - 0:16 seconds. The pianist plays the riff, while Tina patiently waits to pick up her part, but is completely taken back by how he jazzed the keys. Her body slumps in submission. She says "Yeahhh" like 'boy if you don't get out of here!' while turning around to give him a much deserved nod of acknowledgement. He is all too pleased with himself and is blushing uncontrollably. UGH! I live for moments like this with live performance. Nothing better than watching the chemistry of extremely talented musicians.
Tina was a knockout in the day!!!! I don't of anyone nowadays who can sing perfectly live while dancing at the same time! Eat your heart out, Britney!!
this is classic Ike and tina from 65 they were just plain Awesome and Dangerous at the same time. Taken from the American release "The Big TNT Show". Love It!!!
Hello, I'm a Frenchtalker Belgian, I'm 51 (born 1961). I bought the 45r of "Darling..." (the second song) (I don't know the real title of this song, but the record was done in 1961...), but I sell it some times later because I was a teenager and I had no money. I'm now very sad to have sell it for some litlle pieces of money because it's one of Tina's best song and it's surely a classic now. Really a pity :-(
@@tamereauswadley4275 she bought Tina's influence in The performance of The End Of Time. Also The UK Girl Group Girls Aloud bought her influence when they performed Miss You Bow Wow.

I agree...if anything beyonce is paying homage to this generation...BUT...you can't replicate greatness....
Yes indeed Brandon cheers from beautiful New Zealand imagine if the Ike and Tina Turner revue was still together that would be a blast indeed.
Brandon Booker I couldn't agree more, she is truly a pioneer
So true. I’ve not played this video before and immediately thought of Janis Joplin.
Rock and roll period ! They classified this as “blues” back then but this is clearly early rock., which was birthed from blues anyway.

The energy is unstoppable!!!! I love Tina!! Aside from the abuse, Her and Ike made amazing music together.
And then Tina went on to make even more great music once she escaped her abuser!
That's a huge aside.
ASIDE FROM THE ABUSE???? Are you fricking serious??? ASIDE from the abuse
She sang great because she had it in her
But you never sho
Janis Joplin called Tina her favorite. Makes sense. What a force of nature.
JonMatt62 Makes total sense my good man! Enjoy this! We all did and we will be playing this for years and years to come G-D Willing!

It so happens both Tina and Janice are members of the greatest wailers of all time club. I also consider Joe Cocker to be in that club
Janice was a white Tina.
James Brown said the only act he wouldn't follow onto stage was Tina Turner. There can be no higher compliment.
Unbelievable at how much Ike pushed her vocal chords during the early 60s only to flawless during the 80s-00s her voice is very amazing
Ike was a genious. I think he realised pretty soon Tina had .. endless talent and charisma and whould outshine him.
What a performer . . . her outfits still work today!
+Jimmy Bradshaw except for that doo-rag on her head, she looks just fine!
I've got to admit her overall look is outstanding; in 2015 as well. I'd wear it all currently . . . 'Style' , Tina.
How could u not love her? Listen to that voice!
Rest In Peace, Ike Turner. Though you're remembered for what you notoriously did, you did contribute a great deal to music, especially bringing Tina Turner to the forefront.
Yes, that's true
I dont believe theres anybody out there will ever top Tina or come close to topping her. Shes alwayz number 1 on my list
I've loved her performances for 50 years. There will never be another Tina Turner!!
its so eerie watching them knowing now what was really going on behind closed doors
Yes.
True. A smile can hide a lot.
Yeah I agree. It gives me chills. But at the same time this wouldve been adorable if the backstory was true. But it is.
Nice victim blaming

My first concert, summer of 1960, their first tour with new hit single, Fool In Love
This was frigging great!!!! Ike and Tina were awesome here.
I was born in the late 80's, 1987 but I feel I was robbed of good music.
This song has so much oomph I defy anybody to sit still while listening to it. What a woman she was.
Saw them and the Review at Delta State early 70s and yes it was electrifying!
I got goosebumps!! This woman is so strong and faithful God bless her!
She was pretty as hell. & I wish ppl would stop talkin bad about todays music. It's a new day, things can't stay the same.
WHAT AN AMAZING WOMAN, PERFORMER AND ARTIST!!!!

my my my this is a baddd woman ..why didnt ike cherish this??? smhhhh
Tina's a goddess. If he was an insecure person, maybe being with her made him feel inferior.
You have to admit they were dynamic here. They were not always unhappy. In the beginning of their relationship they enjoyed each other. You can see here they were happy or portrayed being happy very well.
Ahh! It gives me chills to listen to her! absolutely amazing

For being into metal and hard rock, I gotta say that this woman's got some hard core kicks in her. Wow
Tina Turner was a rock star straight up. She's just raw and electric ❤❤❤
superb performers...i was glad to have seen them in Cleveland, Mississippi, 1971.
The best thing in the world is to have rock'n'roll in veins.
Sad people who will never understand that feeling about this music.

Work oout fine. A beauty!!!!! One of her better ones. But less remembered.
this video makes me sad and so nostalgic for good music of the past like this.
The more I watch these Tina videos I see how much Beyonce took from her.
steal from her..
She said Tina was her idol
@@tamereauswadley4275 she bought Tina's influence in The performance of The End Of Time. Also The UK Girl Group Girls Aloud bought her influence when they performed Miss You Bow Wow.
Whitney too
I said the same thinggggg. Beyonce was definitly inspired by tina, but she didn't steal anything from her.
Goddamit she's great!!!! 2013 and to me this beats most music of today.
WOOOOOW that country woman's stage presence is amazing. I love Ms. Tina.
